Stopped by with the family to the recently opened authentic local Mexican restaurant. Very impressed in every way. I believe this is their 2nd location. They have the original location in the Wall Street area so they really know what they are doing. First the staff. They were all welcoming and attentive. Took the orders right away and the food came out pretty quickly. The layout of the seating area is a bit awkward because it's on a corner triangular lot. That being said, the owners did a great job maximizing the space to be functional. The seating and the furniture are also simple yet functional. Most of all, everything is very clean! Now for the food: We had the steak bowl , fish tacos and steak tacos. Large portions and nice authentic flavor. Real homemade taste using fresh ingredients. Can't beat that. Also the price was extremely reasonable. An incredible find and this gem fills the void that this side of Brooklyn sorely needed. read more

Great addition to the Flatbush neighborhood! I was very excited about the opening of this restaurant. The drinks are great and so is the food. Very cute and intimate decor, the vibe is very tropical and welcoming and staff is very friendly. Food is authentic and flavorful! The inside of the the place is beautiful it's a great spot for people to take pics for social media. Other then that they don't have much to offer. The drinks are pretty watered down it's like drinking juice. The workers don't seem to know what their doing at all. The food itself just dry bland and unflavored. The beans had no flavor the rice was okay but the steak was the worst steak I ever had. It was sooooo dry and lacking of flavoring even dipping it in salsa didn't help. The best thing I had there was salsa and chips. Maybe I just went there when the chef was having a bad day otherwise I'd switch up the kitchen staff or the recipes. read more

I stopped by to have something to eat. The food wasn't great. I had a shrimp quesadilla, which had like two pieces of shrimp on each slice. It definitely had a lot of white cheese. I ate two of the slices. For the appetizer, I had the chips and guacamole, I'm not sure why it didn't come with salsa. Unfortunately, the chips were a bit stale. The drinks were okay. It's a small place but the decor is pretty. I'm not sure I would return. I give 3 stars because the waiter was pleasant and professional, and the decor is pretty. BEWARE! all the reviews on here are probably family/friends or from a promotion. The food has no flavor. When I say zero I mean zero. please please don't waste your money here and I mean it when I say it. I ordered quesadillas and it literally was two Mission tortilla with some shredded cheese. So, I'm always reluctant to order from restaurants in my neighborhood because they've been either just okay/pretty good (nothing that blew me away), or have been just plain bad. I read many good reviews on this place on seamless/grubhub... so I decided to order one night because I wanted to believe at least one place around here was worth ordering from/going to. I was very pleasantly surprised when I took the first bite of my burrito. First off, the burrito was on point. There's not many places in NYC, let alone Brooklyn that makes a really good burrito, aside from a couple places I heard about down by Williamsburg (other side of Brooklyn). Then I let my wife take a bite because her standards for mexican/latino food are a bit higher than mine (so she says)... she loved it and asked where I ordered from. Next time we ordered we sampled a bunch of things off the menu. Got the burrito again. Got a beef and chicken quesadillas, chips & guac (their guac is on point, if a Mexican spot is to be truly great... they must have great guac). We also order Chicken Enchiladas, and Carne Asada (Yes we had lots of leftovers for lunch the next day). Burrito - again it was on point... consistency with a restaurant is a huge plus for me. Both quesadillas were very good. The chicken enchiladas were amazing - really really good, reminded me of a time when I used to hang out at my friend Antonio's house as a kid and his mom would cook for us. She was a great cook. Their guac is really good. Some people say "how can you mess up guac?" - trust me... you can. If you've had "bad guac", you know what I'm talking about. We even put it in the fridge for next day and it was just as tasty. The carne asada (which was listed under "Lola's Favorites" on their menu was really good. The steak was flavorful and not overcooked and blended great with the other flavors of the dish. I highly recommend this spot. Most people don't come over to the area to eat... this is worth the trip. I haven't eaten there in person, so I can't comment on the service or anything like that... but if you want guaranteed good mexican food and there's nothing good by you, it's worth the trip to satisfy your craving! read more

My daughter and I saw this restaurant last Wednesday and noticed it had a really cute and dainty look. Today we decided to look at the reviews and check it out. We were greeted by a young lady named Ashley and seated. She brought us water and a couple minutes later a gentleman by the name David noticed my grand daughter was able to sip from a straw and he brought her a plastic cup with a sippy straw. I had the chicken bowl and my daughter had the chicken, shrimp and steak fajita. They were both amazing. The shrimp was cooked to profection. We also had virgin pina coladas, which were made by David. They were also great. Ashley and David made the experience great. For bunch, lunch or dinner I would recommend without reserve. read more

I'd like to give this place 3.5 stars but I cant...the waitresses are nice, just wish they were a bit more attentive. The food was alright, I wish the tacos had more flavor but they were not great. The fish tacos were a little to "fishy" and were served shredded. I didn't like that or expect that but there was no description of how it would be served on the menu. I'd assumed it would be fried or a filled but was not the best way to serve a fish taco. The steak tacos were also a miss in my opinion, the steak was chopped up and over cooked leaving them tough and difficult to eat. I had one of each taco and couldn't finish them. The waitress didn't really ask why I didn't finish them or want to take them home. My wife enjoyed her fajitas and her drink, I probably won't be returning but who knows my wife enjoyed the place. Came here when they first opened , staff super friendly and as always everyone wants to try the new restaurants so I was excited to see what they're about. First 2 weeks they were great . Food is fresh and tasty ! Had the shrimp tacos and the shrimp bowl. I always did take out bcuz it would get crowded during certain hours Third week in I ordered my usual shrimp bowl and was very disappointed to see they downsized big time., however the prices remained the same. l Hello, I went to Lola's restaurant on December 19, 2021. The food was delicious. I have two complaints, though. There was zero heat in the restaurant; how can you expect customers to enjoy the food on a cold evening when there was no heat inside the place? In addition, I like music, but the music was played so loud, it's challenging to have a conversation with another person. I went into Lola's expecting it to be a lot better there were people outside dining Aswell as inside and I though to myself looks like a fine place to get Mexican food I order a burrito to go had a nice presentation for a take out order came in a little black bowl first strikes come here I asked for them to customize some of the ingredients in my order in which I was quickly dismissed with a can't do it's restaurant policy I asked for chipotle mayo in my burrito they couldn't do it I place of the sour cream I said to myself "sour cream doesn't even belong in a burrito" I should have listened to my inside voice and never ordered it but I digress I receive my order in a brown bag stapled up like a Uber order since they couldn't put the chipotle mayo in the burrito I asked for it on the side in which they also did not fulfill and instead gave me hot sauce which I think was racially motivated do the fact I'm am slightly colored and most people of color like hot sauce not completely the reason for it but if it was probably explains the bad customer service on top of not caring for how my order was fulfilled they probably though I couldn't afford the food and rushed it and treated me like less of a customer but that's okay that's why I'm here making this review but, I don't know if their other food options might be the cause of their popularity but as far as their burritos I don't think it's worth your time or money to buy it from here I hope your experience is much better than mine have a great day!! read more

Fresh and yummy. Quaint little place with a nice open type ambiance. It's not a typical cantina. Reminds me of a east village type with pillow lounge seats. Impressive for a busy Flatbush place. The price is almost the same with a regular Mexican cantina. I usually hang out Duet Restaurant but this is a nice change. The prices are reasonable for a relaxing place. Beef soft tacos: it passes my son's picky standards. We often eat in Mexican neighborhoods . We eat in authentic Mexican grocery / restaurant all-in-one. I ordered guacamole because I make my own. This one taste good But taste store bought, sprinkled with real cilantro. ( real Mexican restaurants with karaoke inside have guacamole with a spicier blend and chunkier cuts of onion tomatoes. Highway robbery! Shady business practices! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! We ordered a buy one get one free deal from this restaurant and they only sent 1 item. They charged us $25 for ONE QUESADILLA! I could eat quesadillas for a week if I brought the ingredients myself! When I called to complain, they blamed it on the way I ordered. But, I've bought buy one get one deals on Uber Eats before and the free item was added without a problem. We were trying to give a new business a chance! Never again! It's a no for me. Although I appear to not be a majority. When the restaurant first came out, we were ecstatic. A local sit-down Mexican restaurant? Yes!!! We first tried take out and were overall disappointed however I didn't want to let that experience deter me forever. I don't remember everything we ordered however the quesadilla was good and we ordered something steak and it was dry and flavorless. So fast forward to recently, we decided to sit down and give the restaurant a shot. First of all, they are not child friendly. Which is surprising considering it is in a family neighborhood. No high chair. No kids menu. Ok fine, no problem. We ordered her French fries as soon as we sat down and they came out without any salt at all. Ok fine, I'll let that go also considering it's a Mexican restaurant and I ordered fries. Out comes our main dishes, I ordered the shrimp quesadilla which was good. We ordered a side of rice and beans for our daughter. Again, bland. My husband ordered the pork chops which were over-cooked and bland. I'm not sure who is saying how tasty this food is but it is not authentic Mexican in my opinion. Seems very "watered-down" in terms of flavor and the fact that both times, the only good item was a quesadilla, again, very "Americanized". The inside was nicely decorated. The waitress was friendly but I did see them turn people away at a certain time saying they close at 8 and last sit down is ... (I believe they said 7:15 but not 100% sure) Don't advertise your restaurant to close at 8 then. This place has potential. Great location and nice ambiance. First, I want yo say, I am very happy there is a New Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. We need more local food spots other than fast food joints in the neighborhood. I was not blown away by the food. It was far from authentic Mexican, which we can get at Ditmas and Lefferts garden. Food was very bland and catered to the classic American palate. Wish food had more onions and cilantro and spicy salsa verde. I am writing this review in hopes they diversify their menu offerings and add a little more spice to it. I will support them and buy from them again. We need more restaurants in the area. read more
