First timer. I have driven by this location many times even after having heard them say they made the best tacos. Today was special and I took the time to wait in line. I studied the menu online so I was ready to order even when the line moved so quickly! One basic breakfast taco and two fajita tacos-beef and chicken. Considering how many times I've driven by this place I can't believe I'm just finally giving it a try. From comparing menu/prices from yelp and when I drove through , they've definitely skyrocketed their prices on everything (I guess because of how busy they always are .) The spot in which this business is located is really inconvenient considering the everyday like pushes cars out into the street who are waiting to order . The tacos themselves were pretty good, and I really enjoyed the 1 included salsa. However , for over $3 a taco with only 2-3 ingredients I feel like there's much easier accessible places with better prices and quality to go to. read more

Food is fantastic (just avoid the bacon it is a very thick cut and gets overcooked every time, it's basically like adding greasy rocks into your taco) Service is quick and simple even with the long lines. However, they hardly give out any salsa with the tacos and even if you ask for extra you get hit with resistance (not sure why because the salsa is in the tiniest containers I've ever seen) It's located in a small lot that isn't built for how popular they get during the day, and despite this obvious disadvantage, they manage to move the lines along with ease. Even when the line is longer than the property I still get in. 20 minute wait at the most. Always worth it. read more

Fantastic little taco joint! Came through San Marcos by chance and happened upon this place. First off, I absolutely loved the double sided drive thru lanes, what a cute and efficient idea. The menu was perfect, not too many choices, not too little, just right. I absolutely loved the specialties they had for breakfast tacos, especially the Migas con Todo and the Ranchero Combo. They were both so well made and just the perfect amount of spice so that my gringo tastebuds were given that perfect mixture of spicy and cheesy. My wife ordered the lunch guisada taco and oooweee was that finger licking good. The meat was so tender, so juicy, so robust in flavor that I regretted not ordering one myself. Little note for those of you who think it's too messy, well get over it. Presentation does not equal great flavor in this scenario. After 3 years of living in San Mo I finally got tacos from here. These are the BEST breakfast tacos I have tried in San Marcos!! I got 2 chorizo & egg tacos, the flour tortilla is handmade and let me tell you these tacos are big!! I also got a Lolita's Combo but I preferred the chorizo They give you a lot of salsas (red & green). The salsa is not spicy but the green has a great flavor! The lady at the drive thru was so sweet & nice! She gave me a free barbacoa taco ( corn) and this is truly an authentic Mexican taco. I do wish they were open more late so I can eat some tacos for dinner, but I will definitely be coming back for sure. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed. read more

I've gotten Loli's tacos a few times, and I've had the same problem each time. There's almost as much outside of the taco as there is inside of the taco. While the tacos are good, I don't think they're worth the up charge compared to places like Jo's, Chepo's or Casa Choi. Those places seem to put way more effort into their tacos, and they have a larger selection of ingredients. Since this has been a recurring problem with Loli's, I'm going to stick to my go to with Jo's. read more

We got the Picadillo loaded taco and the lolitas combo one which had meaty bacon, egg, potato, bean and cheese. I also ordered a cup of the salsa verde which was a little spicier than the red sauce. I skipped my hotel breakfast to give these tacos a try. I was so excited to bring them back and boy was I disappointed. Two of my tacos were wrong, I got potato and bacon, not what I ordered. The bacon was so hard and the potatoes were huge chunks, maybe they're known for that but these tacos are not worth the long wait in line. Only thing we all loved was the salsa verde. read more

I think I made a rookie mistake. I ordered the California Burrito with chicken and it was the size of a small child. I don't know how anyone finishes that but I barely made a dent in it! I however, really did want to finish it because oh my gosh it was oh so good! Everything is super fresh from the vegetables to the salsa to the tortillas! They are famous for their breakfast tacos and I'm honestly scared to try them in fear that I will be back every morning and throw the whole diet away. So if you plan on going to Loli's (which you should) know that this is strictly takeout. There's a drive thru and walk up window. There's no seating so be prepared to eat in your car or take it home. So we came out this direction early this morning to pickup a bed frame we had bought off one of these selling apps n had to wait in order to get a trailer to haul our new frame bcuz it was too long to fit in the back of our truck. The wait was not long n we got our bag of warm inviting smells coming from the small opening at the top If our bag n headed to the trailer place to inhale our tacos. Opened up the chorizo n papas n the papas were nice size a tad shiny with grease n bits of chorizo sprinkled thruout my papas, great flavor!!! The tortillas were homemade n soft n warm n my tacos were delicious!!! Then I opened up my carne guisada with cheese n big soft pieces of beef we're takin a dip in a smooth brown gravy when I unwrapped this beauty!!! The meat was tender n fell apart in my mouth, the sauce was seasoned just rite n not spicy, however they do give u salsa which is out of bounds, meaning it's not super hot it was just flavorful!!! The tacos were pretty full n worth the price we paid, the staff was very nice n polite. This place is pretty high up there as far as I'm concerned when it comes to breakfast tacos. If you want to characterize it as fast food with the window side service, it definitely puts all other fast food places to shame. Lolitas is amongst the best in the taco world that I've consumed, with the nice happy owners as well as bomb tacos at a great price. Tacos are large and stuffed generously and delightfully flavorful. I got a chorizo and egg on flour and it was fantastic in every regard. It's so flavorful you won't even the need the salsa in my opinion. My wife got a bacon and potato on corn and that was ok but she really liked it, exclaiming that it was the best bacon she's ever had (it's very thick and crisp to be sure).
