I have seafood over pasta and it was amazing. It had clams, mussels, scallops, jumbo shrimp and squid. The fish sauce to pasta ratio was just right. The sauce was loaded with flavor. It only cost $27 , I reviewed the same meal 6 years ago, and it was $24. The other dishes at out table look very good and every one enjoyed them. The place was packed and the service was slow. The waitress told us they were down 3 people, so everyone had to do double duty. This is the new normal for eating out today, so I am not going to complain about the service.

We visited this place because we won a gift certificate at a event we went to in the area. I am so glad we won and were able to learn about this place. This place reminded me of an old time Italian restaurant (definitely in a good way). The tables were socially distanced and the service was excellent. For starters we had the Antipasto Freddie which was cold Italian meats and cheeses, served with a few olives and other veggies. For our entrees I had the Vitello Lomanaco which is Veal Scallopine-sautéed with pignoli and almonds, topped with Parma Prosciutto with eggplant rollatini and mozzarella. The meal was simply out of this world. It was so flavorful. Every bite was so good with different textures and tastes. It was the perfect serving not too large nor way too small. My girlfriend had the Chicken Casalinga, served with wild mushrooms, onions and peppers with a kick. She loved her meal. We were so pleased with our meals. Although we were stuffed we had to have dessert, so we tried the tiramisu which was equally delicious. We will definitely come back to try other options. I am so glad we won the raffle which gave us the gift certificate to try this awesome place!!!

Really good pizza, you won't be disappointed. The staff was nice and the sauce really stood out.

Tall colorful urns displaying seasonal flowers flanking the entry and the hostess's smile is always very welcoming. The ambiance is intimate yet bright , either banquet seating along the windows or in the rear dining room, small bar, white tile and exposed brick pizza oven, with the always classic Italian dinner music setting the tone. Service: is always friendly, very accommodating, get your order right every time, and make sure your dining experience is a pleasure. Cuisine: appetizers- white bean and spinach soup is excellent, Lamb lollipops perfectly grilled, broccoli rabe and sausage is very good, the the ruby, red and golden yellow beet and crispy goat cheese over arugula with an orange vinaigrette is beautifully presented bright and fresh. Dinner: should they have the eggplant stack as a special I highly suggest you order. It's almost hard to explain these golden disks of perfectly cooked creamy fried eggplant stuffed with cheese and then stacked, served on their fresh summer Pomodoro witches outstanding. The linguine alle vongole red is full of tender local clams, Flounder francaise with baby spinach over capellini perfectly done with a very bright lemon butter sauce. The Woodfired brick oven pizza was enjoyable but as Pizza goes, we are die hard New Haven style APIZZA (self-proclaimed Lol) aficionados. Last but certainly not least is the classic standout dish for me, and many loyal local diners, the Chicken Parm à la vodka. No. This is not anything like one you've had before. Crispy, hot, tender, perfect thickness chicken Milanese over el dante rigatoni velvety slightly spicy just creamy enough à la vodka sauce topped but not smothered in cheese. Once you've had it, you'll crave it.

We found the menu to be both eclectic & traditional - with a spring in its step. Buffalo Gulf Shrimp were both high quality & home made versus the common pub style. Everything we ate was good. Plenty of friendly servers available on the weekend late afternoon we dined. Tables are close together but the noise level remained moderate in spite of the overwhelming at times music being piped into the bar & dining area. Recommend for weekend lunch as parking might be easier navigate.

We rolled in with a Slice Mob crew, small group, six of us, but honestly, that just meant more time to really dial in on what matters: the pizza. Let's start with the crust, because that's where this place separates itself. * Thin, but not fragile * Crisp on the bottom with a clean snap * Light enough that you don't feel weighed down after a few slices * And just enough chew to remind you this dough was treated right You get that subtle char, nothing overdone, nothing bitter, just enough to bring out that deep, slightly smoky flavor that good apizza lives on. The undercarriage holds up. No flop, no soggy middle. You can fold it, but you don't have to. Now... the star of the show for me: White broccoli rabe and sausage. This is one of those combinations that can go sideways fast if it's not balanced right. Too bitter, it's harsh. Too much sausage, it gets heavy. Too much cheese, it turns into a mess. They nailed it. * The broccoli rabe brings that clean, slightly sharp bitterness * The sausage delivers a rich, savory backbone with just the right amount of fat * The cheese smooths everything out into this creamy layer without drowning the pie * And there's a light touch of garlic that sits in the background and ties it all together Every bite hits a different note, but it all works as one. That's not easy to pull off. And while that was my go-to, the rest of the table wasn't quiet about their picks either. We had a mix, reds, whites, even a seafood pie, and across the board the feedback was the same: this place knows what it's doing. No weak links. No throwaway pies. But here's the part that really sticks with you... It's not just the food. It's the feel. Fran and Carmine run this place like you're walking into their home. No attitude, no rush, no "turn the table." Just genuine hospitality that you don't see enough of anymore. You come in for pizza... you leave feeling like you found a spot you'll keep coming back to. Bottom line: Da'Carmines isn't chasing hype. They're just making really good pizza... and letting that do the talking. And honestly? That's exactly how it should be. Slice Mob approved. Peace through pizza.
