We were visiting the area and stopped by for dinner, specifically based off of their reviews and because they're a family-owned business. We ordered their Tico Pico Bowl, Fish and Chips Basket, and Special of the Day (Red Snapper with grits, diced tomatoes, broccoli, and cornbread). The two former were designated as "local favorites". The pork in the Tico Pico Bowl was on the dry side, so we asked our server for a recommendation on a sauce to accompany it. She brought us barbecue and it made such a difference. Our other two entrees were fine, with their cornbread being the star -- it was on the sweet side, but delicious. Our server was outstanding and made us feel welcome. Their atmosphere is casual and they have several televisions to catch up on sports news. We dined inside for the televisions and air conditioning, but they also have a nice outdoor patio overlooking the parking lot. We would return again the next time we're in town! read more

Very festive atmosphere, waitresses, table cleaners and cooks are all in High Speed mode during lunch time. Our fish sandwich and bacon burger were awesome. The tater tots were crispy and delicious. This is my "Go To" place for wings or fish & chips. Fried food always tastes fresh and on point like the oil was brand new (you'd know what I mean if you ever had food somewhere that didn't change out the fryer when they should!) We stopped at Long Doggers for lunch. We waited about 5-10 minutes for a table. The waitstaff all had on masks. I ordered their Shrimp Grinder sandwich while my husband had the Chili Dog. The Shrimp Grinder was fine and I would give it a 3 1/2. The chili dog was kind of burned and dry, as was the bun. Sadly, the chili didn't even taste like chili. Ordered the food and waited and waited and waited....finally showed.....all I can think of is "DEAD ON ARRIVAL" I had a chicken sandwich for almost 12 bucks and it did not include fries. Ordered a water to drink so I guess you only get one glass of water...since I could not even scare up our waitress to get a refill. Even when the expediter for the food was bombs away here is the food and off she went.....could not even get a word in. Hate to say it but the only consistent thing I have ever experienced at the three locations I have been at is horrible service for overpriced food. I am sorry but three strikes and I am OUT of there. Folks, treat yourselves, don't cheat yourselves. During our last visit, the chefs were firing on all cylinders! There was quite a crowd, but surprisingly we didn't have to wait more than five minutes for an outdoor spot!! She had the chili dog, and it was heaven on a bun. Too often, Coneys, chili dogs, etc from other restaurants verge on the side of salt licks, but not these; Long Doggers offers their 'dogs with a bold and popping aggressive flavor that has your taste buds the 'Long Doggers Line Dance'! I had the mushroom and Swiss cheese burger. By far, the best burger I've come across since moving to Florida; hands down, bar none. It was cooked just the way I asked for, the patties were juicy but not to the point of sloppy, and the flavors melded to form one beautiful combination. Long doggers is perfect for after a day out at the beach. This location was beautifully done. There is indoor seating, but also a lovely outdoor area with plenty of seating. They have a good beer list, and their wings are awesome. Food is decent . I got their tacos, and they were good- I just didn't think there was enough chicken. I loved that it came with the mango salsa, but it was super watery which was a disappointment- reminded me of canned mango. The choices on the menu are so similar and not many. They no longer have their amazing homemade chips, no longer have any kind of pasta. The food is good, I don't recommend getting the tots appetizer, they should take that off the menu or make it better. Other than the tots, the food is excellent. The outside is very hole-in-the-wall but it's actually a cute setup. There's outdoor seating where they also have some items you can purchase. Inside is kinda small but not to the point where it feels crowded. They have a nice little bar in the front. We went on Wednesday during happy hour where they had 2 for 1 wine, $2.50 beers, & some other drink specials. They also had some good happy hour food options. This is my favorite family restaurant in all of Melbourne county. Regardless of proximity to the house, we are always able to get a table and have a great meal without any judgement. This is particularly important with 3 kids 6 and under. I'm particularly fond of how they allow the kids to get their dessert at the end of the meal. The food has a definite local feel and is consistently appetizing with plenty of choice. The live music in the evening is entertaining and the 50/50 indoor/outdoor seating sets a good atmosphere. The staff were all very attentive and sweet and made sure were taken care of then whole visit. I tried the burger and my brother did the chili dog. My burger was cooked medium well to order, perfect toasted bun and crisp vegs. It can with slaw which was a great change from the typical fries most places offer. My brother's dog was also delicious with just the right amount of cheese, onion, and chili. How waffle fries hit the spot and a nice compliment to the dog. Oh my was long doggers a great place. From the food to the great service everything was well enjoyed. At Long Doggers one sits themselves and then they are soon greeted by their amazing staff. We were greeted and served by Dawn whom is arguably the best server ever. Dawn was overwhelmed by tables and still made each of her guests happy she never left a cup empty and was great with suggesting the specials. We ordered twice the loaded chips to which were house made and quite tasty. The Hawaiian burger was a touch overcooked so note to self order it medium next time. Although overcooked the burger was still very tasty. The summer salad with shrimp left bathe plate lockable clean. One could easily argue that many trips to this place are on the agenda for so much was desirable on their menu. Finally the child's portion of chicken nuggets was plentiful and better priced then McDonalds. The chicken was real breast meat and tasted very good.
