Im a Long Beach Local. This convention center has never done me wrong. Carshows, motorcycle shows, anime shows, comicon shows and recently the Long Beach Grand Prix which occurred this last weekend. There is plenty of parking on the outside as well as parking in other surrounding business areas. Its not hi tech but its clean and it does its job when showcasing the theme. Overall, the workers are friendly and bathrooms are acceptable. I recommend any event that has show cases or entertainment here. Dont expect a Crypto, Intuit or Sofi feeling. It just simple. Today is my first time here and WOW!! I love this convention center, okay this is not the biggest convention center compare to San Diego, Los Angeles, and Anaheim, ones I've been to, but for some reason this one is made so nicely, there are nice places to sit in the lobby, it just gave me the Living Room vibe, it was just cozy. Also, I love how the bag check security works here, all I do is walk through that thing that beeps(forgot what it is called), but if you don't beep, you can continue to go your merry way. Only when you beep, is when you get your bag checked. Only bummer part is the garbage parking, it's limited...BUT have no fear, we are allowed to park at Pike Outlet Parking Garage, and we felt so safe walking from there to Long Beach Convention Center, and it's not that far and I love the fact we can just walk directly to the Center from the mall. I've been to the Long Beach Convention Center many times from the early years of the Anime Expo to industry conventions. Alike many convention centers, it's a gigantic space for large, medium, and even smaller events. I've been through the main exhibition center mostly and recently returned here for the AOA Conference in Hall C, which was a smaller venue. The facility was as expected, with a nice space and there were some good dining options. Only take with that is, most of the food options there were just cafe or quick serve food, so nothing too fancy. BUT...my goodness, since when did a rice bowl or a deli sandwich cost $20 before taxes?! That's so insane. I was literally starving and wanted to just have a small bite, but really disappointed they didn't have more reasonable items for everyone. And their parking was also a little messy. They had parking staff there, but exiting was a HUGE mess! NO orange cones, NO traffic management...everyone was literally honking their horns. And the parking fee of $15 was as expected, though from other reviews, some events the parking fees can be up to $30, so it will vary on the event you're attending. The convention itself is a good space, but seems like there are areas the Convention Management Team should revisit, so that it stays a positive experience for everyone. read more

Visited to watch Disney on Ice and was pleasantly surprised by the seating--it was comfortable with a great view. I also appreciated that there was a changing station in the men's restroom, which made things much easier with an infant. Service was just okay. Unfortunately, the doors opened late, and many families--including us--missed a noticeable portion of the show while waiting outside. We didn't try the food since we had dinner plans afterward. This place is HUGE! I've been here many times for different types of events but this last time was for a volleyball tournament. There was also an anime and jiu jitsu tournament happening the same weekend but it never felt super busy, which was great! There are several places to enjoy in and around the center including many food options! One gripe is that while I was relaxing on a couch in an area away from the crowds, an employee told me I couldn't be there. Meanwhile, another employee told me that food was not allowed but "don't get caught with it". Parking is $25 all day in "nearby" lots. Better off parking at the Pike for $15. read more

They charged $25 for parking on a holiday weekend and do not allow outside food or drinks. They have water filling stations, concession stands, restaurants and a bunch of food trucks. It also has many places to eat nearby so it is a great place to visit when they have tournaments or other events here. read more

Parking was a little confusing because there was construction going on so I ended up parking at the next door theater and then walked across the bridge. Parking was $15 for the whole day which wasn't bad at all. It was freezing inside but there were plenty of spots to sit and work on and had 3 levels. Location was great as you could walk to the pier and there were shops and restaurants nearby. The food was definitely the worst part. I know not to expect great food at these things and not sure if they make the food in-house or they catered it but it was not great. First day included "Greek" food and second day included "thai" food. read more

I went to the Long Beach Arena for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live with a group of 15 adults and children. My five-year-old Leo B. earned the outing with 50 stickers' worth of good behavior, and I got four of his kindergarten friends and their parents to join us, as well as our friend and his two-year-old. We never actually saw the two-year-old and his daddy. They left before we got to our seats--the poor boy terrified by the roar of the monster trucks in the small, enclosed arena; the poor dad forced to drive to and from Long Beach for one minute of negative entertainment. We'd taken our kids to Monster Jam at Angel Stadium and I kind of thought Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live would be similar. I was tipped off, though, by the difference in ticket price. I think Hot Wheels tickets were less than $30 apiece, compared to $60+ for Monster Jam. The Long Beach Arena is, as it turns out, dramatically dinkier than a baseball stadium. It's an old venue, not especially nice, and not well suited to a monster truck event. One of the other moms said she'd been for a few comedy shows, and this made more sense to me. It is probably a good place, even an ample one, to watch a stand-up comic. On the plus side, parking was relatively easy and affordable, and there was no hassle to get in. No lines for concessions or merchandise, so at least we didn't have to wait to buy our extortionate ear protection ($35 for a cheaply made set; I see the same ones available for $3.99 online). The kids got cotton candy and ludicrously oversized red-and-white-striped boxes of popcorn. They looked very cute holding them. I didn't particularly enjoy the show, which was indeed loud, with all the noise trapped inside the arena. Likewise whatever fuel those trucks were burning, which had nowhere to escape. The monster trucks didn't have much room to race or perform tricks, so the highlight, per the children, was just this kind of janky truck that transformed into a dinosaur-like shape and breathed fire for a minute. There was a brief interlude with cool motorcycle tricks. Nothing to do with monster trucks, but the most watchable segment, in this mom's opinion. The kids had a blast, though, every one of them. My boys did not register any difference between Monster Jam and Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, or Angel Stadium and the Long Beach Arena. 4 and half stars. Visited the Long Beach Convention Center during 2025's Scuba Show (see other review). A few notes about the facilities themselves: 1. (Pro) Quick access from the I-710 Interstate Highway. I-710 South terminates in downtown Long Beach, and the Convention Center was less than a quarter mile away. 2. (Pro) Parking was plentiful and reasonable. $15/day, and it wasn't just the parking lots physically on-site, but the rate was the same for some other garages nearby too. I got to the parking structure adjacent to the convention center entrance 30 minutes before the show opened, and although it took about 10 minutes to creep into the structure, once inside there was still a lot of parking available. 3. (Pro) The facilities themselves are first-class: A very large convention hall with room for 6 rows of vendors. Rest facilities were numerous and strategically placed- two sets of male/female in the convention hall itself, and several sets near the seminar halls. In addition to the two snack stands in the convention hall, there is another in the lobby, another in the other hall room, and a food truck outside. The only food truck was totally slammed by customers, I hope next time there will one or two more. 4. (Con) The biggest con is the prices of the food & beverages. Drinks were $20 each, a simple hot dog was $16. On the first day at about 2 pm I decided to splurge and get a bacon hot dog ($18). I hungrily devoured the hot dog. It was only about 1/4 left before I woke up and realized there wasn't any bacon in it. No bueno! With that being said, the pros outweighed the con, and I will gladly visit the Long Beach Convention Center again in the future! Repeat and recommend! I attended the Comic Con for the very first time. This location was huge and spacious. The convention was nice This event was decent size. I did not know what to expect. The entire center has enough seats for everyone to hangout and rest. I've walked around the floor and felt it's a spot you can just walk to and hangout. Across the street is an outdoor walkway to shops, weekend market and more. Parking garage: $15 All day Easy to find. Security checks your bag but outside food is ok to bring in. read more

Conveniently located in downtown Long Beach, this place grew on me as I'm finding myself attending conventions here yearly. Parking here is confusing though since they sometimes block off entrance for self parking and only do valet which I sometimes do not want. So easiest solution is to park at the nearby structure and get it validated from other restaurants or store nearby. Aside from parking, this place is roomie. Pretty spacious and easy to walk around. Not to mention that this place is surrounded by restaurants and shops nearby. Also lots of hotels if you are traveling in. Team members are always friendly and welcoming. This location hosted the ASCA conference from 7/12 - 7/15 that I attended. It was roomy, clean and had plenty of bathrooms! There were a good number of session rooms available on the main level and the second level had some as well. The main convention floor area was huge. The arena with stadium seating seemed smallish, but fit everyone. Lunch was provided to the side of the convention floor area and the servers were very attentive. There were places set up to chill and decompress which was a nice. A few sessions were in rooms downstairs so it felt like a dungeon, but still with similar vibes to the upstairs rooms. There was outdoor seating which was pleasant as we soaked in the SoCal sunshine. I had a shuttle to and from my hotel to this convention center so I have no idea how parking worked or the cost. I enjoyed all of the restaurant options across the street. There were various hotels available nearby. Entertainment was on and poppin' as well. Walking distance to the Aquarium, short driving distance to the Queen Mary, boat trips close by and more. Great place to have a conference! read more

We head here every year for Midsummer Scream. The convention center itself is laid out pretty well. The rooms range from small to larger size...all the way to the ballroom. Food stinks here. It is all baseball stadium level with the same prices. I need more healthier items. Also, the area around the convention is getting pretty ghetto. I know it isn't there fault but it takes away from the joyful, clean look. read more

Came here to watch Sleeping Beauty featuring the State Ballet of Ukraine. Parking wasn't difficult for the matinee show, paid $15 cash but they can take card. Depending on which level you parked, be ready to walk a short distance (good for health). I like that's it breezy when you're outside the center. Then go through the usual security check, show your tickets and go inside while you wait for the doors to the theater to open. Acoustic is okay, can be better I think (or not). Haven't tried the food or buy any snacks or drinks here. Overall experience is good and will come back for other shows! read more

I had my graduation here. There are a few restaurants around as well. The Venus itself is nice, but it isn't very clear. The parking isn't user-friendly either, and it's easy to lose your car. The atmosphere is nice if you don't have an event to attend, it's pretty to walk around. I have also been here for a comedy show years ago, and that was fun as well. We attended The Beach Boy's Experience with the Long Beach Symphony and it was amazing! From the Meal, the music and overall experience we had such a blast. The Venue was fun was easy to get in and plenty of parking as well. The bathrooms were clean and they had someone guiding so the Line wouldn't accumulate love that little touch. I've been to this location before for other events as well and the art around the convention center is great and lots of photo ops and nice lounging areas to hang. read more

Came here this past weekend for a large conference. The venue is huge! It fits the people we needed and had the amenities that we needed. However, I wish the parking was more centrally located. The ceiling of the conference center also looked like it had water damage. Unsure if the issue has been resolved but the stains are still there. While walking to the venue, on the street from the parking lot, the ceiling was leaking right near electrical equipment. The bathroom stall doors were too close to the toilet so getting in and closing the door was a little much. The pros: large enough space for large events. The staff are amazing and are very professional and hospitable. The break out rooms were great in sizes and the AV equipment in the venue was great. Overall, a good venue but could use some TLC in some areas. read more

I have attended as well as been an exhibitor in many trade shows in my career in many different States, but the Long Beach Comvention Center remains as my favorite venue! It's always meticulously maintained, enhances both attendee and exhibitor experiences, and is conveniently adjacent to world-class dining, hotels, and entertainment amenities. There is adequate parking inside and near the convention center, and the parking fees are reasonable compared to that in LA, San Diego, and Las Vegas. Disney+ was good. My favorite character was mini and also the food was delicious. The cotton candy was the best and also the show was amazing. My favorite was Moana. Frightening place to attend anything if you are handicapped. We went to a gymnastics competition where all seats were upstairs. There is one elevator which apparently breaks down daily and it did it again today by 11:00 am with 2 of us using wheels inside it. Once we were able to get the doors open the 2 event staff that were upstairs had no idea if there was another elevator or how to help anyone with mobility problems in case of emergency!!! Took asking a few times for one of them to call for help...meanwhile we were missing the awards and had family downstairs trying to get us help. So glad they redid the seats in this venue but didn't do anything to help with their ADA problems read more

Long Beach Convention Center has a few advantages: easy to find, close to the Ocean, shops and restaurants and a few subway stops in case you can avoid driving and parking. It is big and I like the outdoor design, inside it could be cleaner and have more restrooms for the space. Otherwise, they hold lots of cool events and conventions here, it is a good, solid venue. Not the biggest, but I am OK with less crowds, it is plenty for me. read more

The convention center was decent. There was ample room inside, although it seemed kind of dated. There were multiple (probably about a half dozen) classrooms on each level, and several large ballroom halls. Downstairs was a very large hall that could fit semis, large displays, and very large events. The convention center was within walking distance of downtown Long Beach and several nearby hotels and restaurants, making it convenient to attend events here. During our conference, the convention center provided breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The food was actually good and there was plenty of it. The restrooms were all clean and well stocked. The furniture and tables around the venue seemed clean and did not seem to be overly worn and I didn't notice any cosmetic issues. I'd be glad to attend another conference here! read more

The convention center is a beautiful space, but accessibility is seriously lacking. The disabled stall was locked for two days in a row, despite me asking staff to pass it along to maintenance on the first day. None of the bathroom entrance doors had automatic open switches, either, so I had to sit around in my wheelchair and wait for some kind fellow convention-goer to let me out each time. Also none of the meeting rooms had automatic door switches, so again if I wanted to enter after a talk had started, I was forced to sit around and wait for some kind soul to open the door for me. What maybe took the cake for me was, when I was walking with my cane one day, a staff member saw me and yelled to me, "Hey, are you using that for balance?" asking me to disclose my medical situation instead of simply telling me there was an elevator around the corner. On the other hand, a very kind housekeeping woman walked with me across the convention center to show me where there was a bathroom with a working disabled stall--something that would have been completely unnecessary if the owners cared about disabled guests in the slightest. Management, if you happen to read this, I will leave you with one pro tip: your space is NOT accessible if a wheelchair user can't navigate it completely independently. We don't care about you following the ADA's bare minimum--we care about being able to enjoy conventions as fully and independently as non-disabled attendees. Lastly, the air quality in here was just okay. In the grand atrium, I measured CO2 readings in the 600s ppm, which is considered excellent, but the smaller spaces would get readings as high as 1300 ppm when fully occupied, meaning their ventilation system could stand to be upgraded for the wellbeing of all guests in order to minimize the spread of airborne viruses. read more

One thing the center does right is to hire or accept volunteer staff who are, for the most part, competent, caring and kind (Shane, Chris etc). But they are able to do just so much. Like many corporate entities, the administrators of the Center are letting problems remain ongoing until they are forced to address them due to lawsuits involving gross negligence. I wonder when or if the lady in the wheel chair was able exit the premises. Were all elevators not functioning at 10 o'clock One elevator has in repair since September if not longer, I believe. Another thing. Would in interrupt their lives too much to provide signage to alert their customers about what is playing at which theater? read more

We should have driven to Ontario for the Christmas showing instead. But we waited til New Year and ended up in Long Beach to see Disney on Ice. Where to park and which side of the convention to enter were not clear at all. My family and many others ended up parking on the opposite corner of the convention center only entrance. We had to walk a good 10 - 15 mins plus gone up and down stairs with little ones. Once inside, there was no sign whatsoever which section was what. So we had to walk through the entirety and guessed through multiple doors hoping we ended up in our purchased section. Also the chairs were sooooo old. U could barely make out the numbers on them and they were half broken. So def give yourself an extra 30-45 mins to park, find your way in, and get settled. We saw many families coming in 30+ mins into the start of the show. The show itself was fine. But I would never return to Long Beach convention for any future shows or events. read more
