I love the Cracker Barrell. They have had their highs and their lows but as long as they offer the summer camfire chicken I am going to be there. Its the best paired with the smores dessert. We always have great service here and even with the updates look which I am not a huge fan of I am happy the food has returned to normal. For awhile they were trying their hand at frozen and reheated and you could TELL. But that time is over. The broccoli casserole is back to its former fresh glory. I appriciate they listened to the public and fixed it. The look might be new but the store feels a bit more open and still have the cracker barrell feel. I have to be honest. I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in a very long time. The last time I was there, I had a Shania Twain moment, - it didn't impress me much. Recently, a friend of mine really wanted the breakfast so I thought OK. It's your favorite place. I'll give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. Was it the best breakfast I've ever had? Could I live on that hash brown casserole? 100% I really enjoyed the breakfast grandma sampler, because you got a piece of bacon and a choice of either sweet or salty ham (I love the sweet), and turkey sausage, two eggs anyway you want, two pancakes, which I added blueberries to, and that hash brown casserole that I still dream about frankly. For the price, you can't beat it! The service completely friendly. And browsing the old country store is just so much fun. It's almost like you want there to be a wait for a table so you can just shop. A large group of my family decided to grab a bite here as we had a guest from out of town. I was curious to see what the new decor looked like since everyone was making a fuss. I like it! Same cozy charm, just cleaner, brighter and neater. The tchotchkes that covered the walls are still there, just in a more organized fashion. I don't usually go to this location. The service was ok. We had missing item that took forever to come out and eventually the mgr came out and compensated us for it with many free cinnamon rolls so we were appeased . Food was good. I got my usual catfish and grits and it was yum. Coffee was piping hot and fresh. Pancakes were a bit rubbery this time but French toast was great. Being near the airport, this location is understandably very busy. So it's normal for there to be some decent wait times for food. Like any Cracker Barrel there's the friendly service and store to browse and familiar menu - however this location does not honor all current specials (for example the Meals for Two weekday meal special is not an option here). Also they seem to bring biscuits out with your order and not before which feels counterintuitive - the biscuits would help bide the time and satiate some hunger as you're waiting for the kitchen to catch up. Outside of those items, you'll find the location to meet your expectations as the menu is as good as any and despite not running chain wide specials the pricing is still reasonable. read more

I met with a business colleague while I was in town for personal travel in Florida. We decided to meet at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store since it was close to the Orlando Airport. This was my first meal after landing in town. Service from their entire staff was ALL SO NICE!! The gentleman at the host stand was especially nice. He welcomed me back, and was even attentive enough to seat me in a quiet corner for my meeting, while strategically placing me by an outlet so I can get some work done before my colleague arrived. Above and beyond service! My colleague and I both did the Build Your Own Homestyle Breakfast ($10.89) which comes with 2 Eggs, Biscuit n Gravy, a choice of Meat, and a choice of Side. My colleague had his with scrambled eggs and sausage patties. I had mine with sunny side ups and bacon. We both opted for the hashbrown casserole as our side. He had Coffee ($3.39) and I had a Southern Half n' Half ($3.49). The meal was a great portion relative to the pricing. The eggs and bacon were great, but I surprisingly didn't like the taste of the hashbrown casserole. I normally really like my potatoes so this was unusual. I also didn't like that the biscuit basket was a shared thing. And only one small thing of gravy. From a germs point of view and a gravy ratio point of view, I wasn't too satisfied and didn't eat much of it. The southern half n half had half tea half lemonade and it was really sweet. I should have specified for unsweetened tea with lemonade. Overall an affordable meal and kind staff, but the food was hit and miss. The restaurant is also connected to a big gift shop with a lot of random trinkets and things for purchase. I was traveling and I didn't want to end up lugging too much stuff around so I didn't really browse that area. read more

My sis and I stopped in for a weekend breakfast date. We were greeted as we approached the host stand and promptly seated. We encountered several staff members and all of them wore a smile, were approachable and kind. I really appreciate their hospitality. Our server Ms. Jerry treated us just like family and constantly checked in to see if we were good and wanted anything. The food was pretty good and came out shortly after ordering. My favorites were the pancakes and potato hash bites! They are both a 10/10 delicious! We both did create your own combos and I loved the variety of items to choose from. My catfish and grits were okay, but my eggs came out exactly how I wanted them. My sister had the steak tips and pancakes and seemed to really enjoy the food. We go to Cracker Barrel regularly and love it. I must say that this trip to this Cracker Barrel was a joy. It was our first time at a renovated CB and we really liked the appearance. It is a lot lighter in color, not so dreary and dark. It still has a lot of the charm of pre-renovations. Our server, Anica was such a delight. She greeted us with a happy attitude and a big smile. Our food came faster than I ever remember it coming. The eggs and French toast I ordered were perfectly cooked. I could tell the cooks spent time to get things just right. Over spiced and over dosed with salt They then brought me a slab of meat loaf which was also inedible. Tasteless, pasty and bad consistency. Manager then brought me two chicken breasts. My parents visited this location tonight. It is newly renovated and looks very modern inside. All of the cool stuff that was on the walls is gone and the restaurant has lost its country charm. It looks like every other place now. My mom asked the host why they did this and the guy LITERALLY responded "if you don't like it, eat somewhere else." WHAT?! Menu has changed a little bit too. Can't even lie, getting sick again even writing it out. Now we had not seen our waitress in awhile and by then we were going to cancel the meal. The hour I thought I had was up and it was time to go. Just when I'm getting my family together, the food comes out. I wouldve rather left it and paid for what we had a chance to consume, but we had to run and had no time to go back and fourth. From what I did see, after all this time, they served me grits that were clearly worn and warmed back up. I specfically asked for this to be left behind. My wife chose to still eat her food, she was very dissapointed. She decided to try the new campfire shrimp, and it was all campfire with 4 shrimp. I wish I had known sooner, but when leaving I was actually following behind the manager. I learned this because he went out to beg the homeless to leave the outside seating area. It was at 4pm- the restaurant was extremely slow so there's no reason why I had to ask for the same thing from my server 4 times, only to STILL not get what I needed. It was almost ODD how I asked for blackberry jam specifically four times and never received it. It was also odd how when I did ask for it, the server brought me three of the wrong sides. Ordered Juice, Coffee, Hashbrown Casarole, Eggs, bacon and pancakes. 30 to 40 mins went by, patiently waiting. Our server Joey has been checking up on us, assuring our food would be coming up soon. He even threw in some free biscuits and Orange juice for accommodating our wait. Finally received our food and it did not dissapoint. The Greeter, Jeffrey, didn't greet us with a good morning when we entered. After us, he served another family of color and didn't even acknowledge them. I told my wife that he didn't talk to them. Cracker Barrel will always have a special place in my heart! I think it's mostly due to nostalgia, and coming here ALL THE TIME as a kid. Not much has changed throughout the years... the gift shop is still full of little trinkets, the food is still decent and the place is still always packed! I recently stopped by today for an early breakfast and boy...did I come at the right time... since there was a wait starting with the party behind us. We were seated and greeted almost immediately from our server. She was super delightful.. and gave us such great recommendations! For food we decided on Grandpa's Fried Breakfast which came with eggs, country fried chicken, sausage and gravy biscuits and a side of my choice (which of course I had to get the hash brown casserole). We also got the Grandma's breakfast which came with pancakes, sugar ham, and two sides (since we asked to substitute for the eggs). The food was alright, nothing to write home about... but it served its purpose and we were super full. I also got a peach cobbler for a dessert and that's when things sort of fell a bit flat. Not the peach cobbler that I'm use to... that has a cake or biscuit consistency... but it was cooked peaches with biscuits like crackers. It didn't taste bad but I was a tad bit disappointed. Overall, Cracker Barrel is the place I would go to if my friends and family wanted to go there. The ambience is very family friendly and it literally always feel like you're traveling back in time and having a southern meal at Grandma's house lol. HORRIBLE service and food. Ive been to plenty of Cracker Barrel restaurants but this location was the worst experience we have ever had. We ended up with a waiter who was clearly inexperienced and overwhelmed by the busy crowd. We ordered our food immediately after being seated but still waited over an hour for our food. We had to ask for the bread basket that typically comes a few minutes after ordering. Then waited another hour for food. This was only after speaking to the waiter and managers about the delay. The manager informed us that the waiter forgot to put our order in. The manager basically shrugged it off and told us they were working it. No apology at all. Food finally arrives but food is cold, some items are missing, my daughter waited another 20 minutes on her main entree, hair was found in my other daughters grits, and I had to return the baked potato because it was dry and cold. At some point the mid level manager said his manager would comp the meal. When that time comes the manager brings a ticket over and reduced the check by $25. The ticket was well over $100 still. We were vocal about our dissatisfaction so the manager abruptly tells us fine he will comp the entire ticket and storms off never returning to the table to inform us it was done. Bad service, bad food, bad manager. STAY AWAY! read more

First off the order host that greeted you has the worst attitude I've ever seen. I get sat down at a table. No silverware. The waiter comes over. I get a water and I was ready to order. I ordered chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn order was put in and was brought out within 3 to 5 minutes which I could appreciate quick service like that, but it was obvious that the chicken had been sitting in a warmer the gravy they put on top of it was like glue at when they brought me the food I still had no silverware no straw no lemon as I requested from the beginning and while the restaurant was kind of busy, it wasn't that busy that the host had to sit two people within an arms reach of my table. What's the Waitress promptly move them only to pissed off the host even more I didn't really want that big of a meal I was hoping to have something off their lunch menu, but there's only two items on their lunch menu. read more

Found out they had a new chef or cook or whatever. The bacon was so greasy and not crispy as I ordered so replaced with sausage. The sausage was bland and could only eat one piece. The other piece was not fully cooked. The hash brown casserole was greasy as well. The biscuit and gravy has no flavor to the gravy. The only redemption was our server. She was excellent but certainly cannot fault her for horrible food. We will no longer go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast but will go back for dinner as I do love their fried chicken. Since we only live 4 miles from here this is always a good place to grab food but this trip was one of the worst. Granted the food was excellent but my first plate that was brought out was no bueno I ordered moms French toast and when it arrived I went to put butter under the bread and there was no joke a piece of hair that was easily 15" long. I almost lost my appetite. When in was able to trackl down our waiter he was literally flabbergasted and said he would get it replaced asap. 20 minute later it showed up and was dropped off by a manager. He kindly asked if there was anything else and I didn't have the heart to tell him that at this point or wasnt even hungry anymore. My wife had been finished for some time and was ready to go.
