Food and service are good. The setting is typical fast seafood. So, very blah. Maybe if it looked different it would be better. Idk.

I had a couple of beers here and dinner. This seems like it could be a really nice place. There's a…read morelarge curved bar with a lot of stools and also tables. There were televisions playing different channels behind the bar. The beer selection is good, with most mainstream beers on tap along with some Irish and craft beers, including Bell's Two Hearted Ale. It's a pretty dark place, as you expect from an Irish pub. I came in at about 5:00 on a Friday afternoon. I was the only patron and no one else came in while I was there. I'm not sure why it was so quiet--maybe this is more of a late night spot. I was offered a pub menu with a few limited selections. I don't know if they have a bigger menu at other times of the day. I got fish and chips, which was pretty good and a fairly large portion for $10. I thought their TV selection was a little unusual. They were playing an episode of South Park with the volume very loud. I asked that it be turned down and the friendly bartender readily complied.

However, after I got my bill, I decided I wanted a 3rd drink... and the lady behind the bar said that she already closed my tab, therefor, I couldn't get another drink! I have been to hundreds of bars and I have never been told that I couldn't get another food item or drink item after closing my tab, so I felt a tiny bit insulted by that. Mischa J.

The weather was damp and overcast but we asked to sit outside as there was a nice breeze. I ordered appetizers calamari & the crab dip, the calamari was absolutely perfectly cooked with a nice coating. I love that they didn't just give you the calamari rings yiu also got tentacles. The crab dip was also delicious and real crab. Interestingly they served the crab dip with a pretzel. Also delicious. My daughter got the fish po' boy and it was a large portion with delicious french fries. The waiter was attentive. The view was amazing. We had a beautiful view of Cheat Lake. They have a bar downstairs and according to the hostess they also have bands play. I highly recommend this restaurant just keep in mind they are extremely busy on weekends and during season.

Inside, there's a fireplace that is pleasant to stand in front of (I was cold, so that's what I did), the bar looks like a tiki hut, and at the host stand, there's a tank with some turtles in it. It's a very relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. However, the food was mid. They've got burgers and pizza and sandwiches, which make up most of the menu, but they also have seafood and pasta dishes. I got the pulled pork sandwich, and it was super sweet. Way too sweet! And it was topped with shredded cheese that I could tell was pre-shredded and came from a bag. The fries that came with my sandwich were super seasoned. Way too seasoned! Everything about my meal was "way too." We also got the WV Wedge salad, which apparently is one of their specialties. It was aiight. Instead of bleu cheese like a typical wedge, this one came with both ranch and Italian dressing, plus pieces of steak. My kids enjoyed their grilled cheese sandwiches and cheeseburgers from the kids' menu. One thing that's interesting about the kids' menu here is that steak is an option! (Well, steak tips.) We visited Dockside in the offseason, but apparently this place gets extremely busy during the summer, when everyone wants to be on the lake.

Very disappointing experience. After a long drive from NJ to WV, I was looking forward to a nice…read morebrunch meal. I was in for an experience for sure! The menu lacked options I felt and they did not have a single side of potato besides sweet potato. We placed our order pretty quickly, but then that's when the long wait started. It look maybe an hour or more to finally get our food. It took so long that the table who sat after us got their food, finished it, paid, and left. Another table sat down and ordered drinks and food and decided to leave after waiting thirty minutes just for their drinks to come. Once the food arrived, it was low key cold. My waffles were very dense and the chicken was dry, tough, and flavorless. My dad was given the wrong side and asked for his waffle to be extra crispy which they weren't. My brother thought his biscuit was very hard to eat but enjoyed the flavor it had to offer. The best thing we got was the pretty fruit bowl which I have to note some of the fruit had dirt on them.

They disappeared quickly. The adults had adult beverages - one in particular (an apple cider mule) was quite delicious and unusual. Two of us ordered the rosemary chicken. Very healthy and tasty meal, but truly that meal could be split between people easily. You get two 6 oz breasts. The oven roasted potato medley was delicious. Another got the F&F steak. Steak Fries were awesome that came with it. We also got a side of rice, Mac n cheese and a spinach salad. All very tasty. We were too full for the desserts. But we did eye another customer receive the plate size cinnamon roll. It's looked yummy. Just couldn't do it this time. We will skip the appetizers next time to make room for dessert!

I'm upset about our service here! My hubby and I went in and the place was dead about 10 people. We…read moreseated ourselves at bar and bartender asked for our order, Tony PBR and I wanted tea but all she had was Bottled tea (which I hate) so I ordered a sprite...which is from the well, the Carbonated sprayer from tap and an extremely small 10oz cup (not a glass mason jar) and she charged me $2.50 it was smaller than a 12oz can...come on dudes...usually well soda is FREE or $1 but if you're charging $2.50 then at least make it a Mason Jar... I ordered 6 wings traditional with hot sauce and Bleu cheese for dipping. Hubby ordered Jalapeño Bacon Cheeseburger and it cost extra $2 for a side of fries. $10 for a burger with no automatic chips or fries for side....this is NUTS!!! You can spend same price or less anywhere else and get a side included PLUS our fries though Hand cut were burnt and fried in old oil. The wings were hot and good, very wet but I only got to eat one and 2 bites off a second one because I ran out of my "Little cup of Sprite". It was 3:45 and she got busy with peeps coming in for a 5pm pool tournament...and she gave them her undivided attention. She never refilled my SMALL SODA...another reason to put in larger glass LESS REFILLS needed. So with un eaten wings, burnt fries, small cup of sprite, and Tony's good burger that kept falling apart, bun was all mushy...it cost me $27.67... I never felt less appreciated in my life...I know she was busy but less chit chat with the regulars would be nice. There was three people in the kitchen so someone could have helped her. Her name was on the board...I didn't want to share it... I don't recommend but if you go, hope you get better service and better fries...value was over priced for sure today!!!
