Nice selection of beer. Can't speak to the wine. Premium liquors seemed limited based on just looking. I've had pizza to go before and it's pretty good. Tonight I sat at the bar and ordered. Had the buffalo chicken sub. It was pretty good with blue cheese crumbles, not just blue cheese dressing. The side order of fries was huge. They offer Heinz ketchup which is nice vs some food service brand. Wish it had been the Heinz Simply Ketchup without HFCS. But I'm nit-picking. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall, a good experience. TVs at the bar usually feature sports but just news when I was there. read more

The service here is terrible, I ordered a pizza for pickup and they said it was gonna be 30 mins, here I am an hour and a half later still waiting and the worst part is this isn't the first time they have done this, the lady over the phone is a moron that can't understand basic English, they prioritize the people sitting or at the bar rather then people trying to get their food and leave, the whole place is ran by idiots and to top all that the food is just mid, just shut down at this point you guys suck read more

True thin crust Neopolitan Apizza properly done with just the right amount of char. Prompt and delicious.

Some serious pizza here folks. It ain't cheap, but it is really good. The workers here are all pleasant and it's kept really clean. If you like the thin crust pizza, you'll love it. Thin crust but not overly thin .. If you have been to New Haven, you'll know exactly what this pizza is like. The sauce is really good as are the toppings. Food is VERY fresh. read more

Went to a cousins dinner a few weeks back. They had unlimited pizza and soft drinks. Pizza was amazing, and we had a private room to enjoy it in. Whenever the pizza was getting low, the amazing waitress always asked if we wanted anything in particular and quickly got it out to us. read more

Waitress was nice and helpful. Tables were clean and room was bright. Mac & cheese bites were sooo good my son got an extra order to go. He also had a pizza that was thin and crispy the way our family likes it. Fettuccine Alfredo was delicious. Harvest salad with chicken, great portion and fresh. Definitely will be back. read more

Yesterday was my first and last time ordering pizza from Capone's. My pizza was very badly burnt. See photos. Instead of putting a burnt pizza in a box and handing it to me, I would have greatly preferred to hear someone say, "we accidentally over cooked your pizza, so you need to wait - we are making you another." I would have been impressed by such a comment. When I called to complain the young female I spoke with was very polite and courteous. She offered to do it over again which I declined due to the time involved. She ultimately offered me a 2 week credit. An immediate refund to my credit card would have been preferred. I will not be going back. The few parts of the pizza that were edible were ok, but they were followed by an immediate after taste of charcoal. Most of the pizza was discarded. read more

Highly recommend Capones we went two nights in a row first night we ordered the Pizza the margarita pizza and a white pizza. Absolutely excellent great taste great crust homemade sauce. staff was friendly and very attentive and it was a busy Saturday Sunday night try the eggplant roll a teeny thinly sliced delicate and just fantastic melts in your mouth. Ordered two salads of cob and a meatball both excellent homemade meatballs and sauce are amazing. Will definitely return. read more

Ordered their white pizza with broccoli and onion. Onions were fresh and broccoli was as well but aside from that there was zero flavor. No seasonings whatsoever. Bland crust as well. Thin and crisp but cardboard taste. I would not get pizza here again. read more

Been wanting to hit up Capone's on our epic pizza tour of Branford/East Haven area. Capones in Branford is closed on Sundays so we decided to order from the N Branford location. My BF geeked out when he saw fried dough fingers on the appetizer menu. We got an order of those and some mozzarella sticks. The fried dough fingers were good and we ate some on the ride back home. The mozz sticks were typical frozen food service, so we weren't too disappointed because we were expected as such. My BF had his usual small cheese and I had a small pepperoni. Pizza was good! Very thin crust! Toppings weren't as plentiful as some other area establishments but still very decent. read more

One of the best additions in the area in recent years, this Capone's has been our go-to in North Branford for a long time. And why not? The pizza is thin, crispy and delicious, the menu is highly varied, the bar is well-stocked and the place is just a lot of fun. From the crazy good grilled chicken salad to the awesome steak tips to of course any pie you order, the food is first class, the service always friendly, the Foxon Park and beer always fresh and cold. Capone's just opened up this week. It's truly delicious. I had the pleasure of meeting Nick when I stopped in earlier in the day yesterday to grab a menu to take home. The inside is super spacious and definitely has a sleek, modern black and silver sports bar type of vibe. The dining room area is a great size to have a party in and the bar is lit up and sophisticated. Their full liquor permit should be in within the next two weeks. Last night we placed an order over the phone and my husband went to pick it up. We had a medium pizza with half eggplant and half bacon. My eggplant half, the eggplant tasted nice and fresh, I didn't try my husband's side, but he thought it was great. Overall, the pizza is the best in this area of North Branford/Route 80. We also split a Chicken Club sub. The sub bread was not toasted and to be perfectly honest, we enjoyed that it wasn't like most places would have. It made it so much easier to eat than other places where the sub ends up being as hard as a rock due to their toasting. Their appetizer section of the menu is diesel. I posted pics of their menu, check it out. They have quite the variety and you basically want to try everything. We had all we could do last night to control ourselves from ordering a third item...for two people. Next time we go back on our diets, we will try all of the salads. 3.75 stars but promising, will update when we go back. I was a big fan of Louis' Slice which was in the same space and when I saw Capone's was opening got excited because I was driving all the way to Marco's from North Guilford for a good New Haven style pie. Well I am hopeful Capone will become our family go to! Last week we tried the sausage pizza and a margarita pie. Crust was good (was slightly underdone but it was not soggy) sauce had great flavor and tasted fresh not heavy. Sausage on the pie was delish. The fresh tomato, basil & garlic pizza was perfect - ripe summer tomatoes enough garlic & cheese. Pricing was reasonable compared to some other places around here. My husband picked it up (it was ready exactly when they said it would be) and saw that they will have a proper bar opening onsite which would be awesome. Sometimes when you are from north Guilford you don't want to go downtown, or to Daltons or to Time Out Tavern when you want to meet up for a cocktail. We'll be back - hopeful this will become our neighborhood pizza place! read more

Tried to give Capone's a try as they offer a gluten free crust option (needed for a gluten free allergy). Didn't have the gluten free crust available so went elsewhere with my order. Missed out on a $100 order. Most likely won't give it another try. Don't have the time to chase down and check with a restaurant if they have ingredients needed for the items listed on their menu. read more

This is a sit down restaurant, we got a pizza and the manicotti pasta. I would the food was neither great but not bad. Staff was friendly and helpful but kitchen was getting slammed so they were far behind. We were last dining party to leave and I'd say the food was only somewhat. Consistently delicious! We have tried a few of the pizzas and always love just plain cheese, the Capone special and the mashed potato is a huge hit. They season their potatoes so there is a ton of flavor. We have also tried their vodka sauce pasta and were really impressed. The staff is always very friendly and polite as well. read more

I can buy better tasting mozzarella sticks at the grocery store which is where these are from. Buffalo chicken pizza is not great. I ate there before and had the buffalo chicken wrap which also sucked but thought I'd try one more time since they are nearby. But never again. This location has hosted a few pizza places over the years and this one is truly the best of the bunch. Grew up down the street and have tried a dozen different pizza places in the Branford/North Branford, Guilford and Madison area. Pizza nails the "New Haven style" to the T. Crust is perfect and the cheese/toppings are surely going to be crave worthy. Looks like I'll be visiting my parents more often and requesting Capone's pizza every time. Highly recommended for sure. Found this place after having to drive an hour to my sons soccer practice in North Branford. This place has become a weekly stop on the way home! All I have to say is PIZZA FRIES! Yes! A combo of fries and tater tots covered with bacon, pepperoni and cheese! I recommend asking for a side of marina with them, sooo good! The other amazing thing on this menu is the number of Broccoli Rabe dishes available. Not many pizza places even offer it, this place specializes in it! First time we got the broccoli rabe and sausage pizza, (and pizza fries, duh) pizza was good, thinner crust and crunchy but it's the rabe that was the star, seasoned well and not bitter, cooked to a perfect texture! Pictured is the Rabe Bowl, delicious and juicy. Not pictured was the chicken wings we ordered, pretty good, and the Rabe and sausage panini my wife got. Several other appetizers I wanted to try. We have been twice so far, Italian Empanadas next time. Friday night soccer is now Capones night. Only thing that was not so great was the staff ability to keep their masks on while in the open kitchen where the oven is and the bar area. I get it, it's a bummer that they have to work in masks but below the nose or on the chin, might as well not have it on. Waitresses were friendly and masked at the tables so all good! I would go back and try this again. The pizza itself was good, but I wouldn't reorder the bbq chicken pizza I had last time, although the chicken was tasty, there wasn't enough chicken and not enough bbq sauce. The sauce was like a bbq drizzle across the pie. read more
