Bartender is super friendly! Helped us decide on drinks and even charged our phone. Priced pretty reasonably as well. Will come back!

It's a small brown building with a small parking lot next to it. It's nice though that its open at 0630 so that the nightshift hospital staff can come here and decompress or send me off on my last day. First thing you notice about this place is the smell of urine from the bathrooms. You get use to it after a bit. As well as the "regulars" hanging out at the bar area. It's extremely small. Area for a pool table, some tables at the far end by the bathrooms, and a long bar counter. At least the tvs are nice and clear and big to watch games or sports as need be. There was a good 18 of us here. Prices are rediculously cheap. I'm glad they understand it's a dive bar and should thus be dive bar prices. A michelada was $4. A mimosa was $5. Bag of chips was $1. They have these sour candy shots for $4. The sour candy shots were really good. Michelada was simple. Bloody Mary mix with beer. But they were well made. I also had a crown royal apple with redbull that was really good. I don't remember how many drinks we went thru but it did the job and we were all feeling good. Customer service is good. Dude working behind the bar worked fast. I hear this place is pretty good when the sun is up, but has a pretty rough reputation at night with lots of shady people coming in at night. I definitely wouldn't come in here by my self even in the day time. But with a large group it's pretty cool. Nice and cheap. If you don't mind the urine smell and dilapidated look.

Great as a date night spot or the casual evening out. The service was great, attentive and friendly. Ordering was quick and efficient. Drinks and appetizer came out quickly until we had to wait for our mains. Didn't time it as we were still enjoying our evening but we waited an extended amount of time. Needless to say we weren't the only ones waiting. With the wait aside we absolutely LOVED our mains! The Gnocchi in the pink gorgonzola sauce was amazing! The gnocchi were soft, pillowy, and cheesy. The sauce was creamy with a sweetness from the tomato sauce with a slight acidity. Highly recommended. The ravioli rustica was delicious. Perfectly cooked ravioli were stuffed with spinach and cheese and sauced with a creamy sweet pea puree. All topped with slivered almonds, which added a nice nuttiness to the dish. Needless to say we cleared the plates. Dessert was their special pistachio tort. A flourless pistachio cake topped with rich chocolate ganache and more crushed pistachios. Rich and decadent. We also ordered their Crème Brûlée. Creamy, smooth, with a slight sweetness. The burnt sugar was perfectly torched with a great crackle. Would order again. A great experience nonetheless. Will definitely add to our rotation for date nights.

If a restaurant is going to add that kind of charge, it should be clearly disclosed upfront before customers order or make reservations. Unfortunately, the experience did not come close to justifying the extra cost. The steaks were badly overcooked, the food was mediocre at best, and there were large flies throughout the restaurant, which made the meal even more unpleasant. I understand that Mother's Day is a busy day for restaurants, but being busy does not give a business a free pass to surprise customers with excessive charges or deliver poor food and service. The 20% surcharge felt unfair and left a very bad impression. I willnot return, and I would strongly recommend that customers check their bill carefully before paying. I finally got up the nerve to go in with a friend of mine on a Saturday night and while it wasn't jam packed, there was a good number of people there singing and laughing, plus they were doing karaoke! Since that first time in there, I've been back quite a few times and I've noticed a few things. 1) No one is going to let you sit alone for very long. Someone is going to come up to you and greet you and engage you in a conversation. 2) The men and women who hang out in Smokey's are some of the most wonderful people, very friendly! 3) The bartenders are some of the most welcoming and friendly people I've ever met. 4) Great selection and prices for the beer! The atmosphere is so laid back and relaxed, it's very quickly becoming my favorite place to go spend a few hours after work to just chill out and relax. Plus the taco truck right next door has amazing food! Great company, great beer, and great access to food makes this place so wonderful. I've truly never met nicer, more friendly people than I have here. Don't judge it for it's appearance, get to know the people inside. I don't regret coming here every day, the people make it so easy!

The return of O'doul's and the addition of a good bbq sander or two just might get it 5 Stars from me.
