I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

I will never come back to Fashion Valley Mall again…read more I was very disappointed with my experience. The mall itself has great stores, but what stood out to me was the number of homeless individuals throughout property. As a shopper, I did not feel comfortable walking around the mall. My two young kids were very uncomfortable, I have to move them from the food court and sit and eat elsewhere. For a high-end shopping destination, I expected a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment. Management needs to do a better job maintaining the property and ensuring guests feel comfortable while shopping. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.

According to Regency Centers, the property manager for Point Loma Plaza, there is "great daytime…read moretraffic with accessibility from I-5, I-8 and major intersection of Rosecrans St and Midway Dr." Also, a "coastal location with strong anchors and a balanced mix of service-oriented and food merchants." The Midway Dr. Von's is a popular and busy place here at the Plaza--with a Starbucks located inside. The 24-hour Fitness Center is one of the busier ones and Sports Chalet does a brisk business. The mix of tenants is good. There is a Chase Bank in the corner next to a convenient Fed Ex store. The Food Court pad in the middle of the Plaza has lost a few businesses lately. The Greek restaurant is closed and so is the cute little Smoothie store that did not last too long. But the Pizza place and Malt Shop seems to be doing great. Now that there is a full-time security guard roaming around protecting the shopping center, the homeless and vagrants do not hang out so much begging. Plenty of parking, although the spaces are tight. It's always advisable to drive slowly through here because fender benders are common. Particularly troublesome are the spots right in front of Joanne's and Empire Beauty--backing up is tricky when it is busy there. Recently, Spirit just had their seasonal Halloween store open there and that one seemed to do well also. I had to deduct 1 Yelp Star due to lack of bicycle racks. Before my own bike got stolen at my apartment complex in August, I would ride to Point Loma Plaza a lot to shop. But I would have to lock the bike up to the shopping cart storage areas in the parking lot. It would be much better to place some bike racks near the Von's store and 24-Hour Fitness & have that security guard keep a good eye on them.

This is definitely the party district of San Diego!!…read more Day or night, this area is rather lively. Lots of different shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants here. I was here during Halloween and it was packed with people that night. The best place to park here, to me, is in the large parking garage next to Petco Park. The whole area is best seen on foot anyhow. There are also some nice hotels here to choose from. The Convention Center and the Trolley are also here, and the Embarcadero is just a short walk away!! Had a very good time here!!

We absolutely LOVE the Gaslamp Quarter area!!! What's not to love?!?!…read more There's streets of shops and eateries all around. A ton of hotels to choose from. It's also a short walk to the water. This historic neighborhood has a vibrant nightlife. We saw these cool bicycles that you can pay to ride on. They will take you anywhere you want in the area. It's like an Uber, but on a bike! They have it lit up at night. There's new to historic buildings all around. There's rooftop bars and live music. There's plenty of shopping! Big names to boutiques. All different restaurants. High end sit downs, cafes, takeout places, bakeries, ice cream, to coffee shops. I'm probably not giving all the information about this area. There's parking garages. Off street parking is metered. That's hard to find. We parked in Seaport Village. It's a hefty walk, but we just walked and stopped to rest and take pictures!! Other times we just got dropped off!! Overall all, we enjoyed this area for meeting friends and dining. Of course, we loved the older historic buildings.

There is free parking on their lot. Walking through this shop is always amazing and I'm always tempted to buy something whether it's for gifting, for myself or for my pup Fendi, who loves a stroll through the shop. There's usually a one person staffer who's not really helpful, but leaves you alone and doesn't bother you as you browse through many eye catching wide selection of stuff most probably over priced, but at least you didn't need to fly to Mexico Although Bazaar Del Mundo means Bazaar of the World, most of the contents are of Mexican origin, various regions of Mexico, but still within the country of Mexico. So save yourself a trip to Mexico for gifting ideas. Recommend

We were not greeted with a hello. We were greeted with, "we close in 5 minutes". I responded with, "hello, how are you? Yes we are aware you close, in 10 minutes, we will be quick". We went upstairs and we were greeted with, "we close in 3 minutes". Just awful customer service! We took a few seconds to admire the beautiful artwork and left. This was Tuesday, Aug 12th. These two older saleswomen really made our visit sad and we won't be back. I understand, as I work in retail, how it is to have customers coming in right before closing but I would never be so rude. A simple "hello, welcome in, please be aware we will be closing at 6" would have been fine! Not even a smile or a response to my greeting from either of them... Just evil stares. Such a shame, I had a big purchase in mind that I will be buying elsewhere now.
