+ Huge, well-maintained convention center. + Grateful for the various free, nearby street parking, only 2-3min walk away. At other convention centers, the nearest free street parking can be 15min walk away. + The Center is well-equipped with numerous AV equipment and furniture, ready to serve a wide variety of events. Reminds me of my old Ops Crew work-study job. + Various restrooms spread throughout the entire complex. . The event and layout were mostly well-organized. Things proceeded pretty smoothly. - People handing out sketchy free CDs aggressively. (I thought what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas~)

Today is my first time here and WOW!! I love this convention center, okay this is not the biggest convention center compare to San Diego, Los Angeles, and Anaheim, ones I've been to, but for some reason this one is made so nicely, there are nice places to sit in the lobby, it just gave me the Living Room vibe, it was just cozy. Also, I love how the bag check security works here, all I do is walk through that thing that beeps(forgot what it is called), but if you don't beep, you can continue to go your merry way. Only when you beep, is when you get your bag checked. Only bummer part is the garbage parking, it's limited...BUT have no fear, we are allowed to park at Pike Outlet Parking Garage, and we felt so safe walking from there to Long Beach Convention Center, and it's not that far and I love the fact we can just walk directly to the Center from the mall. I didn't try the food at Convention Center.

LBCC renamed and renovated some areas. Happened to have caught some art displays.

I've been to the Long Beach Convention Center many times from the early years of the Anime Expo to industry conventions. Alike many convention centers, it's a gigantic space for large, medium, and even smaller events. I've been through the main exhibition center mostly and recently returned here for the AOA Conference in Hall C, which was a smaller venue. The facility was as expected, with a nice space and there were some good dining options. Only take with that is, most of the food options there were just cafe or quick serve food, so nothing too fancy. BUT...my goodness, since when did a rice bowl or a deli sandwich cost $20 before taxes?! That's so insane. I was literally starving and wanted to just have a small bite, but really disappointed they didn't have more reasonable items for everyone. And their parking was also a little messy. They had parking staff there, but exiting was a HUGE mess! NO orange cones, NO traffic management...everyone was literally honking their horns. And the parking fee of $15 was as expected, though from other reviews, some events the parking fees can be up to $30, so it will vary on the event you're attending. The convention itself is a good space, but seems like there are areas the Convention Management Team should revisit, so that it stays a positive experience for everyone.

This place is HUGE! I've been here many times for different types of events but this last time was for a volleyball tournament. There was also an anime and jiu jitsu tournament happening the same weekend but it never felt super busy, which was great! There are several places to enjoy in and around the center including many food options! One gripe is that while I was relaxing on a couch in an area away from the crowds, an employee told me I couldn't be there. Meanwhile, another employee told me that food was not allowed but "don't get caught with it". Parking is $25 all day in "nearby" lots. Better off parking at the Pike for $15.

    Home of JJWL tournaments.

My son competed in a Jiujitsu World League tournament here recently. It was really well organized and everything went smoothly. As a venue, this place is huge. They charged $25 for parking on a holiday weekend and do not allow outside food or drinks. They have water filling stations, concession stands, restaurants and a bunch of food trucks. It also has many places to eat nearby so it is a great place to visit when they have tournaments or other events here.

Check in was a breeze; my friend added me as a guest to her reservation. View was nice, room was clean & tidy. Overall stay went well. Spacious lobby with many food options. Would choose to stay here again...

4 and half stars. Visited the Long Beach Convention Center during 2025's Scuba Show (see other review). A few notes about the facilities themselves: 1. (Pro) Quick access from the I-710 Interstate Highway. I-710 South terminates in downtown Long Beach, and the Convention Center was less than a quarter mile away. 2. (Pro) Parking was plentiful and reasonable. $15/day, and it wasn't just the parking lots physically on-site, but the rate was the same for some other garages nearby too. I got to the parking structure adjacent to the convention center entrance 30 minutes before the show opened, and although it took about 10 minutes to creep into the structure, once inside there was still a lot of parking available. 3. (Pro) The facilities themselves are first-class: A very large convention hall with room for 6 rows of vendors. Rest facilities were numerous and strategically placed- two sets of male/female in the convention hall itself, and several sets near the seminar halls. In addition to the two snack stands in the convention hall, there is another in the lobby, another in the other hall room, and a food truck outside. The only food truck was totally slammed by customers, I hope next time there will one or two more. 4. (Con) The biggest con is the prices of the food & beverages. Drinks were $20 each, a simple hot dog was $16. On the first day at about 2 pm I decided to splurge and get a bacon hot dog ($18). I hungrily devoured the hot dog. It was only about 1/4 left before I woke up and realized there wasn't any bacon in it. No bueno! With that being said, the pros outweighed the con, and I will gladly visit the Long Beach Convention Center again in the future! Repeat and recommend! Next year the Scuba Show is 30-31 May 2026, let's go!

Great time at the Long Beach convention center! I was there for the CABE teacher conference and it was great! Awesome hospitality! Very well organized for all the sessions. Friendly and helpful staff! They also had some food and coffee options available in the conference. We had a luncheon provided in the conference room and it was wonderful!

What a gorgeous building! This was a great spot to attend a conference. Big open space, big rooms, friendly staff. The lunch we had the first day was not great. The chicken wraps had lettuce that was turning brown and chicken that was extremely dry. Location is great because it's fairly close to the airport, close to a lot of hotels and restaurants, and a beautiful area.

(Attended 08/20/25 WE @ 7:30am and several times before): This center along Long Beach's Shoreline Dr. was the area's hub for conventions and any entertainment events! I've been to the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center many times over the years with events that ranged from concerts, conferences/seminars, traveling stage performances, and more recently trade shows, which this particular review is based upon. With more than 400,000 square feet of total meeting and exhibit space, the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center is ideal for all types of special events, conventions and tradeshows and is within walking distance to everything. The Center features three multi-faceted exhibition halls that can be used individually or in combinations of up to 224,000 square feet of contiguous floor space, allowing maximum creativity in planning for any usage. How did this center for conventions and entertainment in Long Beach fare for this event!? PURCHASE Ticket - General Admission (FREE): Complimentary as all you needed to know - perfection! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=C30GrCruxGjIx7VOGjK09A THE SHOW A bi-annual event presented and produced by the Apartment Owners Association (AOA), this all-day event was every bit beneficial and helpful for those who managed or owned property in Los Angeles County. From a slew of vendors - three of which I later hired for various work needed at some of the properties - to keynote speakers who were doing their best to keep property owners abreast of the constant changes that went on within the industry, how to better your position, and options on how to either enter or exit the business. Here were just a few examples: ~AOA President Jeff Faller: Provided opening remarks and introduced all the major keynote speakers. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=y6wHfsWY1pYwP86_MJZesw ~Optimum Seismic Business Development Manager: His presentation on the new seismic retrofitting ordinance in Burbank, CA. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=8z_FDdGzuSksqh3sTpPiYA ~Eviction Attorney Dennis P. PARKING (Varied; $15.00 this instance): A flat-rate fee with no in and out privileges, and over 4,000 cumulative spots among various onsite garages (the main parking held over 1,900 spaces), there were ample places to park - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Initially, you walked through a spacious lobby area until you reached Exhibit Hall C, the second largest of three exhibit halls. Once inside you were faced with rows upon rows of vendors who offered their services, the central AOA booth if you had any membership questions, the main stages https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=R6xM_RYRJOue1HXo_HREww found at each end of the hall where the keynote speakers presented, and the two side stages https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=y5tSLCwu4fv6EUBu_T4W1Q where quick "Power Talks' occurred. The sound quality was decent but at times was drowned out, echoed, reverbed back to you, and could've used more speakers at each respective stage. No natural lighting since you were indoors while a ton of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any monitors or background music except for the sound of bustling hustle and guest speakers. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL During this particular event, The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center was fine and in the past it had been better, so I would continue to support this venue. It was easy to get here and find, and all of the directional signage was very helpful. Although I didn't take advantage of this, there were plenty of things to do in the immediate area. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $15.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... She graduated with honors and was in the very first group of students to walk, which tells you right away this girl has an impressive list of accomplishments. She came out absolutely covered in sashes, cords, collars -- every academic honor imaginable. I kept joking and asking if she wanted me to buy her one more lei or bouquet, but she already had so much stuff hanging off her she could barely move. What impressed me most is how grounded and sensible she is. She skipped prom, skipped grad night, and stayed focused on her future. You can tell this girl has her mind on bigger things. Sitting through graduation, we all started realizing we were probably in for a three-hour ceremony. Her mom laughed and said, "Honestly, if she wants to leave after she gets her diploma, I wouldn't care. She's followed every rule up to this point." I started cracking up and asked if she wanted me to text her. She said yes. Sure enough, right after getting her diploma, I suddenly see her walking straight through the stadium toward the exit gate. I looked over and said, "Is she doing it? Is she really doing it?" Next thing you know, we get a text: "I'm ready to go." Absolute renegade behavior -- and honestly, iconic. We beat all the traffic, had the perfect exit, and she just shrugged and said, "I'm done with these people. Let's go." Move to the beat of your own drum, kid. The future is looking very bright for this girl. Five stars for a graduation day we'll never forget.

Blair Field was built in 1956, and has been the home of the Long Beach State 'Dirtbags' baseball team since 1993. The field was named after the sports editor of the local paper, who was a champion for the field to be built. After a significant contribution from a longtime supporter, the infield was named Bohl Diamond at Blair Field in 2017. The 'Dirtbags' are a college Division I baseball team, with some alumni that have done very well at the MLB level. Two of them have had parts of the stadium named after them (Tulowitzki Batting Facility and Weaver Bullpen). It has also been the home of the new professional Pioneer League baseball team, the Long Beach Coast (aka Regulators) since 2026 (this game was part of the inaugural season). The Pioneer League is an independent league (not directly tied to MLB team), but is an official MLB partner league, and consists of 12 teams across the Western U.S. The opponent tonight were the Missoula Paddleheads, coming all the way from Missoula, Montana. The stadium seats 3,238 fans, with some distinct sections. The most expensive are the Backstop Club, 6 boxes of 2 rows of 3, right behind home plate, costing $48.36. Behind those are HomePlate Reserved, $27.20. The field box seats consist of 2 rows of 3, closest to the field on both the first and third base lines, and cost $43.07. Behind those are Baseline Reserved for $19.79. All of these have individual, numbered chairs. The rest are bleachers (metal seats with no dividers between seats). The Bleacher Reserved are just behind the HomePlate Reserved, with metal benches as seats (bringing seat cushions isn't a bad idea), but having seatbacks. They were 50% off this Tuesday (normally $20.54 but $10.27 tonight), and those were the 4 that I purchased via their dedicated website. Tickets were delivered via an email, and were easy to transfer to my Apple Wallet for easy scanning. General Admission seats behind the Baseline Reserved were just $2 tonight (normally $16.62). This is the way to go. Season ticket holders have some advantages in that they gain entry to the stadium parking lot (single game have to park on the street around the area), and are allowed to enter the stadium early (others have to wait till 1 hour before game time). Thus we waited till 5:35, at which point they let us in. First was a security check (no backpacks allowed), a metal detector. Then a scan of your ticket. Once entered, we noticed a lot of Filipino themed food vendors. Foodologie, Gemmae, and Teofilo Coffee were all there. The smell of fried Shanghai-style lumpia was pretty prevalent throughout the night. It made us happy to see this Filipino staple being shared by baseball fans while watching the game. Before the start of the game, there were two performances of traditional Filipino dances, the presentation of Filipino beauty queens, the throwing out of the first pitch by a prominent Filipino community leader, and the singing of the national anthems (Filipino and United States), both by two different Filipino singers. As one can imagine, the three Filipinas sitting next to me were very happy. As for the game itself, the Coast lost 1-3 this night, with the game lasting about 2.5 hours. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Plus our neighbor made it big by appearing on the "jumbotron" TWICE, with her dancing (that's when I understood why she wanted to be sitting on the aisle). She was chosen 'fan of the game' and got two complementary tickets for a future ball game. Some negatives were the poor announcing of what was happening during the game by the PA, and with the really, really small display of the current balls/strikes/outs on the jumbotron. There was a long delay (seemed like 10 minutes, though probably shorter) at the bottom of the 8th inning, when the game just stopped for apparently no reason...the players stayed on the field, but the umpiring crew of three just wouldn't let the game continue. The PA system started time filling events as if it was between innings to keep the fans pre-occupied, so they must have known what was going on. But the baseball fans didn't...finally, we got irritated enough to start chanting 'Let's play ball...Let's play ball'. That got the umpires attention, as if it was the first time he noticed that there were fans waiting. Baseball is a game of hand signals, and I had no clue what the crew chief signaled to the press box when the game restarted. I was expecting an explanation from the PA, but nada...the game continued as if the delay was normal. But the views and atmosphere was good enough for all four of us to want to stay for the entire game. Plus got to see a 95 mph fastball from behind home plate. It wasn't too difficult to leave the parking lot, and we got home in under 30 minutes.

Went to my first game to this field last week for the new pro team LB Coast/Regulators as it's…read morepartially owned or invested by local Warren G There is plenty of parking usually for season holders in the main parking lot but if you aren't one you have lots parking around the field in the street So getting into the venue is pretty slow with security which is a little ugh and it can take a while to get food inside if you want to eat but everyone is super friendly though Players greeted us with free Pom Pom swag and there isn't a bad seat view honestly The bathrooms are just one set for each gender on one side of the field They tried their best to make it as fun as it would at a big league game with fun on screen games or in the stand trivia or challenges It's a good time if you can make it do it! Our game had a drone show for the 4th and the team won by a ton

I really liked the location and how Amex provides 2 free drinks. Fortunately, I did my homework…read morebefore the game and made last minute reservations to get seated by the window. You can also choose main dining area which has bar height tables. We chose to do the buffet but I would not do it again if it is the same food options. The roast and sirloin were so tough I couldn't eat them. I included the menu for the day and it was $61pp. But I totally regretted it and should have went with the bar menu items instead. Totally not worth the high price. Our waiter didn't really explain everything well and I never knew it included soft drinks. They do have an area near the bar for limited table seating and bar seating for first come first service. I was upset when my son and I went to go to the buffet and someone took our drinks and water as though they thought we left. Had to ask for another beverage again and even the waiter was baffled. It is very clean and they have restrooms nearby. They also have a patio bar that was lively. They offer patio cushioned furniture to hang out in the patio. It was very nice to be seated at the window because it allows for excellent views of the pitch. It was very nice but it did seem as though the staff were confused as they walked around and there was some confusion at check in. It can be a little confusing too when you first arrive. You will see the entrance with the stairs to go up but just know they will direct you around the corner to check in with hosts and provide your Amex CC. Also, make sure all parties have an AMEX CC so all get 2 free drinks otherwise only the cardholder will get free drinks. The rest of your party will be allowed to enter but without the free drinks. Really like that it pays to have AMEX!

I came here, via car, for dinner before a soccer game on a Wednesday in late May 2024. We had…read morereservations here and it wasn't very crowded. I love that if you have an American Express credit card, you and two other people in your party can each get wristbands for 2 free drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) - just show your AmEx card at the kiosk at the top of the stairs when you enter. For a buffet, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The Smoked Beef Brisket was very good and I loved all of the different salad options. My favorite was the Crisp Apple Slaw. The restaurant had a great view of the stadium and there is a time limit to how long you're able to stay in the restaurant. $53 per person for this buffet was definitely on the pricier side though. I think this restaurant is worth checking out once if you're attending an event at the stadium but okay to skip if you're not a regular.
