We LOVE Lotita. We first stumbled up it a dozen years ago and visited 4x this trip. It is two blocks off the main road on a side street and not on the tourist radar. The staff is super nice but doesn't speak English nor we Spanish, but we found it easy enough to order what we wanted. The margaritas are the BEST in Cabo. They finish with fresh OJ and Damiana liqueur. Insanely good. Guac made table side. The Menudo was awesome! Excellent Huevos Rancheros, Omelets and fresh fruit plate for breakfast. They have super slow service and they charged my card once then told me it didn't go through even though I showed them on my bank app that it took my money already and wouldn't let me leave until they charged my card again. I had to go and dispute the charge with my bank. DONT GO HERE! read more

Before leaving to the airport decided to stop here for some posole and birria. The set up of the restaurant is nice. It has a bunch of art on the wall and the decorations around the restaurant give it a nice feel. I also like how the service is I had all my needs attended. The food is good. I liked the birria a lot more than the posole so if you come and you have to pick between the two get the birria lol This spot isnt too far from downtown cabo so you can easily walk here. The good reviews took us here. They were right. The staff is friendly, the food is great. The manager said they were testing some new dishes not on the menu. I tried the chicken in red wine (no name yet). It was very tastebud friendly served with vegetables (brocolli and carrots) and mashed potatoes, with french bread. My girlfriend had the beef molcajete from the menu. (enough for two). This was served with onions, cheese squares, cactus, and pineapple in a tomato based chorizo sauce with corn tortillas. I'm met a lady while I was climbing Mount Solmar who's been coming to Cabo for 30 years and told me this is her favorite restaurant. I can see why. It's definitely Off The Beaten Path a few blocks off the main drag. This place is run by Alfredo who lives here with his family. He welcomed us like we were family as well. Such a friendly guy. He makes the best margaritas with fresh squeezed orange and lime juice. Some say these are the best in Cabo. The food is totally authentic. The waitress made guacamole at the table, and everybody thought it was the best guacamole they've ever eaten. I had chili releno and was interested in tasting the chicken Mole. Alfredo was nice enough to give me a half portion of the chicken along with my main course. Both were terrific. My wife had a steak and it was quite good. Certainly not on a par with prime beef from Peter Luger, but extremely tasty and 1/10th the price. Jumbo shrimp and fresh sea bass were also tempting on the menu. This is the best meal I've had between years of trips to Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, Todos Santos and La Paz combined. You MUST go here. I am lucky that my in-laws have a place here and when I come, I have time to explore. We have eaten at Flora Farms, Los Tres Gallos, Casa Don Rodrigo, Rosa Negra and many more... Lolita's tops all of them. It is the most authentic, the most delicious, and the most affordable. Wish I'd found it sooner. The Pozole blew my mind. Make sure you load it up with the cabbage, cilantro, radishes, limes and jalapeños they give you on the side. I asked for the recipe but they thanked me and wouldn't give it. Delicious!!! OMG!!! Amazing food - everything prepared fresh! I'm not eating meat, so asked for a custom meal - best I've had in Cabo! And the margarita was made with all fresh squeezed ingredients and no skimping on the tequila! I want to come back to Cabo just to eat here again!!! I can't say enough about this place, the food was incredible, the decor is great, the staff is incredibly friendly and the prices are great. We came here for breakfast and it was so good we wound up returning for a late lunch another day. For breakfast the chilaquiles and smoothie were amazing. For lunch the chile rellanos and Birria were phenomenal. They also were getting a wood fire going to cook steak and fish for the dinner menu. I'm sure that's incredible as well. If you are in Cabos San Lucas you have to go here for at least one meal (I would recommend visting multiple times). Our waiter said the restaurant has been around for 40 years! read more

This Mexican restaurant was up the street from our hotel, Los Milagros. It was everything we look for in a local Mexican restaurant; delicious authentic food, Mexican music, ambience and great service. We ordered the 'Eggs your way' with meat and potatoes, chilequiles Rojas, refritos, tortillas coffee, orange juice and a side of pancakes to share. Way too much food . . Somehow we managed to nearly finish - it was fresh and SO GOOD! Beautiful tablecloth's adorn the tables with full sized napkins. My fresh squeezed orange juice came in a large margarita glass and our pancakes decorated with fresh fruit and whipped cream! Incredible find! We decided to take a long walk and just by chance we stopped here for drinks. We ordered a margarita and screwdriver. They were both made with fresh, hand squeezed oranges, made to order. Alfredo personally squeezed each orange. We were hesitant at first but my wife said the margarita was her best in Cabo. After talking with Alfredo, we decided to bring the family back for dinner. I am so glad we did. The food was so delicious!! We ordered mole (so good, rich, flavorful and it had a nice spicy kick to it), fresh grilled fish, chile poblano, tortilla soup and beef cheeks. All dishes, except fish, were said to be the best so far on this trip! The beef cheeks were so flavorful and moist. The staff, especially Alfredo, are very gracious and attentive. Staff speak little/no English, but that is a welcome change since Cabo speaks English everywhere...and it lends to the food's authenticity. We may not have time to go back before we leave but their chilaquiles are definitely in our future, even if it has to wait until next year. read more

Came in for lunch, the place was empty, yet the hostess/waitress Alyn, seemed annoyed that we came in and disturbed her from sitting around and was pretty rude. Also, there were ants all over our table. Whatever, I don't rate solely based on service, especially in Mexico. However, after reading the reviews, I expected the food to knock my socks off. I ordered the chicken and egg burritos. Zero flavor. Very disappointing. Topped it off with the salsas on the table, but even that didn't help. I will say that it was fresh at the very least and the orange juice was also freshly squeezed. Wow, what a find in Cabo amongst the overpriced tourist traps and other diversions. This is a real, local restaurant where you are treated like a member of the family, and the food is as fresh and authentic as you can get in BCS. We were welcomed warmly by the owner, who promised us the BEST hand crafted margaritas we would ever have, and he delivered! After drinks, and looking at the menu, and being charmed by the owner and his staff we decided to stay for dinner and we were so glad we did. The ambiance of an open air restaurant with local music in the background, and an open kitchen where your food is prepared and served with sincerity and pride, was a truly wonderful experience for our entire party. What a hidden gem! This is for sure a local's spot! For 50 pesos, you get authentic mexican breakfast! I personally really like the chorizo with the eggs, it comes with orange juice and tortillas also! The portions aren't big for the 50 pesos, but it's so extremely worth it!
