I'm not a one-star review kinda gal, but this place certainly deserves it. If I can save even one person from eating here, my job is done. Due to my capsaicin allergy, I always have to ask if the food I'd like to order has ingredients like cayenne or red pepper flakes. I wanted fried catfish and shrimp, but the server confirmed that both had cayenne in the breading. Despite my husband's warning - "This place looks pretty sketchy" - I went for steak and lobster. We could smell the lobster as the server approached with the plate. And I don't mean "Yum! That smells delicious!" smell. It was more akin to "Call the Coast Guard. There's a dead body floating up to the table." It.was.rank. The steak was gray, thin, and overcooked. Not by a little, but by alot. I asked for rare, this was well-done. I don't think it would be possible to get even mid-rare on a steak that thin. The original plan was to go there for oysters on the half shell, which weren't available. Gauging by the rotten lobster, I'm going to go on the presumption that Lord Jesus took all the raw oysters away to save me from certain death. I am picky with my oysters but their oysters were very CLEAN and plump. The crawfish was also a good size, the flavor was good, and we got the extra spicy cajun spice with garlic. Garlic is $1/lb extra. A dozen of raw oysters are $14?15? Roughly, not a bad price at all! The restroom is clean, can't complain. I only rated it so low because the service sucks! Probably the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time and my first time here. We went for crawfish during the day between meal times. Still busy but not overwhelming. Tables were filled here and there. We were told to sit anywhere and someone would be with us. We sat for a while and had no one come up to us - it took me making eye contact and waving someone down to get our drinks. We ordered an appetizer and then ordered crawfish once our Drinks were brought out. Our appetizer was delicious (chose the one where you choose multiple things) I ordered 3 lbs of crawfish and my friend ordered 4 lbs. The crawfish came out super hot! Was served with melted butter but tasted watered down (wasn't a lot of flavor) I couldn't finish all of mine so I peeled them and got a to go box to bring them home. After you're finished eating you pay at the counter and my friend and I were separate so I began naming what I had to the cashier (he almost seemed like the manager) and when I said I had 3 lbs he said he only had two orders of 4 lbs. our waitress was right beside him and ADMITTED she made the mistake and he still told me "Well You May have ordered 3 lbs but you ate 4." I argued with him about how I was paying for 3 - I never asked for 4 and how was I supposed to know i had 4? What floored me was that the waitress knew it was her mistake and he made the customer pay for it instead of fixing it. My suggestion: bring a scale when you go if you're going to eat crawfish by the pound. read more

In the past I have had problems getting a grilled fish here, so I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered my husband his fried shrimp to find they now offer grilled fish. I can't say it is heart healthy but I can say it was tasty. It came with grilled veggies with the fish laying on top. The coleslaw is some of the best I have had. For me the fried shrimp are typical, nothing special, but my husband loves them. Now I'm looking forward to Friday so I can order the fish again. Horrible customer service, more like disgusting. In front of clients I was called a liar by claiming that I told them 3 lbs instead of six for my to go order. The vegs on the bottom took away from the flavor, I would have asked them to leave it off or on the side if I got it again. The shrimp and fish were both yummy. I saw the low ratings but the reviews seemed to only talk about service so I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed at every turn. First off, they had a large speaker blasting the radio along with TVs on full volume on at least 2 different channels. I will say the service was good, the waiter was very attentive and I never felt ignored. I ordered a cup of chicken gumbo and it didn't taste like any other gumbo I've ever had. It was like a watery chicken stew and it didn't have any deep gumbo taste. I also ordered popcorn shrimp with fries and an extra side of hush puppies. They didn't bring the fries so I had to ask for them. Wish I had not, they were thick, hard and undercooked with very little flavor at all. The shrimp also had no flavor, it could have been battered and fried anything (cotton ball?). The batter didn't have any flavor, it was like chewing nothing. Probably won't try this place again.
