I decided to try this place because the old location I went tried to overcharge me and left a sour taste. They had a sign in the window for $30 for a manicure and pedicure. Upon walking in, I noticed the place was immaculate and not a thing out of place. I was greeted and directed where to go. As I was getting a pedicure I was even given a bottle of water, which was a plus. They charged me an extra $7 for the callus remover and I thought they did a fairly good job. This was one of the fastest and nicest nail sets I've gotten in a long time. I used to go here back when David worked here and I am a fan of acrylic coffin shaped sets, but he no longer worked here so I was a bit nervous. However, I got Yang as my tech and she was such a sweetheart, and also did my entire set in just about an hour (which if you know usually takes like 2+). I've been coming to Hollywood nails for probably 2 years now and I've never had an issue with this establishment. They are so kind, friendly and considerate. Yang does my nails all the time and each time, I leave with a smile on my face. She is always honest and if I request a nail design or shape that wouldn't suit me, she always tells me that it wouldn't suit my hands and she says "we can try it anyway". She would do the set wonderfully and ultimately she'd end up right and I wouldn't like it, she gets super excited to redo the set in a way that it would look beautiful on my hands. This place is so calm and inviting, the whole staff greets you with a smile and a hello even if they're busy. Labeling this place as my go to spot would be an understatement. I had some time to kill before meeting a friend for dinner, and I decided that I REALLY should get my nails done for our family Christmas photo shoot the next day, so I took a chance and came here. It was about 5PM on a Thursday night, and there was zero wait time. Walked right in, picked my color and sat down at the first station by the front door. What I really loved was the hospitality! I was offered a cup of hot tea right away, which I happily took, and had very nice general conversation with my nail tech. She was very friendly and really took extra care with my cuticles and mentioned their 10 visit points card, which I wasn't aware of. I decided to do a gel manicure, since I really wanted to clean up my nails, keep them short, and look very natural. Filed to my desired shape, and even got a refill on my tea on my way out! My only comment was that I maybe for next time would ask to have the polish go a bit closer to the cuticle, because the nail growth became very obvious just a week later, and that drives me insane! They lasted more than the usual 2 weeks, which I was very please about! I will definitely hit this place up again around the same time to have the place to myself! read more

I am literally shaking from the horrible experience my daughter and I just had. We were so excited to spend time together and go get a manicure/pedicure... omggg!!! The girl I got was horrible and did a terrible job on my pedicure. The owner ended up doing my manicure... RUDE as could be. Yelling at us because I asked if she could please fix my pedicure. She refused and went crazy. She complained she had to stay later to do our nails. She should not have taken us then. They had an hour and fifteen minutes to do it. Extremely unprofessional!!! Her husband was amazing, he fixed my pedicure and apologized saying she was crazy and needed help!! Don't want anyone else to go through the same situation! Update: They also left a mark on my right eyebrow from the waxing. The wax wasn't hot enough, and they ended up taking off a layer of skin. Usually come here for a pedicure and waxing when Angel's next door is busy. They're ok, but they aren't gentle at all and the procedures are not as relaxing as I'd hope they'd be. This last time, they also used a cheese grater on my feet instead of the blade. It was uncomfortable, slightly painful in spots, and took so much longer than the blade does. She made comments about my feet during the pedicure (so rude), paid extra for a spa pedicure that left little to be desired (the person I was with got a basic pedicure and was done after me) and my gel manicure peeled off my nails and changed Color within 3 days. Lasted less than a regular manicure. I gave 2 stars since the other lady and male Owner seemed great and were skilled technicians compared to what I had. The lady my companion had was wonderful- gave a complimentary shoulder massage (I didn't get one) and did an excellent job. I gave two stars for them! I came in here for a mani/pedi, because I've gotten cards from this salon in my mailbox and thought it looked like a good deal. When I got in, a man started my manicure then asked me to wait in the pedicure chair. When he asked which service I would like I asked, "Your sign out front says the pedicure includes free paraffin, can I do that?" He said said yes, then asked which scent I would like and pointed to a list, I said I wanted lavender. A different technician started my pedicure, and I noticed that she was doing a lot of massage and lotions for a regular pedicure. I asked if it was all included and she said yes. When she rang me up, of course, my $25 service was almost $50. The first guy had apparently told her that I was getting the "lavender deluxe spa pedicure" so that is why she told me everything she was doing was included. She called him over and he tried to tell me that I asked for that service, which I absolutely did not. At that point, they were disagreeing with each other and it was obvious that this situation was not the woman's fault at all. I didn't want to continue to argue or put anyone in a bad position since the technician had done the service after all, so I just said fine I'll pay the $50. No one even offered me a discount for the misunderstanding. This kind of bait and switch is incredibly disrespectful and I will not be coming back here. read more

Might be the worst sns and pedicure I've ever gotten- was in the place for 3 hours by the time they finished "fixing " the messed up job on my nails. Two of my nails are bare (no sns) on the tips because they had to refile them 3 times. I'm sure they will be cracked within a day - going away so I don't even have time to deal with it. Went here to get the SNS powder dip. Before going under the dryer they were very bumpy and looked banged up, but it bought maybe when they were dry they would smooth out. They did not but I had to leave. I went back the following day asking if they could smooth them out and the lady laughed in my face as she was "fixing them" for me. She ended by slopping on a top coat that ran all over my fingers. They look even worse than they did yesterday when I left. I would not recommend this to anyone. It is also not cheap, she told me $35 and then ran my card for $40. read more
