She was running late due to the traffic going up to Long Island and they still made sure she was able to have the whole experience that she booked for. We ended up doing our private wine tasting, and it came with a selection of food that included salad sandwiches different meats. And to me everything was definitely tasty. But also speaking to the grounds of the winery you can tell that the place is well kept. There was so many different places to take pictures. The outdoor seating was also a great touch just for you to enjoy a nice summary day. They also did have nonalcoholic options which I feel like was a great touch so people that don't drink and also enjoy in the experience as well. Lastly, they had an abundant amount of parking. But I would definitely say if you're looking for something different to do in New York I would suggest checking out this winery.

We should've known that they only serve pizza on the weekends (fri-sun to be exact). Was really looking forward to the funghi pizza. Oh wells, next time. We ended up ordering the red & white/rose flight. We didn't like anything from the white/rose flight. My hubbie liked the red blend only from the red flight. After the flight, I was interested to try whether their 2015 merlot was more full body than their 2017 on their flight. It definitely was and was my favorite. It was good for a glass but quite steep for a bottle $50+. Being a bit of a wine snob, it taste more like in the $30 range. As for the snacks we ordered, we loved the Pate! It was sooooo good. It's very possible that it's the same one from whole foods but it was delicious. It was served with tiny toast and cracker. Yum! The garlic herb spread was good, like a more gourmet version of boursin (tad saltier). As for service, Chris took care of us. He was nice and came to check up on us time to time. There wasn't much guests that day but I'm sure it's similar on a busier day. It definitely felt more of a family run vineyard which I love unlike a big vineyard just trying to make money. Plus, Apollo their kitty resident is so cute. Overall, I recommend giving them a try if you're in the area for the weekend (because of the pizza option) and get their more 2015 merlot if you like more full body wines.

Ehh. My fiancé and…read morefamily did not like it here. First the set-up is terrible. You walk down some steps outside and have to wait to be seated. That's fine, but this is also how you exit. So you are constantly shuffling with people waiting to be seated and leaving. Also with these stairs, it is not wheelchair friendly. This also makes it difficult for families with a stroller as this vineyard is kid friendly. Now the wine. We each got a "mystery flight." We were given 4 different wines and we had to figure out what it was. If we got them all correct, the flight is free. We didn't them all correct at all. This concept itself is fun and definitely creates for good conversation as everyone puts their input into their guesses. We weren't a fan of the wines either. We just didn't think they tasted good. There is some food offerings here, but we didn't get any. We agreed that we wouldn't return here. One and done.

The vineyard has grown over the years with a new tasting room having been built including a patio and outdoor seating area. There is a good selection of wine with most having won awards for taste and quality. This is a family run business and one of the family is usually present for any questions. Joining the Wine Club is also an option for receiving a regular selection of wines throughout the year and the potential for discounts on purchases. The pictures that may be attached to this review are many years old from a previous post/review and are of the old building/tasting room. I choose not to remove them for nostalgia purposes. You will be able to see how the vineyard has grown over the years.

Their reds are outstanding and you can't believe this wine is coming from Long Island, you would swear it's coming from Italy. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt relaxed but still very special. The view from the tasting area is incredible, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy the moment. My future sister in law and future brother in law enjoyed their red wine. We had a great time and would happily return!

Courtney and John are always so hospitable when we visit. They go out of their way to make each visit memorable. At this point, they feel like extended family. I love the Mexican heritage of the vineyard, the Mexican food brings some much needed shaking up to that part of long island and offers a chance for people to experience some wonderful culture while having some great wine. Too many North Fork wineries serve you the wine and tell you what you're supposed to be tasting. Lemon this, plumb this, notes of whatever. Rex simply makes conversation about his growing procedures and the amount of care that he takes to grow the grapes. I'd definitely agree with the other Yelp reviewer about the fascinating skill of Bio-dynamics! I never realized how much work goes into tending to a crop. One phrase that stuck with me was when Rex said that you're tasting Long Island in these wines. And, you are. The wines and conversation were interesting. The Rose was more dark and not a traditional Rose. Every other wine was red, delicious and rich not only in flavor but in history. Looking forward to the warmer weather when we can go back out with friends and family and sit outside on the deck and share the experience.

We also got a Mediterranean app that consisted of Taziki, hummus, toasted, pita and olives. I haven't been here in years and asked about the horses that used to be here. I was sad that they are no longer here. That was the only thing missing today. This is definitely a great place to come with a group of people to enjoy your day out.
