It was where we watched two NFC wildcard game: the first between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, and then the Bears vs the Rams the following week. The bar also faces the screen, so folks would enjoy the experience there as well. It was still quite chilly at night in the LA area, so the ability to checkout blankets and towels (free but need to be returned) was greatly appreciated. The view to the screen was good even with full sunlight, and the sound was good, allowing us to clearly hear the play by play. Since many of the complementary restaurants with bar type food are nearby, this is a great idea to have a meal while watching whatever is showing on the screen. This includes second-run movies at various times, including late evening. Unlike other cruise lines, live sporting events are not shown on the in room TVs, so the place was quite popular during the times we attended.

Ground was a bit uneven and less grass than usual and I think that's because there are a lot more events happening in this space over the summer. We still made the best of it. DJ's were better than ever, the stages are from Desert Hearts festival, lots of great vendors, lots of art and I even got lost (weird cause it's not a huge festival) and ended up finding some secret stages not on the schedule. It goes from 2pm - 10pm on both Saturday and Sunday then you have to pack it up and go. It's not an overnight camping festival.

Security and staff were a little disorganized checking tickets and searching people. It was hard to tell where the line was forming. The front part of the venue was hosting a small art show. Small bar towards the back and plenty of clean restrooms. No place to sit inside , but that's ok, danced the night away anyways. Decent size stage, good sounds and atmosphere. Street parking nearby or pay a few extra bucks for one of the parking garages down the street. Would definitely come back for another event.

You bring your own blankets, food, and drinks, set up a picnic with friends or family, and hang out while a DJ plays music before the movie starts. It feels more like a summer event than just going to see a movie, and the vibes are always immaculate. If you don't feel like packing everything yourself, they also have concessions with all the classic movie snacks, alcohol, and even hot food. The burgers smelled amazing the last time I was there, and it's nice having that option. One tip: I always recommend paying for the onsite parking. It's worth the convenience, especially when you're carrying blankets, chairs, coolers, and everything else that comes with a picnic setup. My only complaint has nothing to do with Cinespia itself--it's Ticketweb. Buying tickets through their platform has consistently been frustrating and is easily the worst part of the experience. Other than that, I can't recommend Cinespia enough. It's such a fun, unique way to spend a summer evening and something I always suggest to anyone looking for a memorable night out in LA.

It's great that they let you bring in your own food and drinks. We used to line up in the front lawn area and have a drink or 2 before the gates opened. We stopped doing that because the sun and heat got to be a bit too much and also, the nearby establishments won't let you use their bathroom. On site parking is expensive but there's nearby parking that doesn't cost too much if you don't mind walking a bit with your picnic items and chairs.

Congratulations! I found a theater that beat the Pantages in discomfort! I know its an old venue…read morebut these are the worst seats I have ever had the displeasure of sitting in for so long. By the end of show my behind hurt, my knees hurt. It was just awful. This is also the first time in my many years of show going I saw (and heard) people leaving during intermission due the discomfort of the seats. One lady even screamed in the narrow passage way to I assume the rest of her party (MY KNEES CANT TAKE ANYMORE). Her husband then said yeah Im running her home and ill be back. This was my first time going to this theater so my first impressions were good at first. Staff seemed personable. We went to see August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean. I have never been to a theater in a U shape before. I have decided I dont care for it. There were so many times where I didnt know what was going on because the actors back was to me. I dont know if there was a kiss, a nose snuggle, who knows. My partner also point out that in one scene on our side we saw that one actor was rubbing anothers foot. This was how the piece came back from the dark. He pointed out that the folks on the other side had zero clue because they just saw her back. He also pointed out how much wasnt really used and the set could have been "pushed back" for better viewing and I agree. I also found it distracting for me to see the audience across, folks were laughing and speaking in times that didnt call for it and for someone like me who is ever observant it was a distraction. Final complaint the smoke machine was too much for me. It literally made me start coughing. The people I was with also said it got to them in other ways. The sound was good, lighting good. If I am invited back to a performance at this place as I was this time, I would have to see the run time of the piece. This piece went on for almost 3 hours and oh how could I forget started close to 20 minutes late! Just not cool man. As a first time goer it made me wonder if this is the norm for this theater and would have to keep that in mind as well.

Because it's a short walk from Belmont Shore, we typically have brunch nearby so that we not only find a convenient parking spot, but are well caffeinated before taking on the wares of the day. They do have a variety of food trucks available on-site too if get hungry mid-shopping. The saving grace is usually the shaved ice truck, cause it can sometimes get so hot out and it provides a nice little sweet relief. I love that it's free and there's always a good variety of things to look at. Be sure to bring some sunscreen, a hat, and maybe a tote bag in case you score a lot of goodies.

Came here today to check out this arts & Crafts fair. Spent a good 1 to 1.5 hours here looking at…read morebooths, buying some chili sauce, and trying a couple food samples. Food trucks lined the perimeter, didn't get a dish other than buying a can of Orangina to quench thirst on a hot day. Parked in the lot that's near the lifeguard museum, had to walk a good 10 minutes from parking space to the fair.
