Dear Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to Long John Silver's - Michigan Ave. After craving your food for over a year, I finally made the trip to this location and unfortunately had a very negative experience. The customer service I received both at the speaker box and at the window was disappointing. However, what concerned me most was the quality of the food. I spent approximately $25 on my meal and drink. Everything tasted as though it had been cooked in old oil and left sitting out. There were burnt pieces of fryer debris on both my fish and chicken. The corn was hard and dried out, and although the coleslaw tasted fine, it was warm. I attempted to eat the meal but ultimately had to throw it away due to the poor quality. It is one thing to experience unsatisfactory customer service, but serving food that is not fresh or properly prepared will certainly result in lost customers. I kept my receipt and would like to request a full refund for this purchase. Please let me know the next steps required to resolve this matter. I look forward to your prompt response. Stopped by here the other day with my family. I had been craving Long John Silver's. This was my first job as a kid so I have a fondness for the nostalgia. We were in the area at Freshfield's so I figured, why not. Let's start by, I was not expecting much for a chain restaurant. They were both KFC and LJS. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing and so friendly. I am extremely into cleanliness so it was great to see the employees constantly hand washing. Now the food. We told the cook how far we traveled to get the food and he did not disappoint. My food was so fresh it burnt me. I love hot and fresh food. My daughter got KFC and that also did not disappoint. I got the 3 pc fish meal with fries and hushpuppies. Do not sleep on this location for a quick bite and tip the staff if they provide a great experience. We enjoyed ours. read more

I feel like Long John silver's are a dying breed at least in our area and we definitely had to travel to get to this location and it was worth the drive. The beautiful soul that was working the register was so kind. She took our order and let us know it was going to be a little bit but when our order was ready she made sure we had everything we needed. Are fish and chicken that my mom ordered was hot and fresh and extremely tasty. As I mentioned before Long John silver's are few and far between and so this location was busy but we were well taken care of. We even ordered some additional fish to go because my mom absolutely loves the fish it was flavorful and just like we always remembered having growing up when we had them close by us. Next time we're in the area we will definitely be stopping by. . And don't forget to ring the bell on your way out to let him know how great the service is. read more

Stopped by a KFC/Long John Silver's location, only to find out they were completely out of Long John Silver's menu items. The employee at the registerwas dismissive and didn't seem to care. On top of that, employees were arguing loudly in the kitchen, making the whole experience even more unprofessional. I understand shortages happen, but a more courteous attitude and less cussing coming from the kitchen would have made a big difference. read more

served us raw chicken!!!! It was an honest mistake but this is crazy. The staff were nice and everything else we ordered was cooked throughly. They replaced the raw chicken with fully cooked chicken (thank god). I would rate1 star but this gets 2 stars due to honest worker who owned up to it and the fact that they replaced the item. Last month when we visited Orlando, my husband made a late evening run to this Long John Silver's store to pick up some fish and chips for himself. Unfortunately the store had little in product to sell him at that time so he came back to our Airbnb empty handed and disappointed. Yesterday afternoon while we were in town again, I decided to see if I could get him the fish and chips he craved. It didn't start out well as I sat at the drive thru order speaker for a few minutes. A voice over the speaker finally welcomed me to LJS and apologized for the wait. I asked about the fish and chips since I've never been to LJS as I don't eat fish. The cashier/order taker was very helpful. She quickly guided me to figure out what to order. My order was ready quickly. She thanked me and I thanked her for helping me. I see promotional ads on TV and get coupons for LJS but THIS LOCATION doesn't honor any of these discounts. You'll be lucky to find this location open during the posted business hours! It's a joke. Badly managed with an independent franchise owner. Many reviews tell of how they cheat drive-thru customers... be sure to check your order at the drive-thru window before pulling forward! On top of all these shortcomings, the staff is frequently rude and non-responsive. Amazingly though, if you can get your order with or without issues, the fish is top quality and delicious. I know it's my fault for not checking but the person running the drive through was so nice I just assumed she gave me everything. My wife's order of 1pc fish with shrimp had no shrimp and neither of us got our extra fish. Stopped here after work for a Friday night dinner treat. The place was busy inside and outside in the drive thru. I ordered two 2 piece fish plank dinners with potato wedges, hush puppies and coleslaw. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The food was prepared quickly. When I got home, my husband and I finally got to eat our dinner. It was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked as well as the hush puppies and potatoes. The coleslaw tasted fresh and yummy. This is the first time that I have eaten my entire meal without covering it in malt vinegar or ketchup. And I enjoyed every bite!! Good job, Long John Silver's. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this Long John Silver's earlier. I've been here several times, I guess I never reviewed it. Came here real late one night after a movie, and my wife and I went to go into the dining room to get some fish. Just to find out that the dining room is closed. So I went through the drive-through lane. We ordered two identical dinners of seafood and two side dishes. I had to wait a few minutes, I don't mind waiting for freshly prepared food. But what I was disappointed about was as they handed to me my food, they told me they were out of fries. And they substituted it with a biscuit. No I didn't mind a biscuit, but could I have had a choice in selecting another side? I guess this is what happens when you go to a fast food joint real late at night. Overall I do like Long John Silver's, I think your seafood is wonderful, for a fast food joint. But I did not appreciate the fact that I couldn't make a selection. read more

Oh man I rented a car and drove out to this location since there aren't a lotta LJSs in Orlando and I was at the Convention Center area. When I arrived around 4pm on a Sunday I was excited to get some fish. Unfortunately when I arrived they said they were out of fish, out of hush puppies and only have KFC stuff. I really love LJS food! The secret (as with all fast food places) is to ask for your food to be made fresh. There's nothing worse than getting fried food that's been sitting in the warmer for a while. The employees are hit or miss. Sometimes they're nice, most of the time they're mean & bitter. read more

I will NEVER waste my time going to this place again. The only reason I gave it one star is because they won't let me give it zero. Went in there yesterday to get a LJS fish sandwich. LJS menu page says they offer a fish sandwich. Not here they don't. Stood at the counter for five or ten minutes while three employees tried to figure out one customer's order. There weren't very many customers in the place. Maybe three or four in the dining room and one or two cars in the drive thru. A kind of short, chunky gal with a large tattoo on the inside of her right arm who seemed to be in charge, walked past me several times without even acknowledging me. I politely asked if they had fish sandwiches and she barely glanced at me then gave me a barely audible "nuh". Then, after I had decided that I'd just get a sandwich from the KFC menu instead, she starts waiting on some other people who had come in after me. At that point, I just walked out. After running a local race yesterday, my family and I came to this LJS. We have no LJS in our town, and I miss it (it's my fave fast food), so I was psyched! Unfortunately, my race finished at 9:00 - much too early for fish. Not realizing this until we pulled in to the parking lot, we sat in a parking space (in our car) and tried to come up with a plan - should we go to a local mall for an hour or so to blow some time? Should we scrap the idea and just go home? I really wanted some LJS, though! The whole time we were sitting there, a blond woman in jeans (or cropped jeans) would walk by the door and give us the stink eye. She may have just been wondering why we were there, but whatever. We left to get gas and to give me a chance to change out of my running clothes, then we googled around to see if there was another LJS we could go to that was on the way home. THis was the best option, so we drove back. At 10:30ish (I'd say :32), we got out of the car and tried the doors. Locked. We tried the other doors. Also locked. No lights on or anything! We kind of moseyed around outside for a few minutes, but no one ever came to unlock the doors, even though the sign said that lobby hours were 10:30 on Saturdays. So, sorry LJS, we left. You could have been the best LJS in town, but the stink eye lady never opened the door. We went to the one on JYP instead. read more
