Long Shot Brewery is my favorite brewery in Visalia. Not only do they have a great selection of beers, but their food menu is surprisingly varied and consistently well-executed. Prices are reasonable, and I always leave full and happy with what I've spent. I particularly enjoy their sours and pale ales. I prefer fruitier and seasonal specialties and there are always a few to choose from. The person up front who handles orders and drinks is always friendly and helpful. She has offered us samples when we can't decide between beers. Occasionally, a few food items might be out of stock, but everything I've tried so far has been delicious. *Brisket Pizza: fun twist on BBQ chicken pizza. The brisket is tender and moist and the BBQ sauce gives it a nice, sweet flavor. The tomatoes are juicy and sweet, and the crust has just a hint of wood-fired flavor with a perfect chewy texture. *Pesto Italian Pizza: my personal favorite. The salty sausage pairs nicely with the herby pesto and sweet tomatoes. The balsamic glaze adds just the right touch of acidity and sweetness and the drizzle of hot honey brings a bit of heat to balance it all out. *Margherita Pizza: still tasty thanks to the same great crust and sweet tomatoes, but I wished it had more toppings. A lot of crust and sauce ended up uncovered because the cheese layer wasn't thick or evenly spread. Good overall, but could have been better with a bit more cheese. *Soft Pretzel: I ordered this instead of the garlic bread since they were out and it turned out to be a great alternative. The beer cheese and honey mustard made for a perfect sweet and salty combination. The pretzel itself was well salted and had an ideal chewy texture. Long Shot Brewery is a great spot to start or end a night of bar hopping on Main Street. The food quality easily surpasses other bars in the area, making it the perfect place to grab a bite before the alcohol sets in or to wind down at the end of the night.

Great pizza definitely one of the best margheritas in Visalia! The beer is great and my wife loves the seltzers here.

    The "To-Go" beer.

We came here today to get "to go" beers . They can the beer right there and you can be on your way. The "to go" beer is a double (2 beers in one can).

Light beer chelada, I like the mix

Had a flight of 5 brews. All were excellent as is their pizza crust. Stumbled on this when others were too busy. Great find!

Great pizza and loved that they served wine and not just beer, so that I could enjoy along with my husband.

It's a small brown building with a small parking lot next to it. It's nice though that its open at 0630 so that the nightshift hospital staff can come here and decompress or send me off on my last day. First thing you notice about this place is the smell of urine from the bathrooms. You get use to it after a bit. As well as the "regulars" hanging out at the bar area. It's extremely small. Area for a pool table, some tables at the far end by the bathrooms, and a long bar counter. At least the tvs are nice and clear and big to watch games or sports as need be. There was a good 18 of us here. Prices are rediculously cheap. I'm glad they understand it's a dive bar and should thus be dive bar prices. A michelada was $4. A mimosa was $5. Bag of chips was $1. They have these sour candy shots for $4. The sour candy shots were really good. Michelada was simple. Bloody Mary mix with beer. But they were well made. I also had a crown royal apple with redbull that was really good. I don't remember how many drinks we went thru but it did the job and we were all feeling good. Customer service is good. Dude working behind the bar worked fast. I hear this place is pretty good when the sun is up, but has a pretty rough reputation at night with lots of shady people coming in at night. I definitely wouldn't come in here by my self even in the day time. But with a large group it's pretty cool. Nice and cheap. If you don't mind the urine smell and dilapidated look.

If you have kids with you, they're welcome too, which makes it an easy spot for everyone to enjoy. Their beer selection offers something for just about every palate, including seltzers, and they're more than happy to let you sample beers before making a decision. If you can't pick just one, a flight is the way to go. We tried several of their newer brews during our visit. The Citrus Trails Blood Orange Ale was refreshing and perfect for a warm day. It wasn't overly bitter, and I think an orange slice would make it even better. The Stay Golden was another new release that my husband really enjoyed, describing it as smooth, crisp, and refreshing. I also tried I've Seen Better Haze, which was flavorful without the overpowering bitterness that some IPAs have. The Salty Sessions was surprisingly light for an IPA and almost drank like a blonde ale, making it a great option if you're easing into hoppier beers. One thing I really like about Salty Walrus is that they offer more than just great beer. They host a run club, feature a different food truck most days, and even have an annual membership for frequent visitors. The membership includes one free pour every day along with discounts on additional pours and merchandise, making it a great value for regulars. Whether you're stopping in to watch a game, meet up with friends, or simply try some locally crafted beer, Salty Walrus is definitely worth a visit.

I ordered the French Dip, which should be a slam dunk for a pub-style spot, but it lacked the basic execution that makes that sandwich great. The Main Event: French Dip * The Bread: This was the biggest disappointment. It wasn't toasted, grilled, or even brushed with a little butter. It felt like an afterthought, leaving the texture of the sandwich completely uninspired. * The Meat: The tri-tip was sliced thin and seemed okay, though it had that "pre-cooked this morning" vibe rather than being fresh off the block. * The Au Jus: A French Dip lives and dies by the dip. Unfortunately, this was essentially bland beef broth--watery and lacking any deep, salty, or beefy complexity. The Silver Lining The meal wasn't a total wash, thanks to the sides. The fries arrived piping hot, crispy, and seasoned well. Paired with a side of their ranch, they were easily the best part of the plate. Final Verdict: If you're going for the atmosphere and a cold beer, it's a win. But if you're craving a high-quality sandwich, you might want to look elsewhere until they step up their bread game.

Notably the hourly fee was cheaper earlier in the day. We were given the password for the linked computer and a few tees. We had our own clubs so we didn't have to rent anything. There were multiple games available on the computer including capture the flag and golf pong. Unfortunately we kept getting kicked off from the account and it interfered with our game. The tees were also flimsy and 3/4 of our tees were bent and unable to stand up straight. The calibration also needed some work as there were times the ball moved without anyone swinging. The drinks were the best part of the experience. Everything was strong, alcohol and flavor wise. We weren't checked up on frequently so make sure to place everything at once. *Wings: we chose the mango habanero sauce and it packed some good heat. The meat was moist while the skin was on the softer side. Overall the tenderness and sweet sauce made it a good shareable. *Pretzel Sticks: the texture was good but there could have been a bit more salt and cheese to dip in. Our sticks also looked skinnier than the ones pictured. *Churros: came with vanilla ice cream. The churros were stiff and greasy. They tasted frozen and reheated. The ice cream was also on the harder side, almost freezer burnt. Bad ending to our meal. The drinks were probably my favorite downtown but the other aspects were greatly overpriced. The golfing was subpar, notably worse than the typical Top Golf experience. Especially with the upcharge for equipment, this was too expensive for a fun night out with friends.
