I came here for the first time today while I was waiting for my car to be serviced. I didn't have an appointment but was seen right away. I got French gel manicure and a jello pedicure special that comes with a 10 minute massage. I had Elaine and she did a pretty good job. My jello pedicure was really relaxing. She is a very good masseuse. My French gel manicure looks beautiful and Elaine really took her time making sure there were no air bubbles and even cleaned up the sides. I was pretty surprised to see that for two of my nails, the french looks a tad sloppy. It's not too noticeable. Overall, I had a pretty good experience. I'd definitely come back again. read more

I made a yelp account specifically to review this salon. I just moved to Brooklyn from Florida and heard from a neighbor that Long Nails was fantastic. I desperately needed an eyebrow wax and a pedicure so I went early this morning not really knowing how Brooklyn salons worked. I was expecting to be turned away and told that I needed an appointment but I was taken on the spot. I was absolutely blown away by the service. Right away the negativity from the technician was felt and that made me extremely uncomfortable! Thereafter she basically told me that she would not be able to complete the job and that it's either I come back another day to finish up or she'd start and another technician would finish. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I came in at 6:15 for a 6:15 gel manicure appointment. I was not seen until 7:10 and the manicure was done - completely - by 7:20. It is the most sloppiest manicure I have ever had. My nails weren't trimmed, my cuticles weren't trimmed, and the manicurist got polish all over my skin. I never washed my hands - she was literally painting over nail dust (is that a word?). After the final round of UV lighting I had to tell her that there was polish all over my skin, and she proceeded to file away the nails and CUT the polish off my skin. If she had actually taken some care when painting them this wouldn't have been an issue at all! And because she never trimmed my cuticles my nail beds just look really sloppy. I'm really frustrated - this place had great reviews but my manicure looks absolutely horrible. Oh and! They charged me more than what was quoted on the phone. So frustrated. read more
