But Patricia, AJ, and Andy were so professional and kind without being pushy. I have purchased a Benz 4 times and a Porsche 3 times in my lifetime. For BMW, it was my 2nd time. He patiently explained all the features of the vehicle and walked me through the process step by step before I left the dealership. Even though it was 10-11 pm, he had excellent knowledge, was super lovely, and was not a pushy salesman. First of all, I hate car dealerships and I came in with my expectations low. I liked this place because like Carmax, they offer no haggle pricing. I didn't have the time or energy to go back and forth with a salesman. The lady who took care of me was fantastic by the way, she is the reason this isn't a 1 star review. I was coming to a BMW dealer for a $10,000 used car and she treated me as if I was buying an $80,000 bmw. Truly I can't say enough great things about her. The bad: I came in with a pre approval from Navy Federal. I was clear from the beginning that I was not going to finance with them. Javier the "sales manager" told me he needed to run my credit. I said absolutely not, I am going to use my financing. He lied to my face. He said no, we always have to run credit because it's not cash. I told him this was not my first time buying a car and expected him to ease up but he doubled down. He claimed that it was the store policy. After I left, they called back and apologized and said the general manager said that was not the policy and I could come and do the deal. I thought about it, but I think I'm going to pass. If you must come here, I would advise to ask for anyone but Javier. Wasted 3 hours that I'll never get back driving there and back and another hour and a half at the dealership. read more

Our feedback is unfortunately very negative to say the least. On the advice of Long Beach BMW we purchased an Extended Warranty on March 21, 2025 at a cost of $7,700. During our recent appointment on December 30, 2025 the original estimate was for $425. After inspections were made the final bill jumped to $2,800. Please realize that while the final bill was SIGNIFICANTLY more than the original bill, that is not our issue. Our issue is that NONE of the repairs made were covered by the Extened Warranty. When we spoke to our Service Advisor the response was "the policy you have is not the right policy, you should have bought a different policy." The policy we bought was from LB BMW!!! We have been loyal LB BMW/Mini customers for over a decade. We bought our car directly from Wonki the Fleet Manager of LB BMW. Our cars have never seen the inside of ANY other facility aside from LB BMW - Yet that has now ended. We no longer have confidence in LB BMW. Selling us a $7,700 insurance policy, and then telling us we "bought the wrong policy" is an unconscionable error on LB BMW's part. We will no longer be customers of LB BMW and will be making sure, through online reviews and word of mouth, that others are made aware of the situation we encountered. read more

Worst experience at any BMW dealer, and I visited a few. Avoid and save yourself heartache and hassle.

This dealership has failed to take a vehicle that I traded in out of my name. I traded the vehicle in in August 2024. As of today I have already received four tickets on the vehicle. The most current ticket was for running a red light and indicating I needed to show up in court. When I have reached out to the dealership for each of these incidences they act like they are going to do something about it, but ultimately they brush it off. All they cared about was the purchase we made. The biggest concern is that a warrant will be issued from my arrest because they did not do their job. I would not trust this dealership at all. There are other BMW dealerships who would do a much better job and I would take my business there. read more

I recently purchased a preowned 2024 i4. At first, everything seemed fine, but soon after, I noticed an odd sound that I couldn't really describe. I brought it in for service and even the employees couldn't figure out what was causing it. I ended up leaving my car with them for an entire week, and since the issue was so unusual, they actually had to bring in a special engineer to take a look. Eventually, they were able to diagnose the problem and ordered a part that had to be shipped from Germany. Thankfully, it arrived sooner than expected. While I was waiting, they returned my car to me and also set me up with a nice rental, which I really appreciated. Once the part arrived, the team only needed about three days to finish the repair, and I'm happy to say the sound is completely gone. I especially want to give a huge thank you to Bertha, my service rep. She was amazing throughout the entire process. Every day, she checked in with me and gave updates, which really put me at ease. She went above and beyond with her customer service, and it made such a big difference in what could have been a very stressful experience. BMW Long Beach is lucky to have her. Eventually went down there with my wife and they said they were too busy and promised they would call me back. They never did. My wife and I viewed a 911 that had NO REPORTED CarFax damage????????? WE found the vehicle had taken a hit in the right front and repaired unprofessionally / under the table with overspray present AND mismatched paint on the front air dam. There were also discrepancies in the gaps on the surrounding body work. The salesman was completely clueless regarding the vehicle. January 2025 Deceived by Long Beach BMW - Clean Vehicle Credit Misuse I recently discovered that Long Beach BMW transferred my California Clean Vehicle Rebate without my knowledge or consent. I only learned of this after receiving a letter from the IRS requesting I complete Form 8936. This was a significant financial benefit I was entitled to, and the dealership's failure to disclose this transaction is unacceptable. Furthermore, at the time of my vehicle sale, I was promised an extended manufacturer's warranty and a courtesy manufacture rebate to offset any costs. I didn't ask for the extended warranty and I questioned this offer. I asked Matthew Baum, Finance Manager, to explain further. He explained that they have "courtesy manufacturer rebates" to give out on occasion and said congratulations. Hmmmm. However, this was not accurately presented. He transferred my tax credit without disclosing this to me. I have spoken with Tony Nguyen, Sales Manager, about these concerns--and he seemed eager to look into a resolution for me. However, I have yet to receive any follow-up responses him or a call from the General Manager. I did leave a message for the GM as well. This lack of accountability and transparency is deeply disappointing. I hope to receive a response and a resolution to this matter soon. Feeling deceived and frustrated. I've never had such a frustrating experience with a service department. Long Beach BMW refuses to allow drop-offs for anything other than oil changes on Saturdays, which is incredibly inconvenient for full-time professionals like myself. I had to rearrange my schedule just to drop off a car for two recalls--only to be made to wait an hour, after a scheduled appointment, just to be told they had no loaner vehicle available. They offered me a gas car instead (despite my EV) or nothing at all--on top of requiring a $500 deposit. My wife was later told she had to wait 2-3 hours for the loaner car to charge to 20%, or we had no other option. This appointment was booked a week in advance, confirmed multiple times--including the day of--when we were promised the car would be ready. When I expressed how unacceptable this was and asked for them to respect our time, especially since these were BMW recalls (not regular maintenance), I was told it was a "courtesy." I explained that it's not a courtesy when it's a manufacturer issue and BMW is being paid for the recall work. The representative hung up on me. When I called back and asked to speak with a manager, I was denied. I've had a great experience with the sales team, but the service department and loaner program are absolutely terrible. I visited BMW of Long Beach on Spring Street a few weeks ago. The gal, Naomi, that helped me was wonderful. Khalid, another gentleman, was also very kind and helpful. So I would give the service people a 4-5 stars. Having said that, I also got in a car collision while there. The elderly gentleman who backed into me denied doing it; it was loud and messy. It was so loud and heated that the BMW director/manager (Mr. Brewster) had to come out. He assured me that it would alright because they had videos. He didn't advise me to call the police or anything and in hind sight, I should have called the police department and filed a report. I spoke to an adjuster handling the claim for the gentleman who hit me and they haven't even been able to contact their insured (he obviously is avoiding them) so they aren't accepting any liability. I am out my deductible and rental. They further advised me that I had to acquire the video footage from BMW. I tried. I emailed the director/manager of LB BMW and didn't get any response. He simply ignored me. What is the point of giving me his card if he wasn't going to respond? I am annoyed. I have been driving a BMW for over 10 years and years ago, I used to take my car to this location for service because it was close to my house and back in the day, I used to think the service was awful-unfriendly and snooty is how I would describe them. I purchased a BMW X3 from Long Beach BMW in July (2024). The sales guy I had was amazing, but I don't remember his name - young, from Hawaii. Great guy. However, the finance person who worked with me (female) is terrible. I would give her name, but she "ran out" of business cards and her signature looks like chicken scratch - doesn't even look similar to the name she said. Just imagine a signature that looks like the first letters are J and P but a person tells you their name is "Sandra Locklin" (I just made that up, folks). So all I know is she was gorgeous, well-manicured, with long nails, long black hair, a beautiful engagement/promise ring, and had candles in her office. So, let's get to what she did to make me write this review. First, I wanted to finance through my bank, so I asked for a P.O. and would return with the check. They did everything they could to pressure me into not leaving and allowing them to use my bank financing directly through them. They did have direct access to my pre-approval and could complete the transaction without me leaving, this is absolutely true. However, what they did was despicable. Because they can see how much you are approved for, they manipulated the sale to include things I didn't want or need at a significantly higher cost than the bank. For instance, they added gap insurance to my purchase at a whopping $1,500! That is CRAZY!!! My bank offered the gap insurance for $495. Yep, a whole $1,005 increase to get gap insurance. But that was only one of a few items they tacked on to my purchase. In the end, I went home that night and cried. I love my vehicle, but the joy of the purchase was absolutely ruined by their greed. The next morning, I went to my bank and they advised me to return to Long Beach BMW and have all of the additions removed. The dealership has to cancel the add-ons. I went in and she had the nerve to attempt to get me to accept keeping everything and just allow her to change the cost of my gap insurance to the $495 instead of the $1,500 she had already charged me. NOPE. If she could give it to me at $495, why did she even bother to make it $1,500 in the first place? That should be illegal. Seriously! Then she tried telling me "everybody" gets the other additions. She kept talking and talking, trying to get me to change my mind, but I stuck to what my plan was and did not give in. Once she printed the cancellation paperwork, she wanted me to sign it without thoroughly reviewing it. Nope- not again! This time, I checked every single thing. Why did she attempt to only remove the gap insurance, but keep the other two? Then she acted like she didn't know why the paperwork only printed out the cancellation of the gap when she said she clicked on all three. Then she "couldn't find" the most expensive one to cancel. I had her go ask someone else for help since she couldn't figure it out. In the end, my bank received the refund for the full $5K+ and they recalculated my monthly payments, reducing them by over $140 per month. I got the $495 gap insurance and found a reliable company (Endurance) for the Mechanical Breakdown Insurance at much less. So, if you have financing and want a P.O., make certain they give you one. If I had received the P.O., I would have not only seen all of the extra stuff they were tacking on but so would my bank. If they insist on not letting you have a P.O. when you ask, there is a reason. The lot had so many cars, that they were using all of the spaces normally reserved for customers and other non-parking spaces on the lot for cars. The likelihood of someone walking in and purchasing the exact vehicle I wanted the P.O. for within 2-4 hours (which is how long it would have taken me to go get the check from my bank) was extremely slim. I recently purchased a new BMW X5 from this dealership and been happy with the car so far, but the issue is with the Long Beach BMW finance department. Make sure to do your research before purchasing their warranty. The finance manager Gina sold me an extended warranty that was overpriced for the deal. I didn't know it at the time, but after doing extensive research on the warranty after I purchased it, I realized I was conned in buying an expensive warranty. The reason I give this dealership a one star is that it's almost impossible to talk to someone about the warranty. I attempted to reach their finance department for almost two weeks now and it seems no one is at the finance office. Whenever I call the dealership, Marie (receptionist) directs my call to the finance department but I'm on the phone for 3 minutes with no answer until it hangs up. When I try to call back to reach the finance department again, Marie ignores my calls and automatically sends my call to an automated ring tone. This has been happening for the past two weeks and I can't reach anyone from the finance department to cancel my warranty. Long Beach BMW dealership makes it impossible for you to talk to anyone from their finance department. They say I will get a call back, but I never hear back from them.
