Crawfish, snow crab claws & boiled shrimp, fried fish(3) & shrimp(6) combo, shrimp fried rice, chicken wings(10), turkey necks

Tis the (crawfish) season. Lone Star has been our go to seafood spot on the Southside of town for years. The food is always hot and fresh. You know the seafood is cooked well when the snow crab easily comes out of the shell and the shrimp peels easily. The crawfish is currently medium in size ($10.99/lb). The stuffed boudin balls have a good amount of shrimp and cheese in the middle all while being nice and crispy. A household favorite is the shrimp fried rice. They do not skimp on the shrimp. Service is quick and all of the staff are friendly. Lone Star is a good place to grab food, an iced cold beer and catch a game if you dine in.

We stopped by a small family restaurant for a quick Saturday lunch. Despite having very little people in the restaurant, we had really good service and fresh food from the kitchen. We ordered the box and the shrimp Poboy. The shrimp Poboy had the option between tartar sauce, mayo, and spicy mayo. We opted for the tartar sauce. It came with a bed of seasoned fries. The shrimp was extra crispy and it had generous amounts of sauce. This definitely will fill me up if I had this for weekday lunch! The box came with copious amounts of sausage and shrimp. It also had a lot of spice, which reminds me of gumbo or jambalaya. It was very well seasoned, and it also felt like huge portions. If you're coming in for an off-season lunch, I would recommend this place!

My coworker posted a picture of her food and it looked amazing. Today, I decided to give them a try. I opted for the shrimp and crawfish fried rice plate. The size is generous for the price...I added an egg. The service was great as I had ordered online for pickup. My item was ready when I arrived. I was expecting the egg added to be chopped up in the fried rice. I was also surprised by the fried rice as it was more of a yellow color. I will say they do give you ample shrimp and crawfish. However, I did not care for the flavor of everything together. I ended up throwing the egg away. The rice was a little better after that. Unfortunately, I did not like the dish in the end. It lacked flavor and the rice color, egg kinda threw me off.

Pound of Crawfish and a half pound of huge shrimp . They were nice and hot!! I got the mild and they were very flavorful. Check out their Facebook Specials, that is what got me there.

Most folks wouldn't consider South Houston a food destination, but I think it's places like Lone Star Seafood that make the journey worth it. There are an absurd number of Viet-Cajun spots in the city, but so many of them lack the homey vibe, excellent service, and high quality food at affordable prices They're located along a strip mall next to Ben Thanh Supermarket (#1) and a handful of local businesses but it's incredibly easy to miss. Parking is going to be plentiful and it's rarely ever busy in here. I realized they open just before the pandemic hit, so I imagine the last few years hasn't been easy. Food wise, it's a non-stop collection of bangers with enough hits that will satisfy most folks. The box fried rice is a combination fried rice with shrimp, boudin, and andouille sausage and is generously topped with the meats. The fried boudin links ($4.75) are a tasty starter, as are the boudin egg rolls ($5.49), turkey necks ($5.49), hush puppies ($2.49), fried okra ($4), and somewhat salty cup of gumbo ($8). At around $10.99/Ib, the crawfish is the real star of the show. They're plump, juicy, and fully drenched in their sauces. I would highly recommend adding corn, potatoes, eggs, and sausage to the boil for added variety.I also think their crab legs, shrimp, catfish, and other seafood fixins are definitely worth a look. The only thing I'm not particularly crazy about is their wings or empanadas, but I just haven't tried them all. Don't sleep on the fish fillets and etouffees, the latter has a nice kick to it. The service is one of my favorite things about Lone Star. They're friendly, quick, and efficient. The best way to feast here to bring a group of hungry dining companions, which is what I'm planning on doing when I come back again, hopefully sooner than later. ___________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/ben-thanh-food-market-houston

I really enjoyed this spot! It's tucked away right near a Vietnamese Grocery store, Goodwill, and other stores so there's plenty of parking. I was craving crawfish so I ordered a pound ($10.99) with potatoes, corn, and sausage with the K-sauce. The total came out to be around $16.50. If I recall correctly, they're doing a special where 2 lbs is 18.99 and 3 or 4 pounds for a better deal- you might want to call or ask them to double check. They give you extra butter and seasoning on the side which is nice. The crawfish were all pretty big and they were super juicy! If you get the seafood boil, I highly recommend the K-sauce. It's basically the Star Sauce (their house seasoning) but with citrus which paired really nicely with the seafood boil. The potatoes, corn, and sausage were all delicious too! Overall, the customer service was good, the interior was clean, and the food was comforting. I can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu. If you're craving crawfish or a seafood boil in the Pasadena area, this is the place to go!

Just good since they cut down on adding plenty of shrimp and change to smaller size. Price never changed only increased.

If you're craving traditional Filipino cuisine, this spot is truly a hidden gem. A friend of mine…read morehas been raving about it for a while. He and his group dine here often, and he always says the food reminds him of home. Curious, I had to check it out for myself and see what all the hype was about. I finally made it in for lunch, and there were so many dishes on the menu that caught my eye. Just a heads up, the portions are generous and meant to be shared family-style. We definitely got carried away and ordered more than we could handle... but at least I had dinner ready for later The fried pompano and fried red snapper were standout dishes, both were large, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The fried calamari ended up being my favorite. The batter was flavorful, light, and crispy, and it was cooked just right. I honestly couldn't stop eating it. We also tried the sinigang soup and a squid dish, which are off-menu items prepared in a more home-style way. These need to be requested ahead of time, but they're definitely worth it. Rose took such great care of us. She was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The service really added to the experience. I'm so glad I was introduced to this place, and I truly hope this family-owned gem gets the recognition it deserves. Also, I couldn't help but notice a couple enjoying a seafood boil nearby, it smelled amazing. I'll definitely be back to try it... I was low-key eyeing their snow crab Highly recommend!

One of the nice trends in Pearland over the last couple of years is the influx of local…read morerestaurants. Previously, Pearland had a lot of chain restaurants. There's a lot more balance now. Located in the middle of Pearland, parking won't be a problem in the shopping center they share with several businesses. I've stopped by three times: once for dinner, once for lunch, and once for happy hour. Ambiance (3.5/5): A comfortable, neighborhood restaurant. It's a pretty spacious one, too. They even have a private room for large groups. I've sat both at the bar and at a table. No complaints. Service (4.5/5): Service has been consistently good for me throughout my three visits. Forrest does a great job behind the bar. He's efficient, friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond. The type of service where you get a refill on your drink before you even have to ask. Drinks (4.5/5): One of the things I like about HT Seafood Company is that they have a great happy hour with specials on both drinks and food. The drink specials are fantastic. And they even do all day happy hour on Saturday! Something you rarely see from a bar or restaurant. Awesome! Food (4/5): A good number of dishes (10 or so) are on the happy hour menu. I've had their fondue fries and shrimp scampi. A little oily and heavy, but flavorful. The lobster grilled cheese with lobster bisque is also delicious. It's not cheap, but a very, very solid lunch option. They also have some lunch specials where you can get some good bang for your buck. If you're a seafood fan, and looking for a spot that offers a lot of great value, HT Seafood Company does a great job of delivering.
