Can't believe I never left a review for Pacileo's. Lived in Branford for 2.5yrs & this place was amazing. I lived literally half a mile from Pacileo's. Amazing pizza. Amazing calzone Amazing calamari. Very great takeout. I went here at least once a month. Top notch pizza!!! My favorite in the area.

Solid spot in a convenient location near the water. They made slices available for an individual (so I didn't have to order the whole pie). It was also fresh right out of the oven. Prices were reasonable, staff was nice, and parking was ample. Hope you like cheese, because the slices were loaded with it. I'd certainly grab a slice here again if I'm in the area.

Our normal place was closed which gave us an opportunity to try somewhere else. If could give less than a star, I would. $40 for a large pepperoni pizza, an order of Calamari, and a garlic bread is expensive. However, if it's well done, I wouldn't care. This wasn't. Half an inch of dry flour caked on the bottom of the pizza, which was basically the only crust there. Over oily. I choked down a piece, and that was about it. Calamari was ordered with cherry peppers (NY style), no cherry peppers when I got it home. Calamari wasn't well breaded, was soggy (some to be expected but this was awful), overly rubbery, too smelly (Calamari should have a seafood smell but this was borderline rancid smelling), and it was inedible. Garlic bread with cheese was ok. Wasnt cut except lengthwise, which makes one basically rip it, but.... Nothing to write home about, but I guess it's borderline impossible to screw up. Never ever again will I go here or the north branford location. Horrible and inedible. Don't go here.

56 years and finally! The best wings ever.

Our go to local spot. Best local place in the suburbs ever. The wings were fried to perfection. The quality of the chicken perfect. The sauce was perfect Buffalo style. So now that I can confirm the food is awesome from their specials to their pizza, now I can be rest assured I don't have to leave town for great wings!

Chicken florentine minus the spinach with broccoli instead. Three nice size pieces of chicken.

Reasonably priced, great portion sizes, yummy and delicious! Very clean and modern atmosphere. There was a large birthday party or some celebration here which made it very loud. Service was great too! Definitely will come again. Try the original one on Harbor St in Branford too.. Great for pizza or dinner.... Great place for families or large groups. Casual dining. Plenty of parking.

Let me start with the fact that my Wife and I were big fans of Abates. I loved their pizza and had many good meals there. We were devistates when they closed. Flash forward...... Someone told my wife that Pacileos had just opened. We thought we would try the port of fair. We got a large mushroom pizza and were not let down. Although nit as good as Pepes in new haven it wasnt bad. All in all reasonable price. We will be back

I have to start by saying that I have always liked Pacileo's Pizza and other items on the menu and that the staff are friendly. That being said, I purchased this afternoon a to-go order, 1 large Mozzarella Pizza, 1 Small Plain w/ grated cheese and 1 Large Giant Salad that came with apple slices, raisins and walnuts. The total came to $43.15 with the salad costing $13...yes $13! When I arrived home I thought that they gave me a small salad instead of the Large Giant Salad and called them up to ask...the woman was very nice but stated No, that was the large salad you picked up. I was amazed. I did tell her that I was disappointed and she did say "I apologize" several times and was polite, but in the end the salad weighed less than 7 oz and couldn't imagine that would be defined as a large. I know things have gone up but there is a breaking point. It was just too expensive for what we received and sadly won't be going back..the food is good but the value was not.

This is a small white clam. Half with mozzarella. Terrible.

After growing up in East Haven, Wallace relocated to the Los Angeles area for a change of pace to live with friends. Over the years there, he held jobs in security management and sales, worked for the fast-casual chain MOD Pizza and pursued a stand-up comedy career in Los Angeles. Taylor became friends with Wallace in college. He visited Wallace often before deciding to relocate to L.A. himself. When COVID hit, Wallace began experimenting with New Haven-style pies in his home kitchen. He and Taylor began to do a series of pizza pop-ups. Wallace named his pizzeria "Ozzy's" after his pet chihuahua. Before long, the business took off. A second location opened at East Rock Market in New Haven (CT) in August 2024. A new flagship location opened in North Hollywood in October 2024, the Glendale location relocated in October 2025, and a delivery kitchen opened in Beverly Hills in January 2026. My son and I recently had lunch at Ozzy's New Haven outpost at East Rock Market. I had heard a lot of great things about them since they opened. This location is run by co-owner Craig Taylor while Wallace runs things on the West Coast. After looking over the menu, my son and I decided to order and share "The Ozzarita" (fresh mozzarella made locally from Liuzzi, fresh basil, and housemade red sauce) and "The Mikey Rabbit" (housemade garlic ricotta cream sauce, freshly ground Italian sausage, baby spinach, pecorino, and mozzarella). Holy cow! These pies were excellent! Crispy crust with the perfect amount of New Haven char, excellent sauces, and very fresh tasting toppings! I washed everything down with some delicious Foxon Park Birch Beer. My son and I also had a nice time chatting with head chef and pizzaiolo Louis Matteo, who was very friendly. It was really cool watching him make the pies and then slide them in the rotating oven. I give Ozzy's my seal of approval! I'll definitely be back!

The pie came out piping hot with just the right amount of char and a thin crispy crust. The tomato sauce was tart and fresh tasting. Overall a solid New Haven style pizza but the flavor could have been slightly more intense for me. Not quite sure what was missing. I definitely want to try other pizzas there when I'm passing through. It's located in a brand new and slightly sterile food court but at least it was cool and clean in there. You pay at the counter and they bring you your pizza.

Well the reputation of Sally's initially came from recommendations from acquaintances and uber driver. So I figured: Sally's must truly be the best pizza in New Haven the pizzz capital of USA (well that's what the signage at New Haven Tweed airport says!) So on a Monday mid-afternoon (July 13 2026) I made sure I put my Teams offline and drove to New Haven from Milford. Traffic on 95 but that's I guess typical. This doesn't happen in VA Beach where am visiting from; but not a novice in dealing with I-95 traffic since I've lived in Northern VA for 36 years. Anyway why am I describing all this? Is Sally's truly worth the hype, long lines and oh btw for pickup/delivery you get in line to order, and have to come back 45 minutes to pick up your order!?? The notable thing is that service is a 4 for takeout. You have to wait a few minutes for the staff who takes orders to be at his station to take the order. He disappears for minutes. But ordering was quick and when they tell you ready gif pickup by 4:15pm, it was ready (but of course got to get in line for that too!) The answer is: only if you don't want to drive to NY to get really great pizza. I ordered the garden (signature) pizza. It looked like a garden alright: vibrant green not overload of red pizza sauce or overly sprinkled cheese. The crust was pretty thin (way I like it) but not as thin as real pizza in Italy. The toppings were fresh. But it was on the bland unseasoned side. I'd give the pizza a 3.
