I like to arrive early to get snacks & use the restroom. I validated before I left & scanned at the garage & I did not have to pay. What a relief. The theater concession stand line was long compared to other locations Ive been to. Instead of a cafeteria type assembly line this location uses separate cashiers. They do not have the famous kettle corn here but the popcorn was still enjoyable. Bathroom and theater was clean and theater seemed to be well staffed.

We found parking on the street, though the large parking garage supports validation from the theater. Like many theaters, tickets were discounted for Tuesday and our friend picked up the tab for the four of us. All the seats were reclining loungers, with newly installed gliding tables to allow easy snacking (popcorn ($8.19 for Large), Dip'n'dots ice cream, drink, and chocolates were all bought, treated by my mother-in-law). Sound and visuals were excellent, seats and temperature were really comfortable, and the 2+ hours flew by. It was a nice ending to a good day, seeing a really great movie with family and friends.

Forbidden Fruits was our movie of choice at AMC Marina Pacifica 12! Inside of the Theater | A small selection of seating! The theater was absolutely packed for this particular movie! It was a sold out show, minus the handicap seat next to me, which no one sat in; my handbag! Outside | When you purchase a ticket outside in the center, to the left and to the right are two totally different entrances/buildings, depending upon which theater you're in! Seating | Cozy reclining seats, which I enjoyed! Since we selected seats last minute, we weren't able to sit together, which is completely fine! After all, the entertainment is in front of us on the screen! Restrooms | Neat & tidy! Customer Service | Friendly service with a smile, as well as happily pointed us in the correct direction to our theater! Overall | If in the area, I would easily return to this theater! Plus, there are numerous shops and restaurants nearby! Excellent!

The theatre itself was nice. Smaller and more intimate, the seats were full recliners. The sound and image quality of the film was excellent. The restroom was clean. Parking is fairly easy out front in a retail shopping space. Overall, this is a solid theatre option in Long Beach for those looking for the AMC brand experience.

Parking can sometimes be a challenge depending on the time of day, but it's always worth it. The theater is well kept and has such a welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the concessions go beyond the usual. They serve popcorn with vegan butter, hot dogs, candy, and even alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. And if you prefer, you're welcome to bring in your own food and beverages, which makes it even more unique. I love that this single-screen theater showcases a mix of first-run, independent, and international films. They keep their website updated with showtimes, plus they have out a printed monthly calendar for those who like to plan ahead. They also offer a stamp card, after 5 visits you get a free popcorn, and after 10, a free movie. Every visit has been a great experience, and this one was no different. If you haven't been, you're truly missing out. Come see a film here and you won't regret it.

Heehee. I loved the little tables for each seat, and the big cup holder. Less mess and spillage. Movie tickets were not cheap but luckily we have gift movie vouchers that discounted the price dramatically. The snack prices are outrageous, we spent 45 dollars on one small soda, one medium popcorn, and one little box of BunchaCrunch. More than twice as much as our discounted movie tickets. And they probably needed to add one more person behind the snack counter that day, line was getting pretty long - maybe that why they have super long ads before the movie so you don't miss the actual movie if you want to get a snack in this line :) Was it worth it? Probably for us, yes, as this is considered our little vacation date. If we are able to break away from our daily routine and spend time with eachother, it is well worth it. The sound was pretty loud but I loved it. Didn't like the 30++ minutes of ads before the flick. But I guess this will never change. Overall, it was a pretty good experience, for when you really need to see a certain movie on the big screen.

Ever since they remodeled the movie theater, it feels super modern and comfortable. The seats were honestly one of the best parts. They recline and have that soft cushioned sofa-style feel which made the whole movie experience way better. The picture quality was great, the sound system was solid, and overall the theater just felt really clean and well kept. We kept it simple and just got popcorn and a large soda to share. Honestly, it was more than enough for both me and my wife. We asked for an extra container so we could split the popcorn, and I loaded mine up with butter while she kept hers plain. Small thing, but the staff was cool about it. I also liked the location. It's right by Cheesecake Factory and the whole Cerritos mall area, so there's plenty to do before or after the movie. I noticed they even have a bar inside which looked pretty nice. Next time I go, I'm definitely showing up a little earlier to grab a couple drinks beforehand. We didn't try the food since we had already eaten, but the pizzas actually looked pretty good, and I saw they also have burgers and chicken sandwiches. Our movie started at 11:00 a.m., and we figured showing up 5-10 minutes beforehand would be plenty of time, but the line was surprisingly long. Between purchasing tickets and grabbing snacks from the concession stand, you'll want to give yourself a little extra time. One of the biggest perks is their $5 movie promotion on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays before 6:00 p.m. That alone makes it a great value. We also picked up snacks from the concession stand. The popcorn was fresh, which is always a plus at a movie theater. We also ordered nachos but the cheese wasn't my favorite, but it was decent. We got a large Icee as well, and I liked that large sizes come with free refills. They also offer beer, wine, and seltzers, which was a nice surprise. The theater itself isn't huge, but it was comfortable and clean. You select your seats when purchasing tickets, which was convenient. I hadn't been to a movie theater in a while, so that was new to me. They also have a rewards program, and I signed up during our visit because it seemed worthwhile. This isn't a luxury theater with all the bells and whistles, but that's part of its charm. It's a simple, no-frills neighborhood movie theater that's affordable, easy to visit, and perfect when you just want to catch a movie without the hassle. We'll definitely be back.

The theater was absolutely packed. The line to buy tickets alone was down the parking lot. When I got into the auditorium, it was slammed with people and they were so loud the whole movie. I'm aware that has nothing to do with the workers and the people running the cinemas, but man it was so bad. I mean people were coming in and out of the theater during the movie which is really annoying and distracting. People were talking and laughing during the movie and made no effort to be discreet or anything along those lines. People are on their phones too with the brightness all the way up. I can't even properly enjoy the movie with all this shit going on, it made me really want to ask for my money back. If you come to this theater on a Sunday, this is what you will probably have to deal with.

To enter, visitors proceed to the Bixby Hill residential security gate at the intersection of East Anaheim Road and Palo Verde Avenue. Entrance is strictly at 1pm, as the guard will not allow entrance prior to that. Operating hours are 1pm - 5pm Wed - Sun. Initial visit, the barn area w/ the livestock was closed off due to a water main break. Tours of the Adobe Ranch is via a docent-led tour, which can be made at the Rancho Center. No photography is permitted. Tom was the docent, and he was quite knowledgeable of the history of Rancho Los Alamitos, allowing passage into each room on the first floor. Second floor was closed to visitors. My favorite room was the kitchen, as I marveled at the various appliances, such as the still operational refrigerator, with the condenser on top, instead of bottom. Also, the heavy, built to last stove, which probably served a countless number of meals for the family & staff working the ranch. There were a few objects which were available to touch, such as an early proto version of a View-Master. The cherry on top of the Adobe Ranch visit was pulling the rope attached to the dinner bell, signifying everyone to "come & get it!". The handsome, well-maintained garden landscape surrounding the property provides natural beauty & plenty of photo opportunities. Second visit was more fun, as the barn & livestock areas were open to the public, again! Preston, a magnificent Shire horse, towers over almost all visitors, and stuns with his majestic beauty. In the world record books, a Shire horse named Sampson is the largest recorded horse ever, at 7' 2.5" tall & 3,360 lbs. Not to be outdone, Fred the donkey bombastically greets people with his hee-haws. A few rescue horses, sheep & a coop full of chickens provided plenty of enjoyment. A pleasurable afternoon can be had at Rancho Los Alamitos. Visitors gaze back in time upon a working ranch, experience how things were built to stand the test of time, opposed to planned obsolescence of most machinery & appliances, today. Visiting Preston, Fred & the other animals, alone, is worth the drive. I look forward to coming back & I highly recommend giving Rancho Los Alamitos a visit.

Getting there is part of the experience: you check in with the guard, receive a permit, and drive up the hill before checking in at the front desk. Once you're in, it opens up into this ranch beautiful historic space that feels worlds away from the city. The grounds are stunning. There are lush gardens, a tennis court, and even livestock--horses and chickens--which add so much charm. The ranch sits up on a hill, and it's the perfect place to just relax, sunbathe, or wander and take everything in. One of my favorite spots is the massive tree in the front yard, with its roots stretching out--it's incredibly impressive and peaceful to sit near. What makes it even more special is that it's free, which honestly feels unbelievable given how well-maintained and meaningful the space is. There's also a deep sense of history here, especially tied to the Bixby family and the legacy of the women who helped shape it, which adds another layer of appreciation when you visit. Part of me almost wants to keep it a secret because it feels so personal and serene--but it truly deserves all the praise. I feel lucky to have a place like this right in our backyard

Friday the 13th found us sitting on graves while watching Rocky Horror on a large inflated screen while the Long Beach Art Theatre cast performed along with movie. Yes, there was literally dancing on graves going on here. The gravestones were interesting to read while we waited for the performance to start. Most of them were from a hundred years ago! The doors opened at 6:30 and the performance and movie started at 9, giving the audience time to enjoy a picnic or visit the food trucks parked in the graveyard. (Now that's a phrase I never thought I would write.) Four food trucks were there next to the port-a-potties. I didn't see anything saying that you could or couldn't bring alcohol, but a lot of people had alcohol out in the open, so I guess it's okay. Our neighbors even popped a bottle of champagne. Some tips for movie night: Come early if you want good parking. Late comers have to park across the street. Drive a small car if you can. The graveyard driveway is pretty narrow. It got pretty chilly in the later hours, so I suggest bringing jackets/blankets. Bring a low back chair,as taller chairs need to go to the back or side.
