I ordered a slush for pickup from GrubHub. I came a little early and the drink wasn't ready, no big deal. The woman at the cashier was very nice and had great energy. I waited no more than 5 minutes for my drink. The drink was tasty but they forgot to add in the boba I paid for. Also there were huge ice chunks that were not blended. I ended up having to toss a quarter of the drink out. I may try something else another day but unfortunately did not have the best first impression. read more

When they first opened, I would come here every week! But then they started getting new people (or maybe it's the reviews to make it less sweet) BUT ALL THEIR DRINKS TASTE LIKE WATER NOW WTF! Please add sugar! I bought 4 bobas and asked if they could redo 2 (because I got those were the bobas they gave me first, or else I would have asked them to redo all 4 of them) but I asked to redo 2 and they gave it to me back and they still tasted like water. Money wasted I didn't even try telling them cause the girl seemed to have attitude that she had to redo it and I didn't want my day to be ruined so I just threw them away and continued to have a good day. read more

I was so excited for a legit boba place...the drinks are good...except like the other reviews say, why is there so little boba, for a boba place? Isn't the whole point boba? Its like 1/4 the amount of a normal place, and I even ordered to add extra and its still less. Then ofcourse the disappointment of the boba too, like its been sitting there for several days stewing and is supper gelatinous, not the goodness of a chewy boba. Ive tried this place 7 times and I just can not go back. Theres better, ding tea right around the corner or otherwise in San marcos. read more

The drinks are good, but they fill a lot of the cup with ice. When I ask for less ice, they always warn me that it's going to look "a little empty", and it sucks that I'm paying for a certain amount of beverage but not actually getting very close to that amount. The large is an illusion, because it's like 50% ice. read more

Ok so I'm going off of semi-nostalgia as I review this location. Lollicup is one of the few places that gets boba right. And I'm not a connoisseur or anything, but my first experience with any boba drink ever was at a Lollicup in the Bay Area. So I measure boba based on the first time I ordered my first boba order ever, an almond milk tea boba. And of course boba has popped up everywhere in Southern California since. This is the one tried and true place that will not mess up the boba and doesn't over sweeten while actually using brewed tea. Something that isn't the norm with many boba places that use powdered premixes. To me, they're either too machinized like Sharetea or they don't get the boba right at all. Lollicup is the only place I will order an almond tea boba and this location does a good job of keeping the original taste. Yes it depends on your drink maker, when the owner is there, I'm pretty relieved. She knows what an almond milk tea is supposed to taste like. I'm pretty loyal to Lollicup so when I saw this new location I was super pumped. And magically, when I had the same drink 20 years later, it still tasted the same. Tried Boba Tea for the first time here and let me tell you!! The Barista, Angel was super kind and fast taking my order and she made the brown sugar milk tea with boba that was so good! The food is really great too! I tried their sausage and rice bowl (i cant remember what its actually called) but it hit the spot for lunch for sure! 10/10 would come here everyday!! And the lemon pepper wings were so delicious and filled with flavor my mouth is watering thinking about them. This is definitely my new spot. the taro and matcha smoothie tasted like ice even though the color was vibrant it tasted like they blended only water, the powder, and ice. the thai milk tea also did not have much flavor and tasted only like milk. most likely will not come again. read more

Unfortunate. Was stoked to have a lollicup open close by, and the workers are super nice. The grand opening promo was supposed to last until the 14th, but the ended it early. Super bummed. Was looking forward to having Boba on the regular, but if this is how they'll treat their customers, with false advertising just to get some quick exposure, it's hard to say I want to come back. I was so impressed with the service and quality of food that I had to be sure to leave a 5 star review. As a brand new boba business starting in the middle of the pandemic, I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first, but after my experience I will be returning as often as I can. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating and even with the line of people, they continued to push out orders and thank customers. My overall experience was so good I already loved Lollicup despite even trying their boba, but WOW. I was absolutely blown away by how fresh their boba tasted. I have been a long time Kung Fu Tea and Ding Tea customer, but I can say without a doubt that Lollicup will now be the only place I go for boba. If you haven't tried their popcorn chicken, it is a MUST HAVE. I am a 35 minute drive away but it is well worth it! read more

False advertising! I came to this place specifically for their $2 boba special they had ADVERTISED online and when I showed up they mentioned they were no longer honoring that special. I showed them a screenshot of it and they still would not honor it. The male employee, who claimed to be one of the "owners" was very confrontational about the situation. Brown sugar milk tea has no tea in it btw. It's just sugar and milk. The boba tasted like it was from the day before. Texture was gross and no flavor. The mango smoothie was not good either, the yogurt part ruined it. read more

I unfortunately have to second some of the other reviews already posted. I consider myself a bit of a boba tea aficionado and I've had it at quite a few different places across the country. We have an amazing place already in town (Ding Tea) and I thought, is it possible that we could have more than one great place? Well, the answer is no. I ordered the "signature tea" simply because it's easiest to tell the overall quality without too many additions and such, and I must say that it's probably the worst boba tea I have ever had in my life. The tea itself was incredibly watered down to have almost no taste at all, and the boba was both small and definitely on the old side. The price, on the other hand, was even more than Ding Tea which isn't exactly cheap either, so apart from it being the worst boba tea I've had it was also the most expensive. Lastly, my order was fulfilled insanely fast which in this sort of case is usually not a good sign, meaning everything is extremely old. My advice would be to steer clear of this establishment and go the extra 2 blocks to Ding Tea. Being someone who likes to try different places, I thought I'd give this a shot but I doubt I'll ever return. read more

I ordered and waited about 20 minutes for fried tofu. When I got back to the store, they haven't even started cooking it! Made me wait a long time, and they weren't even busy! They barley give you any boba in their drinks, there was probably only 10 in my drink. The boba was also undercooked, you could barley chew it! We liked this place. The drinks were good and not too sweet. We ordered the brown sugar milk tea, the lychee drink and the taro milk tea.

The boba was decent but the beef soup was very bad and was hard to eat. This restaurant is a waste of money and not worth your time.

This place just opened up, so expect it to be a little busy, but that is great thing because the food and drinks are worth the wait! The employees were extremely kind and the service was great. There was a mishap with the $2 promotion, but it seemed the business was just adjusting to the huge amount of people coming in and wanted to make sure that they there were not wait times of about 50+ mins.
