I ate at Lon Sen for the first time today at lunch with friends who eat there weekly. I have eaten at many Chinese restaurants cross the USA from Miami to NYC --From Raleigh to Los Angeles. Lon Sen is the worst. None of the food is prepared in house. All of it is out of a can including the fish and fruit. The staff is very friendly and it is a clean restaurant. read more

My family ate here today and we were treated to lunch by my Dad. When we arrived, my wife took the kids to the restroom to wash their hands and she said as soon as she opened the door, it smelled of Clorox and she knew that my parents made a good decision! The food was fresh and non greasy, the staff was accommodating but not overbearing, and the restaurant still provides gloves at the buffet to prioritize infection prevention! Food was drier than having cotton mouth with salt. Meat options were limited and dry. Just not worth it overall.

First off, it would be nice if they would remodel the inside!! I'm pretty sure it's been the same since 1998. Second the food selection was not that great and it all seemed to be frozen product and not fresh. Pleasantly surprised! Pretty good. It's take out only right now. There's a buffet that is covered and they serve it to you. You can get as much or as little of anything. It goes by weight. I got the shrimp and a Mongolian pork and the string beans and rice for $5.54. I would definitely go back. I'm not sure if you can call ahead and order something off the menu or it's only what's on the buffet. I noticed the bad reviews were from over two years ago. Too hot in this restaurant, thermostat said 82. The owner just said sorry AC not working very good. In the winter it's too cold. Owner say the same, it not working real good. I think they're just keeping the bills low. Won't be coming back, it not working for me. read more

The buffet here is good. The chicken wings and General Tso Chicken were both really good. We enjoyed most everything we got. The server was nice. I mean you have to take it for what it is, it's a reasonably priced buffet with good food. If you are looking for 5 star dining then maybe you would be dissatisfied. We will be back. read more

Let start off by saying this place was hot inside already 95 degree out side . Lunch buffet is when i took my family and buffet didnt get refilled so there were alot of pans empty and i like eating the noodles like spaghetti and what they had there was old and dryed out. Asked if they were gonna fill it up and they said no. Got no refills. The bathroom was dirty and sticky something all over rhe door. I've been a regular of Lon Sen for many, many years. It's always been my favorite. I will most likely eat here again. The food is usually good and the Chinese mustard is made there and to die for. It's actually my favorite thing about this restaurant. Today I am giving a low rating because the food I got on takeout a few nights ago is still sitting in my fridge and I haven't wanted to finish it (unusual for me). The reason is that when I brought it in to eat the fried rice was dry and flavorless, the beef in the entree was soft to the point of mushy and flavorless. I actually wondered if it had been soaked in water for some sad reason. The egg roll, not quite done. Now, as I said, this hasn't been my past experience here, so I'm hoping it was a very busy night and due to that, I just got some mediocre food. I will go back at least one more time, though I doubt I will order a beef or even a pork dinner from here. read more

Think Golden Corral with a little Chinese food thrown in. They had everything... fries, pizza, chicken nuggets, wings, donuts and chocolate pudding. A bit of fried rice and some heavy fried dishes. They place was clean and full. There were many families eating there and something for everyone. But none of it any good. I will not be back. This Chinese restaurant is a great value ($7.99 for the buffet) and they have a wide variety of food to select from. Their curried shrimp and chicken is my personal favorite and their green beans are delicious. They have extras on Sundays like salmon and mussels. The meal is topped off with delicious ice cream-the moose tracks one is my favorite. I wish we had some good Chinese buffets where I live! read more

I should begin by saying that I hate buffets. One must choose between overeating and overpaying, neither an attractive choice in my book. As a former city dweller, I need a fix of Chinese food from time to time, and the choices in this area are limited, so I eat at Lon Sen about once a month. It's a clean place, the staff is pleasant, and the price of overeating is fair. I'm quite fond of the eggdrop soup, and think that the chicken wings are the very best for miles around -- very hot and crispy but, alas, no Buffalo sauce. On the negative side, the white rice is often dry. I'll keep coming back, and will try (as I do at Walmart) to ignore the enormous size of the people around me. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the vast choices of Asian and American cuisine's. The buffet was well stocked with a wide variety of the eye-pleasing, temperature appropriate, desirable selections. Fresh fruits and desserts were a bonus! I am not usually a big fan of buffet's as I am a very fincky eater, but after my experience at Lon Sen I will definitely be less resistant the next time I am presented with an Asian buffet dining opportunity. read more
