Day's Ace deserves the best review I can ever write…read more It's hard for me to accurately capture a more positive business than the people behind the scenes: all of the many employees in getting valuable components for the home and even the work environment; in the truly beginnings, the store was located in close quarters to the Flagship Kroger grocery store, located at Carroll Blvd., and usually the friendly staff tended to a feline, who roamed around the store. It's since moved to the other extreme end of the large parking lot, near the Denton Movie Tavern; the friendliness must have been "Baked in," because going to Day's Ace is like going back into the good old days, when physical problems around the home could easily be resolved by making a quick run to Denton Center. There is an…read moreolder lady named Jill that has always taken the time to make sure I had everything I needed for my project, usually generating add-on sales to my project's benefit but the disappointment of my wallet. While most of the staff is outgoing and helpful, last weekend Jill was especially helpful and helped me work through my project needs to avoid a follow-up trip for something I forgot. As long as people like her work there, I'll remain a loyal Elliot's customer.

When in the gardening section the gentleman there was giving great advice, but mentioned he wished that someone else was there. He stepped away to call the person whose day off it was, who agreed with his advice, and then came back and followed up with us to ensure that we were doing the best thing for our new landscaping. I don't know when I've had better customer service, these people know their stuff and actually care about your home. Do not hesitate to give them your business!

I purchased the EGO Power+ 800 Series battery-powered lawn mower on June 4th. After setting it up…read moreand using it to mow my lawn, I found that it did not perform as expected. It required two passes to achieve the same cut quality as my old gas-powered mower. Additionally, the self-propelled feature felt clunky and was difficult to maneuver, making the mowing experience more cumbersome than convenient. I was hoping to make the switch away from gas and oil for conveince and environmental reasons, but unfortunately, this unit doesn't meet my needs. I've decided to return to using my old reliable gas mower for now. Now for Ace, I tried to return the mower after using it for 30-minutes and cleaning it up. I was told because I used it, they would not take it back. Off to Ace corporate to see if they can help!

I walked around for a little bit searching for the blind isle, I didn't see any workers around that could help me find it. Once I finally reached the isle with the blinds, I was disappointed. They only had two brands of faux wood to choose from. I guess they prefer customers to buy online instead. After that, I headed over to the light section, again, not many pendant light options to choose from. The lights they did have on display were all very dusty as well. It's hard to visualize lights in your home when they are caked with thick dust. Unfortunately, I left the store without a purchase. On my way out, there was a very friendly man standing at the door thanking me for coming in. I wished he was around when I needed the help. Overall, I think this store is great if you need basic items, but for more options, you'll have to visit their store online to get what you're looking for.

They had ZERO cashiers (on a Saturday!) and only 4 self checkout lanes which were completely cluttered by pallets of HD merchandise so badly that you could not even form a line! One poor guy with a lumber cart had to wait in the adjacent isle!! Obviously a pretty poorly managed store!! Back to Lowe's I go!!! Stay away!!! They just don't care!!! They have pallets of merch in the isles soo bad, that if one person stops to look, you get a log jam of people that can't even get past. Unreal!! ZERO common sense at all
