    The bocce courts.

Seven of us have been meeting one morning a week at 8AM at a park. It's time to bring coffee, your own chairs, water, and plenty of good conversation. Last week, we met at the Lone Mountain Regional Park. I watched the park as it was laid out and then built, but this was the first time I came here. I was impressed by the variety of things to do--bocce, tennis, playground apparatus for kids, walkways for getting exercise, and picnic areas. Since it was a cold morning, we spread out in the warm sunlight at social distancing protocol. The park is clean and very well maintained. While I have several parks near me, this was a great place to go to be with friends for an hour and a half. Adjacent to Lone Mountain Road and the 215, it's an easy off and back on spot.

Lone Mountain Regional Park has a plethora of walking/riding paths, all of which are very nicely maintained.  Tip: Within you'll find areas that have been specially designated for use by equestrians, people on foot, and/or dogs. Because there are quite a number of hikes herein that are quite challenging, Lone Mountain is a great place to visit either by yourself, with friends, and/or with family.  I strongly suggest that if you find any of their resources appealing, you take the time to stop by and check the park out :-)

I was invited for a picnic on a Saturday evening. I have never been to Lone Mountain Regional Park but I've passed it quite a few times. Let's just say the view from this park was so breathtaking. It was nice to be able to see the city from such a peaceful area. It doesn't make you feel like your caught up in the fast life of Las Vegas. There was so much parking available and you can tell that this park is very well kept. I'm keeping this review very short and simple. But needless to say, I would definitely recommend this park whether you want to go for a job, get a nice view of the Las Vegas Valley, or have a nice bbq or picnic with family and friends.

Gorgeous wide spread out park with large grass fields on the hill and an extensive playground. No water park but the water sprinklers were perfect.lots of basketball fields and tennis courts picnic tables all over and a parking lot stretched over the side

I organized a BBQ party here yesterday. They have 6 very clean picnic pavilions. We were able to snag one of the Areas C-G - the limit is 50 people in each, 1 charcoal BBQ, 2 tables, bench seating around pavilion, but no electricity. All areas are covered. You can either reserve it or first come first serve. Area H - the limit is 75 people. There are 4 large charcoal BBQ's, 8 tables, 4 trash cans, and no electricity area covered.   The walking trails, playgrounds, horse shoes, Tennis, Basketball, Bocce Ball courts, and bathrooms are well maintained. I believe it was built 5 years ago. The playground has no swings. There are 2 bathrooms and the parking can be busy during holidays and weekends. You can hike up Lone mountain as well for 360° view of Vegas.

I'm new to hiking & I hike this mountain frequently with a group. It doesn't look like much, but if you go straight up the face of the mountain, it's a challenging climb. It always kicks my ass & did so once again. One day, I will conquer it without feeling defeated. It's a great hike to do if your short on time. It takes about 2 hrs if you climb at a moderate pace.

My daughter and I went walking on the walking paths today with our dog. Dog Friendly, Yes! There is a park that is connect to this one which is located off of Lone a Mountain Road. The other park is about .7 miles down a walking path. That little park had a play ground and riding arena and training pens and more lawns and pavilions with BBQs. Such a pretty area. A well maintained park and the views of the Las Vegas City are breathtaking. Next time we are going to hike to the top of Lone Mountain. I think fall would be a great time to do this hike. The whole loop with the mountain top is 3.7 miles. Easy hike! Bring water. We were here today May 20, 2020 and covid-19 restrictions meant the bathrooms were closed.

If you employ Siri to get you here, she will direct you to the wrong side of the park. When you see the park, you are there. This park has more than just a walking path & playgrounds! There are features that you can learn from at any age! You can play bocce, tennis, basketball, learn math, geography, history and even conquer the little climbing wall! We walked for roughly 2.5 miles and didn't have to double back. I think we only covered about 1/4 of the possible route. This park is worth a drive.

We will make the drive to come here. I mean, any park surrounding Lone Mountain is my favorite. I really love this area. I love the view, the cleanliness, the openness, and elevation. It is a park which offers a bit of everything for everyone. You can picnic beneath a gazebo or on the grass, and did I mention the view?! Lol. The only thing I would complain about is the lighting at the playground, and that the playground itself can get a little boring in comparison to the other playground equipment nearby. There are NO SWINGS. As a parent to 4 boys, they dont notice or care. Though, i have met many parents who do. But I mean still...it does it's job. Basketball courts are nearby so in this household, it satisfies everyone's desire. There are two bathrooms one by the playground and one by the basketball courts. If there are parties/bbqs happening, parking can be pretty scarce. However, it isn't something to instill fear or to be deterred. Lol. Enjoy!

Construction on this brand new park on Lone Mountain just off the 215 was completed surprisingly fast. Disappointingly, it has no swings, so it doesn't truly qualify as a playground at all. If you are looking for tennis courts, basketball, horseshoes and bocce (?!?!?!?) playing areas and as far as the eye can see, or a convenient place to park your car for hiking Lone Mountain, this park may suit your needs. May as well change the name to Lone Mountain Geriatric Park. There are picnic areas and a playground. The slides and other play features (AeroGlider, thick balancing rope) have codes you can scan with your smartphone. I have no idea what they tell you, but I'm telling you that Lone Mountain Discovery Park just down the road is superior. Maybe construction isn't really complete... my husband and I both commented that they seemed to have run out of money, as we reached the trash can that marks the sudden end of the concrete walkway headed towards Lone Mountain.

Yelp 100 Challenge 2013- 12/100 Came up here to celebrate a friends birthday this past Friday evening. The park is nicely located next to Lone Mountain (hence the name.. duh). This park offers ample picnic space that is covered, Tennis Ball Courts, Horseshoe Courts, large play area for kids, and bocce ball courts. The only thing that was a slight disappointment was that by the time the sun went down, the play area was not lit up. We searched for lighting and didn't find any switches to light up the play area for my nieces. We enjoyed a few rounds of Bocce Ball and I will return solely for that-- Make sure you BYOB (bring your own bocce balls)

Absolutely beautiful park! Great place for little ones to play. The playground equipment is kept in great condition and has shade covers to help protect from the strong Vegas sun. Great fields for sports, this is where our kiddo plays soccer. We really enjoy the beautiful Mountain View's from this park. Nice large covered picnic area too if you're having an event. It's nice and convenient that there's bathrooms at this park as well.

Here in Northwest Las Vegas, a couple of playgrounds all within walking distance from each other. Rather quiet in the day I went. Plenty of fun for my daughters. Depending on the time of day, ample shade from the sunlight. There is even an area you could ride and/or train a horse. If you can find this park, use it !

While we were helping him get set up, he touched one of the laser tag guns and an employee immediately got irritated and told him in a very rude tone that he "doesn't understand" and couldn't play anymore. He's a young child -- kids that age are still learning and developing at different paces. There was no need to speak to him that way, especially in front of everyone. He ended up in tears. When I calmly approached to understand what happened, the employee continued with the same attitude and dismissive behavior. Instead of de-escalating, she became confrontational, which eventually led to security being called and us being asked to leave. The situation was completely blown out of proportion and handled in a very unprofessional way. This is a children's venue. Staff should be patient, understanding, and trained to communicate appropriately with young kids and their parents. If someone doesn't have the temperament to work around children, this may not be the right environment for them. On top of that, the playground area itself raises safety concerns. There are kids of all ages running full speed through a treehouse-style structure with steep stairs and heavy traffic, which feels like an accident waiting to happen without proper supervision or flow control. Very disappointing experience overall. Parents should be aware of how interactions are handled here.

The former park had a sizeable hedge maze, a jungle gym of sorts (a pole to slide down) with lots of tall slides one one side and short slides for the wee ones too on the opposite end (some parents were putting their too-young children in the tall slides, but you can't do that with babies who can't really lift their heads up). There also was a water feature/splash pad (great for Summer) and hop-along "rides" for the smaller kids. There was a little house to climb up, which was situated in the middle, next to the bathrooms. The new one has wide open spaces, fewer adventures for the kids (like I said, it is small), short slides, and fewer seats for the parents. There is a little jumping feature in the corner- great for children with coordination (our son likes this area), which is popular for kids of all ages. (The sign has an age recommendation.) There was a clerk kind of managing the park who mentioned that the redesign was for distancing (but this was before the virus hit the world as we know it). Here are the nice points. It is clean. There are bathrooms in the immediate area. It is probably better for smaller kids to enjoy.

This place is huge, beautiful, and surprisingly impressive. It has that rare park energy where you can wander around and still feel like you have only discovered about 12 percent of it. The grounds are spacious, clean, and well kept, with plenty of room for events, families, kids, dogs, festival chaos, and people like me pretending I am "just going for a stroll" when really I am hunting for snacks. For a big event, it worked really well. There was enough open space that it did not feel like everyone was crammed together in one sweaty little patch of grass questioning their life choices. The park gives you room to breathe, walk, sit, explore, and fully commit to whatever themed event you accidentally became emotionally invested in. Overall, this is a vast, beautiful park with great event potential and plenty of space to enjoy. We came for the pirates, but the park itself was definitely part of the treasure

There's plenty of it, and it's super close to the dog park, which is always a plus when you've got excited pups ready to go. The park itself is split into a small dog area and a large dog area, and both sides were well maintained. The grass was green and mostly clean, and there were multiple shaded seating areas to relax while keeping an eye on your dog. I really appreciated the water fountains placed around specifically for the dogs, they looked clean and well kept, which isn't always the case at dog parks. There are also lots of trees, so even on warmer days, you can find shade easily. There were easily 15+ dogs there during our visit, and the overall vibe was great. Most of the dogs came over to say hello, and they all appeared healthy, well groomed, and social. No aggressive behavior at all... just the occasional male dog trying to assert dominance, but nothing escalated and owners stayed attentive and in control. That alone says a lot about the type of crowd this park attracts. Speaking of people...everyone we encountered was friendly, respectful, and responsible. It was really nice to see that every dog owner we noticed picked up after their pets. That level of consideration makes a huge difference. Beyond the dog park, the rest of the park was just as lively. The volleyball courts were packed with groups having a good time, and the fields were full of soccer teams ranging from little kids to teens. Even the restroom was well maintained, soap to wash your hands, full rolls of toilet paper, no trash or debris on the floor no floaters in the toilets. The playground was surprisingly not crowded, and it looks like it's been updated....there were no traditional slides, but instead more interactive and physical play structures like climbing ropes, stairs, and obstacle style features that make it fun in a different way. Even the parking lot experience stood out... people were patient, respectful, and courteous. One driver even pulled back into their spot after starting to back out just to let me pass, even though I had paused for them. It's little things like that that really add to the overall experience. All in all, it was an amazing day at the park. The weather was perfect, which definitely helped set the tone, but the cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and thoughtful layout of the park really made it stand out. This is one of those places you'll want to keep coming back to.
