Hard to top Long Ash as the cigars are rolled right there in the front window (overlooking 7th ave) with wine, craft beer, and excellent coffees served at the bar. I find this to be the most relaxed and casual of Ybor's cigar shops. The cigars rolled on site are definitely worth trying for their freshness, variety, and quality. The humidity in the side has a good selection of just about anything. I gravitate more towards Nicaraguans lately of which you can find about the best selection in Ybor. I do wish they were open earlier in the morn as the coffees served are top notch. Definitely a place worth checking out if town and touring Ybor's cigar scene or if like me, your a local and can walk here easily for a smoke and to watch a game etc. read more

Best rum selection I have seen outside of Miami and the Mojito's are fantastic. Grab one of their great handmade cigars and a drink and enjoy the people watching on the sidewalk chairs. Top shelf liquors and great service. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped at Long Ash while visiting 7th street during First Friday's. Was originally planning on just grabbing a cigar and leaving but our bartender was wonderful so we decided to stay for a while. The lounge had the perfect ambiance and all of the staff members were knowledgeable of the products sold and served. read more

Only 4 stars because my chair was not comfortable. Other than that... They were rolling cigars in the window. We went to the humidor and found a cigar we liked. Went to the barkeep and she poured us an IPA and made a Cuban coffee. We seated ourselves outside of the humidor and sat for awhile. We watched a guy face plant straight into the side of the humidor. Man, I felt so bad for him. But that meant the glass was clean as it looked like a door vs a wall. :) Lots of seating including bar seating. Dog friendly so if FIDO needs a smoke take them with you. Parking can be tricky. 2 hour limit on most slots unless you go in the parking garage. We park far enough out we get free parking and move the car after 2 hours. Works great. Wouldn't work so great if this was a Friday night or a busy time. If it's busy just go for the parking garages. Then you don't have to fret over a parking ticket. read more

Long Ash is my go-to spot. Found it in one of my business trips. Since I don't live in Tampa, I have to order online, which has never been an issue. The staff is very professional and courteous, and quite knowledgeable. I Also like that they sell craft beers. Now if only they could offer me a good rum to go with my stick. They have a very comfortable Lounge area, and I'm always pleased with lounges that have good ventilation. read more

My husband and I love this spot. We stop by a few times to grab a stick. It's in a great location in Ybor right by Coyote Ugly, and across from a karaoke joint, so it's always good people watching. Staff is friendly enough, and the other customers are always nice and welcoming. The only thing that could make this joint better is a better selection. read more

While I now live in Texas, Tampa is my hometown and I visit whenever I can, and I make a point to visit Long Ash each time. I usually sit at the bar as I like to visit with people, and that's a great place to strike up a conversation, but the seating areas are comfortable too. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the smokes are excellent and at a good price. The coffee is great (I'm partial to the cortadito), and there is a good selection of beer and wine. I usually take a bundle or two home with me, and I've even been ordering online lately. The cigars always arrive quickly, fresh and well packed. If you're visiting, or even if you're a local and have never been, do yourself a favor and visit Long Ash. You'll have a great smoke, a great time, meet some friendly people, and support and enjoy the Tampa/Ybor City history and culture. read more

Beware!...if you want to mail order any cigars from here , forget it!..My husband was a faithful customer of Long Ash Cigars while in Tampa, and continued to be one long distance via mail order...his last order was delivered to the wrong address, the post office admitted it and even though it was neither our fault nor Long Ash's fault, we were told repeatedly that they would make it right for my husband by "getting more cigars in the mail" for him..nope ..still waiting..and nothing.. what a shame to not have any value to customers who go out of our way to patronize a small business..lesson learned!! read more

Customer service, prices and selection are top-notch. I didn't love the cigar I got, but I've only had one there so far. There are plenty of choices, so I'm sure they have something I would like. My husband had this place bookmarked prior to our arrival in Florida. This was the first shop we visited this trip and by far our favorite from the entire week ! It just has the most laid back vibe and the young man who assisted us was beyond Cool. Just a nice helpful guy, full of cigar knowledge, which my husband the Cigar Nerd just loves ! We came back a few days later with some family members & they loved it too. I had an issue with my credit card because I forgot to call & put a travel alert on this particular card, so the guy was extremely patient, while I was on the phone with my bank getting everything cleared up. He was very easy to talk to made some nice wine & beer pairing recommendations. I enjoyed the house blend that he recommended for me & he gave my husband a great deal on a box of sticks. We will definitely return & refer friends who may visit the area. He also recommended a very good restaurant not far away which we truly enjoyed. read more

I have two humidors full of cigars at home, but these were too sweet to pass on and picked up another dozen of these handmade wonders. Our world is so screwed up - we ban cigar lounges north of the border on the pretensions that cigars are bad for you.
