I'm going to start this review by saying I am a repeat customer for 9 going on almost 10 years this review applies to both the older dealership and their newly set up dealership down the street. I own an e46 m3 if that helps to mention. I have always brought my car to this dealer ever since purchasing the car. Let's just say most of my experiences have been okay nothing spectacular but over the last 5 years I've had very unsatisfactory experiences every time I have visited this dealer. I'll just mention a few. I went in to have my left driver side mirror replaced because the tilting function had stopped working. They replaced it and not 3 days after the visit the mirror had forcefully come out while on the freeway to the point that it dented my door and removed traces of paint. Now of course I was mad and I had done nothing in between then to have caused this so I spoke to my service advisor about this and they basically told me that this was beyond their responsibility. That was strike one for me. My second story starts out with another service visit. I went in to have an oil change done as well as other smaller maintenance issues addressed and communicated to my service advisor that I heard a chirping noise coming from the engine bay. Long story short is they were never able to determine what it was and to this day it still exists. Which tells me their technicians are either lacking knowledge or are too lazy to determine and fix my issue. Third strike comes most recently. I had spoken to a parts advisor I believe her name was Jennifer. Long story short she quoted me for a complete brake job minus parts at a rate of $500.00 before tax. Have knowledge of how dealer networks work I told her to quote my price in the notes so when I arrived they would not try to mess around with me. I get to the dealer and the service advisor Tom I Believe his name is told me that he would not be able to stand by the price that had been quoted. When I argued that it was quoted in the notes he then became very difficult with me and made many excuses to not help me out this ranges from making phone calls to helping other customers to even diverting me away from the dealer manager that was supposedly present that day. I ended up going up to another service advisor named Alex who was more than willing to help me out and work a reasonable price out with me. I was happy but not completely satisfied with this newly negotiated price but moved forward a little irritated. Now the problem I have besides all of the hassle I went through was I got the car back to only notice that the brake light was still on even after the service. In my eyes I consider this an incomplete service. My experiences have been far from satisfactory and as a company that takes pride in their own vehicles would hope that they would help me properly maintain my vehicle rather than create huge difficulties such as the ones I've experienced. This shows me that they are out to suck as much money out of you as possible without any real customer service involved in between. Long story short approach with CAUTION. You may end up with a pleasant experience or you could find yourself in my shoes. As someone who has been coming to this dealer for almost 10 years I'd hope they would value me at least a tad bit more. This is truthful experience from a guy who doesn't expect the world to be handed to him but only to be treated properly. read more

Long Beach BMW Mini Cooper has really made impressive changes within the last few months. Until recently, I viewed the dealership as just that: a dealership. However, I now have a different view as to how they Long Beach BMW Mini functions in their community. Because of the efforts of Bill Smith and his team, I feel that Long Beach is making a dealership that is more about long-term relationships than short-term purchases. I bought my first ( and present) Mini at Long Beach; when I buy my next Mini, thiers will be the first dealership I approach. To give some insight as to my prior aggravations, my 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman experienced a series of frustrating, and rather expensive, failures in the emissions system, even though it had only 40,000 miles on it. As a result of extensive research, I emailed the dealership to question the relevance of a repair in light of a second repair at another dealership. There were some other issues, as well, that I felt were a result of possible miscommunication. I was very impressed. Management wasted no time in acquiring the necessary information from me, performing the research with the staff, and responding to my email with quickness and clarity that was much appreciated. Needless to say, Long Beach BMW Mini dealt with a disgruntled customer with such effectiveness as to not only bring me back as a long-term Service customer, but one that now has a lasting confidence in the services that I will receive in the future. Lastly, I would like to commend the Service team. During the actual process of my most recent repair, I must praise two people, Cindy Shelton and Rudy Ayala, for their participation in bringing about my most recent repair; I found their communication and professionalism above reproach. The good news is the Sales Team is very friendly and seems to be knowledgable... Bad news - the "one price / Sonic" price model! This means there is little or no negotiation allowed! Took my car in for service, we discussed a few of the issues my car had, I had mentioned to the advisor that if my car couldn't be ready the next day then i would need a loaner car or need to pick up my car and have it done a different time when a loaner car would be available. My advisor Alex said he would keep in touch and call me to keep me updated. Didn't get a call the day of or the following day so finally decided to call and talk to him around 1 pm which was a weeknd so they close early. I did not get a hold of him . I left a a voicemail message. He then sent me a text message saying that I should be there no later than 3 to pick up my car And that he would call me shortly to explain. Again no phone call from him I waited and waited so I finally decided to just go in to pick up my car . The main reason I was upset is he failed to communicate things to me. He never called me . I had to inquire and even then didn't get a hold him. I was very irritated . I usually have only but good experiences at this dealer so I'm not going to let this one incident overshadow all the good. This is my second time that I am going to this place to lease my car. Honestly the only reason is Ari my sales person. He is honest and very friendly and definitely not pushy at all. After my last leasing with him (December of 2017), I call him directly and he knows me by name and I tell him what I am looking for and my buget. He tells me if it is doable or not. This time two of my kids have started college and they both needed their own car. I called Ari and he told me if I can wait he will be able to put in one the dealerships demo cars. Initially, I spoke with Ben, the sales manager, about getting a pre-inspection on my upcoming bmw lease return. Ben said the inspection will only take 30 minutes and he would list if BMW Financials will charge me for any lease return fees for worn tires or abuse. True to his word, Ben immediately got someone to do my lease pre-inspection. Well, my Lease return BMW passed with flying colors since it is always garaged and not used for commuting. Ben offered to look at some numbers on pulling my lease forward so that I can get into a new X3 SUV. I was a bit hesitant since I still have six months until lease end and I said the numbers got to be really compelling for me to buy now as opposed to waiting the six months out. I picked out a new BMW X3 in white with moonroof and fully loaded. Anyway, Ben worked tirelessly to get me the maximum incentive and rebate to zero out the remaining lease payments. When the incentives were not enough, they lowered the price of the new X3 substantially to get the numbers where I would be comfortable paying. Since it is a rather complicated transaction with lease return, lease pull ahead, and a new BMW purchase, the other dealers which I visited didn't want to spend more than 30 minutes with me to work the deal. I visited over five local BMW dealers and none were willing to work the numbers to make the lease pull ahead make sense. Ben worked hours to make all the pieces fall together so that I can drive home in a new BMW X3. Fortunately, I was able to drive off in my new BMW X3 that same day. If you guys want to get out of your current BMW lease earlier, you should try BMW Long Beach and particularly ask for Ben, the sales manager. I had a bad experience with the salesperson Bishoy at the end of Sept with buying my car. I got an email to write a review and I did. I explained what happened and my experience (they made fun of another customer, my salesperson LEFT and I had an intern type who was super rude and left me waiting for an hour before I finally went to find him, it didn't come with the mats that were in the trunk and I never got an answer to that, the salesperson never showed me how to use the car, was rude on a follow up call when I asked a question etc. etc. etc.). I was treated differently I guess because I didn't have money enough for them. They want a 5 star customer and are a 1 star sales team. The biggest issue is that I found out from friends who also buy cars here and recommended me to come that the salesperson CALLED my friends to complain about my review. He said he might get fired and justified everything in my review to them. They felt bad. I go to this persons house for Christmas! I was due for an oil change and I decided to schedule my appointment at the Long Beach location because it was so close to work. When I arrived, I was told by my advisor that they couldn't do an oil change because I was only allowed once a year even though I went past my 10,000 miles. My advisor said I had to wait another 3 months in order to do a oil change. I was upset and expressed my concerns due to the fact that I didn't want to add more mileages to my car when it's suppose to be due every 8,000-10,000 miles. I ended leaving my car there for them to check it out to make sure everything was fine. When it was time to get it picked up, my advisor told me that they replaced my oil gasket due to a leakage and noticed that my alignment was off but didn't think it was a big concern so they didn't do anything about it. When I received my receipt, I saw a note stating that they recommended that I do an alignment but "I said i will have it check later". I wasn't notified about my alignment until I picked up my car or else I would of had them do it for me. I decided to contact the Alhambra location to see if I can schedule an appointment there. This dealership is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with in all the dealings I've had with buying new or used cars worst staff ever from the sales manager on down very rude and disrespectful to myself and my cousin I spoke with them over the phone inquiring about a 2013 Avalon limited hybrid they had for sale I was told over the phone that the vehicle was in prestine condition no dents or scratches I took there word for it since it was a BMW dealer that had this vehicle so like I said I took there word for it before I drove the 97 miles to come and purchase the vehicle so I went to my bank and made a check out for the full amount of the vehicle and when we get there the vehicle was not at all in prestine condition it had dents and numerous scratches that they tried to touch up that even there touch up guy onsite said that whoever did the touch up did a horrible job I started voicing my concern and frustration because I drove 97 miles under the pretense of the conversation via telephone that the vehicle was in prestine condition and then started being rude and disrespectful to my cousin and myself because we were lied too then I continue to look over vehicle and the windshield wipers are broken and the wiper blades are torn off and the headlights are foggy the sales manager told me they did a 40 point safety inspection on the vehicle and when I found these safety issues and addressed my concerns because what if I had my wife and 3 daughters in the vehicle and it started raining and I had no windshield wipers we all could of died because of there incompetence of doing a proper 40 point safety inspection and I told this to the sales representative Allen and he told me well things happen and things get missed I told him these should of never been missed and this vehicle should of never been put on the lot for sale without a proper safety inspection and that's when they were like okay well ur right but if u buy the car we will fix the windshield wipers and buff out the headlights if I buy it I told aalen and sales manager I said these issues should of been fixed before you even tried to sell it and the manager tells me well we missed it but we will fix the windshield wipers and headlights like I said if u buy the car but we won't remove the numerous dents or fix the scratches that his touch up guy said looks horrible and at this point I was upset I told the sales manager that I wanted to talk to the General Manager of this dealer and he told me no u can't talk to him and he wouldn't want to talk to u about a used car purchase I said really I think he would want to and would like to know what has transpired here regarding this vehicle and how I'm being treated and he said no you can't talk to him . I was treated rude and disrespectfully and stereo typed because I have tattoos and that's wrong I work hard for my money I work 70 hours a week I'm a commercial Truck Driver and I had I check for the full amount in my hand from my bank I have excellent credit and have two brand new vehicles this was just a vehicle I was buying to commute back and forth so I didn't put all the miles on my brand new Chevy Silverado or brand new Chevy Tahoe but they stereo typed me and we're being racist and it was uncalled for and I have never been more humiliated and so upset in my life and denied the right to talk to the general manager . My cousin and myself we left I was so upset I sent an email to the dealer stating everything that happened and that I wanted to speak to the general manager and put my phone number in the email and told them that if I didn't hear from him that I will be contacting the better business bureau and letting them know about Long Beach BMW and there bad business practices and disrespectful and racist staff and I never heard anything from them so today I will do like I stated and contact the better business bureau so other people aren't treated like my cousin and I were on Thursday the 27th 2019.. If you looking for a your next vehicle purchase and thinking of going to long Beach BMW do not do it you will regret it don't give your hard earned money to such a disrespectful racist dealership that thinks you owe them something they should be thankful and trying to earn your business but it's the opposite there is tons of dealers who will treat you with decency and be polite too you and who will try and earn your business you don't need to go to long Beach BMW and be treated rudely stay away from them that dealer is bad news if your reading my post read more

After taking my BMW to the dealer ship for the 8th time for defective tires, Tom Miller, the Service Advisor had the nerve to tell me that he cant help me and can not give me a loaner car because they were too busy. I am shocked how this service advisor treated me and it makes me feel like I'm some kind of stranger, not a customer. Not only I'm not secure with my vehicle but now they don't even have time to take my car inn for a check up and provide me with a loaner car; i don't feel satisfied at all. SMH read more

I dropped my 530 e off three months ago with an air conditioning problem. Long Beach BMW still has the car claiming they are waiting for parts. I asked for a loaner car multiple times, told they had none. They transiently got me a piece of junk rental car that had multiple dents and stunk of cigarettes. Even this was requested back after a week. BMW NA went into a stall routine not helping me for months as well. Finally after threatening legal action with the California Lemon Law, they agreed to buy the car back, but now say it will take up to 5 weeks to process this. Needless to say I will never buy another car from Long Beach BMW or have a Car serviced there. Weeks go buy without them updating you. The service team makes no effort to communicate, and the sales manager could care less about helping out. read more

The finance department is a joke. I went in with a pre-approval letter from my credit union fully intending to use my own lender. My credit union sent them the funds and they cashed the check. However, I received a bill from the bank (Wells Fargo) that they wanted to fund the loan through. Apparently they have a 5 day window to receive funds from my credit union and since they received it on the 6th day, they went through their bank. I understand that was my credit union's fault but they shouldn't have cashed the check from my credit union. So I ended up with 2 loans to pay. It took a month and a half to clear up the mishap; I was on the phone with Wells Fargo, Long Beach BMW and my credit union on a daily basis. Long Beach BMW was essentially NO help. They'd tell me it was taken care of multiple times when it wasn't. I went from talking to the financial director all the way up to the controller. This could have ruined my credit if it hadn't been for me calling daily and confirming it was resolved with all parties.I was on the verge of paying double just so I wouldn't get penalized for late payment. It was honestly the worst experience I've had buying a car. read more
