I called this company to come to our home because we had spiders (I know, spiders are good, but these were black widows). Instead of selling me a costly service (which i was more than ready to pay for), he talked me into buying a $19.99 product from Amazon and spraying with that product first. He said he would keep a ticket open for me, and if it didn't work, he would come back out and do the other service. He did not charge for coming to our home. I have the product on order, and I should have it tonight and will see how it works. The main reason I am writing this review is because I was desperate for something to work and would have paid whatever I needed to pay. I cannot remember the last time that someone turned an opportunity like this down, and he did it because he didn't want me to pay a lot of money when there was a cheaper option. There are so many companies that just want to sell and make some money. If is so refreshing to see someone so honest. I will use them any time a need arises, and as a thank you, I want to recommend them to as many people as I can. I know they will continue to do well because they do the right thing! read more

We were out doing a job in Miami and I got a call from M who was watching my place that there was a pest problem. No problem, asked M to find somebody to take care of the situation and she called Long Point Pest Control. They came to spray. About a week later M told me that the problem hadn't been taken care of. Unfortunately, I was stuck out in a stakeout in Miami and couldn't do anything about the situation. I told M to just drop a few bug bombs. Once I came back from the mission, successful btw, but only by the hair of my chin, the problem had been cleared up. M said once she bombed the place and cleared things out, it all cleaned up. Long Point called me to schedule another appointment and I told them about my concern. They deflected all responsibility, tried to blame it on me, and the final straw was their denial of culpability by saying I hadn't called to complain to them. Long Point Pest Control makes promises they can't keep and they will waste your time with no remorse. We spent thousands of dollars fixing our termite problem 5-6 years ago, but did not renew our insurance. We had them come by a few months ago and they found no issues or termites. I called to start the insurance again and they told us they would do it if we paid $1000+ of back pay for the years we missed of insurance but they had to come out again and check for termites which we agreed to. They again found nothing on the inspection, but went back on their word and will not give us insurance. It was ridiculous to pay $1000+ dollars to "catch up" when there are currently no issues, then to waste our time to have an inspector come by, all on top of them going back on their word. I understand sometimes folks may have service difficulties on occasion but some of the Yelp reviews left for this business and the folks leaving don't pass the smell test. Anyhow, we've been using Long Point Pest Control for 7+ years in the Memorial area of Houston. They've been pro-active in appointment scheduling for our quarterly service and they're dependable in keeping their service times/windows. The techs I've met have always been helpful and readily give advice about DIY steps we can take to keep our house free of pests. They've also helped identify critters when we find intruders. They must be doing something right because they've been serving Houston for several decades. We happily endorse their services. read more

We've been using Long Point Pest Control for years now. They treated our old house, performed the termite inspection on our new house, and still do our yearly treatments. We don't ever see bugs. Their services worked great for both of houses. Also (important stuff for us), they are considerate of areas where our kids play (the spray is safe after it dries anyway) AND the spray they use doesn't kill lizards and frogs which we like to have around. read more

I just had a fantastic experience with Ed Gregorich from Long Point Pest Control. Took him 1 second to tell me that the bugs I had collected were flying ants - not termites. For free, he took the time to inspect the house and yard. He brought in samples of destructive critters for me to look out for. I tried to give him some money for his time and he refused twice. Used them last year for rodent removal in our attic. Had to call again as the problem has not been solved. They showed up without a ladder. I was told that someone could bring a ladder in 45 minutes. Very frustrating as they place no value on my time. I asked that the manager call me immediately. No apologies made. Just a very circular conversation. Long Point Pest Control doesn't value my time, they are unable to apologize or take responsibility....it was clear they they could care less about my business. But they are very good at making excuses. She actually could not admit that a ladder is necessary for rodent removal from an attic. You won't be able to get rid of them unless you can find their entry point, right? I will never use them again. Long Point Pest control has been our exterminator for years. Very professional! I first used them at a house I was renting. When we moved in we discovered there was a serious roach problem. I was referred to Long Point by a neighbor. They came out - on time - and solved the roach problem. Very disappointed w their service. Called to get wasp treatment. Needing calking around door at point of wasp entry inside house. Asked if they provided this service, and was confirmed TWICE. I did not simply want sprayed and entry point not calked over. Of course, the technician who went to house denied they provided such a service. Called the office and told person who booked service no longer present and they did "pest " control not handyman services. I pointed out that on their web site they list wasps under lists of pests and they do the job, as needed. She was a complete smart aleck. Apparently, this company doesn't care what the person promises that books the business nor to have someone make it right subsequently. read more
