I have been going to this London Drugs for years. In the past year the staff has changed and quite frankly the service is beyond bad. Staff are rude and they follow you around the store and they are quit blazzen about it. I recently went to the store to buy some specific things I am a senior so I walk very slowly. After a while of walling up and down the rows of things I was followed around by two staff members. Every time I went down a different row there was the same woman following close behind. For the past year when giving the cashier at this store my phone number to collect points I was always told I have no points to cash in. This is more than a year of this. Yesterday, I went to the London Drugs on Granville street and after giving the cashier my phone number I was told I had a $20.00 voucher. It takes a long time to get $20.00. Why was I told by the cashiers at the Davie street store I had no points stalked up. Do better London Drugs word spreads quickly through the west end. read more

In this high population neighborhood of the West End retail stuff tends to be expensive and shopping for basic items can be a challenge beyond the Dollar Store realm. For instance, where are you going to find a vacuum cleaner or pots and pans? At London Drugs you can find a lot of useful things for your household, even some well priced groceries. The store is quite large and has all the usual drug store merchandise plus an appliance section, and an electronic section. Check their specials for some good deals. I go to this London drugs a lot and as one would expect, it's pretty much the same as all the others. It's smaller than some of the larger stores and therefore has less selection, but that's typical of downtown Vancouver. My one gripe about this place is that it's so tough to walk through the aisles. They are narrow even after their recent renovation, and they are always stacked full with junk! It's like playing Frogger trying to get through there. Not my favourite shopping experience. read more

I like this London Drugs. It's one of the old style ones with the shelves stocked up and close together to maximize retail sales. But this is how it used to be, which is why I like it. Over the years I have bought computer parts, hard drives, SD cards, chocolate, toothpaste, cough candies and a bunch of random stuff here. They have a large selection of appliances and vacuum cleaners and they even have a post office! And the best part is that they have a price match guarantee! This really helps if you are looking for out of stock computer parts from Computer parts chains or Big Box stores. If those places have sold out, London Drugs probably still has it and they will most likely match the price. London Drugs is a hidden gem that way. Other than that, there is a post office here. I have always found the staff helpful when looking for stuff and the sales are pretty good here. They also have a wonderful rewards program where they give you $5 to spend on the store on your birthday! read more

I am new to the area so am still learning all the go to places. I received my weekly LD flyer and plotted my Boxing Day shopping spree. I went through page by page and circled all the items. Then, I took my car over and got ready to spend, spend, spend! Only problem.....they did not have everything in the flyer. Grrrrr...I HATE that. So I say "well, which location WOULD have everything in the flyer?" They suggest the W. Broadway location. So I ask for the address. No one has it. After a few exchanges through their sophisticated ear bud communication system, fnally someone comes up with it. i plug it into the GPS and off I went. It was the wrong address. However I did end up finding it So this is a small LD with an empty parking lot on Boxing Day. That should been my first clue. Fair warning, its a "small" store. read more

I came to London Drugs after failed attempts to find Polysporin pink eye drops at Shoppers and Safeway on Davie. I went to the eye drop section and didn't see it anywhere. I asked as maybe they keep it in another section. There were 2 associates putting out stock nearby and one of them came to help me look. I just looked up and saw it on the highest shelf. Not sure why they put it there instead of on the lower shelf below eye level where the other products are. I thanked her and went on my way to pay. There were 2 lines with people lined up, but then the other associate doing stock opened up. I asked her if there was a washroom in the store so I could put in the drops. She said yes, near the back where I found the drops. I went back there and she came running back to open the washroom with her key, She left the cash area to do this for me so great service (there was no one behind me in line to pay). The washroom was clean so that was a bonus. Happy they had the product I needed and exceptional service too. read more

This is more a comment about London Drugs in general rather than this location. I got a $10 off coupon in the mail if I were to spend $50 in store. I put it in my bag thinking I'd use it the next time I was in the store. Of course, when I tried to redeem it the staff person said it had expired. I ended up buying more than I needed to at that time and no discount. I don't understand why when I have the London Drugs app and the London Drugs card in my wallet app, why am I getting things from London Drugs by snail mail and by email that aren't connected to the card? Coupons seem so 1950's and after this experience I won't take any coupon seriously from London Drugs. I'd rather be valued as a customer with an easy to understand tangible benefit that doesn't easily expire than waste mental energy where it's not worth it. It feels like London Drugs is stuck in the past. This experience has left a very foul taste in my mouth and I'm likely to go to Shoppers or elsewhere for my needs instead. read more

This London Drugs location is great! I was looking through their flyer that arrived in the mail and was astounded by the range of products available for sale - London Drugs is seriously a one stop shop for almost everything, as long as you're not looking for fresh fruits and vegetables. Along with being a pharmacy, there are household goods, small appliances, stationery, cards, cosmetics, canned and bottled foods, and a fully stocked electronics department, as in computers, cell phones, mp3 players, printers...pretty much everything. I saw a $50 microwave ($20 off) that I wanted to purchase, so I came to this location. Everyone who I spoke to was so friendly and helpful. I couldn't find the microwave with all of the other microwaves on the sales floor so I showed the flyer to the lady in electronics and she found a bunch of them in the back. It turned out that the microwave wasn't on sale until the next day (my fault, I didn't read the "valid" dates on the flyer), so she suggested that if I needed it right away to just purchase it at the regular price and come back to get a refund another day. Today I went back to get my $20 refund and it was completely painless. The transaction was completed quickly and without any hassle, and as usual, everyone was so cheerful and eager to help. I would not hesitate to come to London Drugs again if I see a good deal in their flyer. The regular prices in store are not really anything special, but then again, it's a drug store, not Walmart. read more

Really friendly staff! I was shopping here when I saw an elderly woman, riding one of those motor-carts, approach one of the tech associates (His nametag said "Jakob"). She asked him for help with sending an email to the City of Vancouver on the computer she bought from LD, because she presumedly didn't know how to send emails. It's not normally a busy location, so it's pretty quiet most of the time. It keeps me a sane, happy shopper. If you are looking for a place to get 35mm film developed for a cheap price, this is the place to go! Now I shall go through the pros and cons of this store. Im basing this not for the actual store, just for the photo lab. What I liked is that it took just 1hr to develop a ilford 400 B/W 36 exposures, which really shocked me. They also had great prices. It was about $9 for the roll of film. What I didn't like was the way the film was handled. It was quite repulsive on how they just threw my roll of film around. The final result of the film. Was actually quite good for the place and price! They gave me the standard option of matte or glossy finish. I chose matte. In the end I was happy with what they did. I would recommend this to any photographer that wants a quick fix for their needs! read more

I cannot believe what I just experienced at this London Drugs only moments ago. At no time should a customer walk out of a store feeling so disgusted by their service, they feel the need to write 1 star reviews online. Holy moly! I have NEVER encountered such a prudish, rude and sarcastic cashier in my life. First, she snobbishly questions if we cut in front of another woman in line, then when we say we did NOT and she did not need to doubt us, she remarks we could we could "go back to another line if we wanted to." After this comment, I look at her and ask her what is wrong and if she is the manager, and she says "No, but feel free to call customer service if you want." When I asked her name so I could discuss her behaviour with the manager she replies "Julie, Sarah, George, whatever you want." Without a clear answer, I then asked the neighbouring cashier her name, who clearly was afraid of her coworker and responds "I don't know her." London Drugs, perhaps your staff needs to up their game in the hiring department. I can safely say that if it were not for if the very cooperative manger (Jason D), I would not be returning to this store. I'm a frequent shopper at this location, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Great sales and prices. Back in December I did some Christmas shopping and bought a box of patches to quit smoking. I finished the box of patches and went to another pharmacy to buy another. The pharmacist advised me that they are free under the provincial smoking cessation program. I called London Drugs on Davie and spoke with the manager and advised him of this. Without questions, he gave me a full refund, even though I had used the patches. That's going above and beyond. It's big so it can house a lot of traffic and the departments are wider, however, being that it's in a high traffic area I can't always find what I am looking for. Forgot your umbrella...don't worry it's literally steps away from the train station and the umbrella sales wrack is right by the cashier. $$$$ for an umbrella, however, at least your minimal travel and check out time will be dry one. Seeing how the umbrella prices are not as competitive you're wallet will also be dry . The advantage to this one over the Robson location one is that their pharmacy has more extensive range of products, especially in the band-aid and first aid department. Being naturally clumsy I am always looking for specific items to cater to my injuries. Staff are always patient since they cater to a wide demographic being more central. read more

I am sorry but some staff at London drugs is very rude. Its my second time they acted rudely. Last time I went to pick up a parcel and since I moved new to Canada asked the guy I didn't get a call or notice for delivery attempt. He said "I don't know I don't work in Canada Post". And today I went to ask about a large size print, but the staff at photolab ignored me (they were 3 of them). When i asked about the price they said go to website and check. When i asked about can I see sample of photo paper, they said go to that kiosk and check and kept busy in arranging some boxes etc. read more

Very cool place - we were helping a friend to purchase a toaster oven, and we would never have guessed that a drugstore would be the best place to find one! Nice and unexpected range of products, and the prices on over-the-counter medications and toiletries are better than at the other drugstores we have seen during our trip here. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor cosmetics department service. Everything else is awesome. Like the tech department and photo lab peeps, great people. The post office I sometimes use consists of some sweet people, and the general cashiers are great but the makeup dpt. is a bit... meh. The ladies there don't do anything. They know very little about the makeup being sold and can never help me locate what I need. I often need to spend 15-20 mins more just trying to find something they didn't know where to locate for me. read more
