One of the best meals ever (*not exaggerating*). Walking back to our hotel from the beach, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this amazing little restaurant. I cannot remember his name but one of the main hosts/servers/bartenders/staff was super accommodating. He greeted us with open arms and treated us like family. We sat by the fire place and offered menus right away. We ordered the ceviche to start, and the prime rib for our main course (we shared as it was quite big) and a margarita. They also provided some bread and butter to go alongside our meal. ALL the food and drinks were phenomenal! The ceviche tasted so fresh, the meat was so juicy, and the margarita was nice and strong. Service was spectacular as well! It was a little pricey for being in Cabo, but my boyfriend and I highly enjoyed it and want to go back already. It was so worth it! On top of that - since we couldn't finish our margarita (I was too full and it was too strong) they even gave us a to-go cup with a salted rim. We almost walked past this place and I'm so glad we stopped. The food was fantastic! They have an air conditioning room with a view of the wine collection. The sea bass was outstanding - big portion too! I had the seafood pizza and that was so very good. You can pass on the brie cheese, it was ok, but not needed at all. Staff was attentive, not over the top at all, and very knowledgeable about the specials and the menu. They know how to serve you as if you were in an upscale restaurant. Prices are good ($20+), not over the top. Location close to the beach, even better that they weren't ON the beach. We will return there before we leave for home. read more

After many years still my favorite place to dine in Cabo San Lucas. In a lovely part of town just a block or so away from the beach and an easy walk from town and the Medano beach resorts. Food is fabulous ... a mixture of local flavors and the tastes of the wold. Think Thai meets Baja meets Tunisia. The ingredients are fresh, local and organic. The greens grown and picked on the dining patio. There are fancier and flashier restaurants but the service, comfort warmth and cuisine will inspire and set you free. Ask what and how the catch of the day is served ... if you like land the filet or suckling pick are perfect - the new chef is brave to add duck and lamb into mix and are a must try. Duck empanadas and the lamb sausage wrapped in rice paper. First class bar and excellent espresso. ENJOY! read more

What a hidden gem! We were leaving dinner at the office when we found it. The staff was incredibly welcoming and got us cozied up by their fire pit in no time. The sommelier and our server were both very friendly and knowledgable. We got the full Mexican coffee presentation - very impressive. Peacocks is where you go to treat yourself with nouveau Mexican in CSL. They start you out with an amuse bouche du jour and fresh warm focaccia with cherry tomato butter. Every dish was sublime from the daily special octopus, to the freshly made pasta and suckling pig. If anything, a couple dishes could have used a touch more salt, but were otherwise the best meal we had in Cabo. The lemonade with mint was refreshing. The wine list could have been improved, my husband ordered wine which turned out to be a $7 bottle of ménage a trois- which was descent but I hoped for something a little more elegant to pair with such a fine meal. The setting is a lovely courtyard under the stars. Our server Roger was friendly and attentive. I adore Peacocks. read more

The staff at Peacocks far exceeded any expectations that I had(said expectations are from the lovely reviews here). Roger was an amazing host/waiter/valet/entertainer!!! The chef and his team are exceptionally talented and very humble!! I had to the best margarita I've ever had! The salad was amazing! Everyone in my party ordered a different entree,all were out of this world! Homemade breadsticks,focaccia bread,and special bite sized tacos sent over by the chef elevated the experience. Ho-lee-smokes, did I have a great meal at Peacock's with my wife. Well more specifically, two great meals since we came back a second time during our week's stay in Cabo we enjoyed it so much. The staff and sommelier were fantastic and incredibly friendly, and during our second meal everyone actually remembered not only our faces, but our exact orders and even the wine selection from our first meal. It's got to be a record to feel like a "regular" at a place just your second time going. And the nights we went were our second night and our last night, so it's not even like we went back-to-back. The tuna civiche was stellar, as it is a staple in Cabo's restaurants. However what really blew us away were our entrees. I opted for the roasted origanic suckling pig which was absolutely amazing, and my wife had the sea bass which she said one of the best and freshest fish dishes she's had to date. We have been going to Cabo for several years and Peacocks has always been on our list of restaurants to try. We finally made it there on this trip. It was the only place we could get into without a reservation and there was only one other family eating there when we arrived at 7pm (that should have been a sign). The food was good but far from outstanding and we found it to be way over priced for what it was. We ordered my 5 year old a bowl of black beans since she is still a picky eater and they charged us $15 (US) and Since I don't drink we ordered flat water for the table which they got us for $22 (two bottles of flat water)!!! My yellowtail and my husbands steak was nicely prepared. Food presentation and ambiance gets 4.5 starts but over all experience gets a 3. We were disappointed and will not go back. read more

Peacocks is a very atmospheric and casually chic restaurant. I began my mean with a cool drink in the fire pit area. Very relaxing. For dinner I had memorable lobster bisque for my appetizer and beef tenderloin for my entree. My wine was so delicious the manager took me on a tour of the wine cave to show me their extensive collection. He also regaled me with anecdotes of some of the restaurant's more inauspicious evenings. I imagine it is never dull in the restaurant business. I recommend Peacocks without hesitation. read more

This is the 5th the time we have been to this restaurant in 3 years. We come to Cabo for a week in the winter. We have never been disappointed and the food is always superb. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is fabulous. We have varied our choices over time, even bringing in our own fresh caught tuna for them to prepare and that dinner still ranks in my top 3 of all time. Margaritas are so strong and amazing. Make sure you have someone to carry you out if you have more than one. The suckling pig was so good I thought my husband was going to lick the plate clean. We make Peacock's our stop every time we are in Cabo! We brought friends with us this year and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we have ever had (with 3 girls ages 9-13 yrs who also said it was the best food they have ever had). The new chef Guillermo (has been there since November) was so delightful and he came out to say hello...made one of our daughters a special dessert for her 13th birthday. Roger (along with the rest of that staff) attended to our every need. Some of the reviews have said it was too pricey, but you will pay just as much at another places with not nearly the same amazing food. Too expensive!!! They Changed the menu recently and I'm not a fan... I had the suckling pig and it was good, but came with two, tiny, skinny, baby carrots, spit in half, spread across the plate and that's it!!! All for $25 !! My sister had about 2 oz chicken, not moist & delicious, with a smear of pureed potatoes, for about the same cost. DONT go hungry! Too bad, We LOVED this place a few years back. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! On 1/26/2017 My husband and I walked into one of the best meals we have ever had not just in Cabo but anywhere. The atmosphere is so quint the wait staff was attentive but not smothering but perfect. When Chief (Ricardo) came by our table my husband was full of compliments. He had one of the the Specials: The Catch of the day with each bite he took the flavors were even better than the last. Incredible meal from beginning till the end oh and the "Lava Cake" is a must. Best food we had in Cabo while on vacation. When we go back this will be a spot for us to revisit.

My wife, daughter and I have been coming here for many years and it never disappoints! Back in 2012, we were saddened to see the place closed but we were happily surprised to see it re-opened, renovated and better than ever in 2015. The menu is amazing - don't pass up the scallops with pineapple salsa or tuna tataki. I was bored with all the usual tequilla drinks so they worked with me on coming up with a new concoction! The staff are all so kind and attentive. It really is a special place, our absolute favorite in Cabo. We came back a second night and our waiter remembered us, and more importantly, remembered that my daughter loves volleyball. As we finished our meal on our last night in Cabo, he gave my daughter a very sweet talk about "wanting to see her again soon to tell me stories about your volleyball victories for the USA Olympic team". She's only 12 - but it was very, very nice. Love this place and people. read more

Delicious food with interesting preparations, very warm and friendly wait staff, excellent service, cozy couches around the fire for an after dinner drink and we were pleasantly surprised how reasonable the bill was! We enjoyed watching the waiter prepare another guest's Mexican coffee and he was having as much fun preparing it as they were watching him. Not only was the food excellent, it was a very inviting place. It felt like the employees were welcoming us into their home and they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal and our time there. When you step into Peacocks it is like you discovered an oasis in the middle of Cabo. I want to go back there tonight and try the scallops.
