Technicians who couldn't solve a simple faucet repair. The first guy showed up to diagnose the…read moreproblem and lost the small set screw cover on the faucet handle down the garbage disposal. Never told me and the disposal chewed it up later. The second guy came by with the correct part but couldn't get the old part out. He gave up and said I needed a new faucet. He also mistakenly turned off the feed to the dishwasher and failed to turn it back on. We didn't catch that until we ran a full dishwasher cycle and found out the unit ran with no water! This may have consequences down the road! The third guy came out with a small spring which had nothing to do with the repair(?!!!)I guess he didn't get the memo! By that time I just wanted my faucet installed. He Promised to return the next day. He left and never came back. There were two more appointments to replace the faucet. Both times they didn't show up. No communication at all as to the missed appointments. Unprofessional service to say the least. These guys were assigned to me by my Home Warranty service. They refunded my money on this service, and apologized for the inconvenience, but I question how well they vet their contractors. I will avoid Honest Plumbers for any plumbing service.

He is friendly and direct, and he approached our problem thoughtfully and carefully, with transparent advice and pricing as he quoted our options (and the eventual upgrade we chose based on a well-informed decision). Daniel arrived at our house to clear a grease-clogged drain. We've had a regular plumber augur the drain before, but the clearance didn't last, so this time we called on Roto-Rooter. We explained the history and what we'd already tried, and we asked questions when Daniel told us about probable issues below and our most-likely solutions for a long-term fix. While he saved us hundreds of dollars after testing our disposal and explaining why it was probably not due for replacement yet, he also carefully described the difference between auguring (pushing out a solid clog, or sometimes dragging it back up out of the drain line) and Hydro-Jetting (blasting out grease that has glued itself to the walls of the drain pipe over time). In the end, we chose the Hydro-Jet and its associated warranty period; while much more expensive than a simple augur service, the difference after cleaning is profound! Daniel's lengthy, careful process pushed an enormous pile of grease chunks out of the drain (he said the white pieces we saw so much of were likely many years old, even from the previous owners of this house), which we carefully swept into a bag for proper disposal (see attached photos from before we swept them up). Once he made it all the way down the line, and the water finally started to flow out the usual channels again, he also ran a camera through the drain to ensure that he'd gotten everything. We could see such an improvement, and it's been performing smoothly ever since. Only four stars for the company's hefty pricing, but a full five stars for Daniel's extraordinary service!

We live in a 60 year-old house. We have two mulberry trees and we are on a septic tank. Over the…read moreyears, the roots of the Mulberry tree penetrated the line to our septic tank. Over the last month or so, I could see the drains getting just a little slower. The last time we had, our drains cleaned was nearly 20 years ago. I thought I could just get them cleaned out again, we might go for another 20 years. It turned out the problem was far more serious. We would need to replace that line. I called Roto Rotor, and they came out promptly. Jason, our technician, tried to clear the line, but ran into the roots. Did Dakota came in with a camera to look down the line. The results weren't good. It suddenly became a very expensive job. They would need to dig a hole and replace the line. While it wasn't ideal, and I would've loved to have time to shop the job around, we went with their estimate. Jason and Andres did a very professional job. They got it done in the time promised. Time will tell whether the job holds up. We really appreciate that this job got done. Likely, in this day and age all plumbing projects are going to be expensive. It's just a part of life.
