I looked for a company to remove and treat the affected issues. I could see two areas when they came out they found one more. We assume it was raccoons not in the attic nor crawl space. First time having this issue but it's been resolved. I am a bit concerned since it rained last night post cleanup and treatment. I'm hopeful it solves the issue and I won't need to address again. There are no pictures post cleanup. I documented photos of what I saw to get an idea if I was calling the right company to handle.

He provided a competitive quote with a realistic warranty and had a handout to back that up, with a clearly outlined and communicated plan from the get-go for how they might address any issues that come up along the way. From the time we signed on, communication was clear and prompt - the ladies at the office are honestly some of the nicest I've encountered in Houston, and every person who came out, from the person who did the pre-install visits to the team that came out to do the actual job, were courteous and explained very clearly what to expect. On the day of, they did a great job of protecting our living space (doors, walls, carpet, railings). Finally, they came out for a visit 2 weeks out to make sure everything looked good. Did multiple visits to set traps and check them, after a few weeks of no signs of rodent they came and cleaned out, disinfected, and replaced everything. They were great to work with, everyone was super nice and easy to communicate with. We are very happy with the results. I would say they are a little pricey but well worth it. Every update has required me to reach out first, and when I do, I often feel like I'm inconveniencing the staff simply by asking for information. Considering the significant investment I've made and the service expectations outlined during the sales process and in the agreement, I expected a much higher level of professionalism. Clear communication, confirmed appointment times, and follow through should be standard, not something the customer has to chase down. I do want to recognize Brandon because he has been great when it comes to the actual service. He has been professional, knowledgeable, and thorough while at my home. My frustration is not with him. It's with the overall communication and scheduling process. I simply wish the communication from the office was as proactive and reliable as the service Brandon provides. The work itself may ultimately resolve the issue, but the overall customer experience has been frustrating. Clients should not have to repeatedly follow up just to find out if a technician is coming. He also checked the attic and placed traps there as a precaution. After we emptied the garage, he returned to vacuum and disinfect all the affected areas. More recently, when we uncovered another area that needed attention, he promptly came back to clean and disinfect it as well. Inspected inside the house and did not see any sign of termite. Confirmed that the hole was termite related. Armando took the time to explain what's going on and what services they offer. We agreed to get it addressed right away and also bought the termite protection around the house. They will monitor the house if there are any active termites that starts eating the poison. We've been here in Rosharon TX since April 1, 2021 and had Hartz Pest Control cone out right away to treat the inside & outside of our home since they did our foundation warranty. Coming from Arizona, we know a little about critters & bugs, just of a little different nature. We have three pets, two large dogs (indoor / out door) and an indoor cat, so we need to make sure our entire home inside & out is protected from the Texas pest world. Being a newly built home we realize there is going to be a lot of disruption with the bug world under neigh the top surface of the grass & dirt around the house & our neighbors. So it nay take multiple spayings to get the "BUG World" under control around our new home to keep us protected. It's now been 2 months since our move in & Hartz Pest control has had to come out a second time "on their dime" for a second service outside to help with bug control for our dogs, but what a difference it has made. Both times the service folks have come out, they have been informative, helpful and very polite with info on the product used. The office staff has been great and helpful as well. As long as they keep up the great work and keep our home safe from the Texas critters..... Hartz Pest Control is for us. While I didn't/don't have an infestation, I was getting the giant loner roaches more often than I cared for and I just can't deal with that. I'm in a condo and with that comes a slightly different approach from the standard single family home. I can appreciate that the management company sprays the outside and other neighbors have their units treated but I don't want bugs thinking my home is a good place to go when that happens! When I first set up service, I had a hard time getting other companies to answer my calls in the first place. Many didn't offer different pricing for my smaller coverage (I don't need an outside perimeter/yard spray down, just the inside and doorways), and most wanted to schedule me for a few weeks out when it best fit their schedule but I needed a quicker solution. Hartz answered me on the first attempt, was able to tailor a plan suited to my condo living, and uses a pet-safe spray (after it dries). Best of all, they were able to send someone out the next business day. The tech was friendly and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need. The spray did have an orange tint but it cleared up as it dried. I haven't had the need to have them come back out between treatments but they do offer this at no extra charge. I'm very happy with the service from the tech and the responsiveness from the office staff, and I'm hoping this keeps up. read more

We found Hartz Pest Control from great reviews online and liked their honest team, and fair prices. I also liked their 1 month protection offer available for even a single service. Alan came to our house last year. He was professional, nice, knowledgable and after spraying, we didn't have any pests inside or outside! I was impressed with his thorough work. We did a single service at the time. Now, a little more than a year later, we have started to see roaches, and decided to work with Hartz Pest Control based upon the good results we experienced. We will be signing up for treatments four times a year to have continuous protection. I really appreciate that the representative with whom I spoke was honest with our needs, and this along with our good results from our last treatment, makes me feel good about signing up for year round treatment. Ask for Justinn, Pronounced Justeen, she will help you find the plan that works best for you. Then if you want the sweetest, most patient exterminator, ask for John. He'll tell you a funny joke and make sure he finds the problem. Then if the issue still keeps coming up because the little bastards are tenacious and relentless and will probably outlive the next world war, just call Justinn back and she will get John back out to do some ANIHALATION!! Our problem has ended up being a lot more severe than we originally thought, so we are going to have to be a lot more aggressive for a minute but once we get through the original waves of adults and babies, we'll be on track. We have used Hartz Pest Control Service for many years now. We have always been highly satisfied with their service, their employees and the safety of the products they use. The scheduling is wonderful, they set a date, send you an e-mail and if that doesn't work for you just notify them and they reschedule. The technicians that come to our home are professional, polite, courteous, and beyond respectful of my home and very knowledgeable about the insects and creatures they deal with. They are very mindful of our pets, as well. We have a contract service with Hartz, which keeps our house bug free year round. I had hartz come out to treat the house we are renting when we moved in. They were incredibly easy to work with and schedule, the price is reasonable, and since they came, there have only been a few large beetles that have come in from outside. Even so, they came back out and did a follow up treatment at no extra charge. They also were very informative about what they were using, how it would work, how long it would take, and what I could do to keep bugs away. And, the treatments they use are safe for pets--my dog had absolutely no reaction to the pesticide they used. We've used Hartz Pest Control for about 8 years, as long as we've been in Houston! The customer service over the phone is polite and incredibly helpful. A few times, even the owner was on the phone! The team they have is thorough and actually care about the customer. When our twins were born, Mike was careful about where he sprayed as the outside barriers were effective enough. We have the quarterly service and found their prices lower than other companies used by our neighbors. I completely recommend Hartz to anyone. I live in Katy Texas, recently we had a serious problem with termites. I called a few places to get quotes and ask a few simple questions before choosing a provider. Tom Collier answered all my questions in a way I knew that this was the company for me. Tom demonstrated a good understanding of what I was dealing with. Great service and great pricing. They are always on time for the appointment. They explain what they're doing and what it's for. They provide a free warranty that covers if you see any bugs between the quarterly sprays (which we've never had to use). Alan is who sprayed my house. Very knowledgeable guy and very friendly. We have used Hartz Pest Control for over 20 years and 3 different homes. They come out and service our home quarterly, the inside and out. They will also come out and service our home in between the quarterly service for no extra charge if we see an increase of bugs. They also offer a termite inspection, which we have had done in the past. They have always been on time and are very nice and through. The price is very reasonable and very rarely changes. Hartz is customer service based company! My experience with them has been that they are professional and interested in keeping the customer satisfied. They even guarantee their work (if you see any bugs in the house after they treat, they will always come back to treat again for free). We even had a rain storm blow through just after we sprayed for mosquitos and they are sending someone back to spray again, just in case. Clearly eager to leave for the day, he wanted to first check whether there was even a pest issue before deciding if treatment was necessary, rather than simply performing the service I was paying for. He also informed me that a complete service is typically performed every six months, which directly contradicts what the salesperson told me at the time of sign-up, when I was assured that complete service would be provided every two months. Despite this pattern of incomplete service, Natran has had no trouble charging my credit card every single month without fail. When I informed Natran that I would be out of town for an extended period, they refused to move my appointment up by even a couple of weeks, even though the result would be my home going over three months without any treatment at all, far beyond the standard service window I am paying for. Reading through other reviews, it is clear that missed appointments, poor communication, and unresponsive customer service are not isolated incidents but an ongoing pattern with this company. I regret choosing Natran and would strongly encourage anyone considering their services to look elsewhere.

In December 2025, we hired Southwest Exterminating to perform a full assessment of our home and seal any potential entry points for pests and rodents. Prior to their work, we had never had a bat inside our house or attic. The only activity we occasionally noticed was bats outside near our driveway around dusk, close to the siding of our home. As part of their service, Southwest installed a one-way exclusion cone that would allow any bats to exit but prevent them from re-entering. About 7 to 10 days later, a technician returned and removed the cone, indicating the exclusion process was complete. Just one day after the cone was removed, we discovered a bat flying around our living room. We assumed it was an isolated incident, removed it from the house, and moved on. Three days later, however, the situation became much more serious. We found a live bat crawling in the bathtub of our six-month-old son's bathroom, which is directly connected to his bedroom. We safely trapped it in a bucket. Approximately 15 minutes later, we found another live bat crawling across the floor of our two-year-old daughter's bedroom just as she was preparing for bed. We immediately contacted Southwest Exterminating. Their technician came to our home and took possession of both bats. At no point did anyone from the company advise us that the bats should be preserved and tested for rabies given their proximity to our young children and the fact that they had been inside our living spaces. To make matters worse, one of the captured bats reportedly fell off the technician's truck before it could be tested. Because only one bat remained available for testing, and due to the potential exposure risk to our family, we all had to undergo rabies vaccinations as a precaution. Anyone who has experienced this process understands the physical, emotional, and financial burden that comes with it. What is most disappointing is that Southwest Exterminating took absolutely no responsibility for what occurred. We hired them specifically to prevent bats from entering our home, yet immediately following their work, we experienced multiple bats inside areas occupied by our infant and toddler. The company's handling of the situation, including the failure to advise us about rabies testing and the mishandling of one of the bats, only made an already stressful situation worse. This was one of the most frustrating and upsetting experiences our family has ever faced as homeowners.
