Wow! A HUGE thank you to Grace and Jenny at the Longchamp store on Spring for helping me get two luggage tags customized same day. Grace and Jenny took the time to text me photos of all the available options and then we're able to get the tags customized with the bride and grooms initials same day. The Le Pliage bag is part of every working girl's wardrobe. I mean, if you look on any subway around 6PM, you'll probably find at least half of the women with some kind of Longchamp bag. I'm a fan of Longchamp because my Le Pliage bags are practically indestructible; It has carried my heavy laptop, a couple of notepads, high heels, and other crap that always makes its way into my purse. This review is based on the service repair for my large "PLANETE" tote. I went there prepared to pay to have them repair the handle (stitch it or replace it). There were all helpful, they looked at the bag, give me a receipt and even suggested to fix the corners. After 5-6 weeks they called me to pick it up. I told them friday afternoon and told them that I can't pick it up so I'll need it to be delivered. I received the bag monday...it was shipped through UPS EXPRESS. Now I call that customer service. Their bags may be beautiful, but they don't wear well. I bought a classic Longchamp bag 10 years ago. I hardly used the bag until this year. Much to my display, it started falling apart before my eyes. Even the leather started wearing down on the handle. My beautiful bag was more suitable for the Good Will pile than an elegant lunch. I brought my bag into the Longchamp store in SF. I must stress that the ladies and gentlemen there were wonderful. Today, I received a call from Cheryl at corporate headquarters in New Jersey telling me there was nothing they could do for me. They even refused to repair my handbag. Cheryl further explained that Longchamp bags only have a five-year warranty. When I told her I was very disappointed in their customer service or lack thereof, the lady couldn't care less. I'm in the health and beauty industry and travel extensively as a ambassador for my company. It's beyond me that a company wants such bad PR for their handbags! My advice: Don't buy a designer handbag that a company won't even guarantee for 5 years. Even Coach will offer a lifetime warranty on their handbags and will repair them beautifully if they need rehabbing. read more

- [ ] Worst Customer Service, Before heading to this location. I had called and ask if they had the bag I want. The person who answered the phone said yes we do we have 5 of them left. I told her great I will head over there now. As soon as I get there I see there short staffed the sales associates were assisting clients I was patience and waited. As soon as one of them because available I showed her I was looking for this bag. She looks at my phone and say we don't have it. And walks away. I stop her and tell her excuse me, I called before coming here and they don't me they had this bag, that's why I came. She like ok let me go check. She never came back. I ask another young lady and she had no problem getting me the bag that she was so fast that i didn't have to wait. She check me out. I noticed the bag was a little dirty. I ask her can you please get me a different one. This one is dirty. (Since it was on sale No exchange or refund) She's like sure no problem. She goes upstairs and come back down with a different one. I check it and it was perfect. As I'm follow her so she can put my bad in a shopping bag. Her co worker takes the bag and tells her to go upstairs. I hear when the young lady who was helping me told her wrap it for her, she's done. I wait for the co worker to wrap my bag with tissue paper and put it in a bag. And she starts ringing up the bag and I'm like I already paid for it. And she's look at me all weird. I told her I have a receipt. So she's hands me the bag just like that and I'm like can you wrap it. So she does and then before handling me the bag. She asks me if she can see my receipt. I look at her and tell her excuse me. She like can I see your receipt. (I had no problem showing her my receipt) the way she said it was my problem. Lack of education. She saw when I was being checked out by her co worker. She was so rude. I ended up showing her my receipt because again I didn't have nothing to hide. She made sure that it was the exact bag I paid for and everything. I took my bag and left! Never again. The store manager needs to hire people with education or at least train them have to assist clients. read more

I was wrapping up some last-minute Christmas shopping this afternoon and knew a certain someone liked Longchamp, the French retailer. I checked my iPhone and sure enough, their downtown outpost was only two blocks away. I walked briskly and went in - quite an intriguing store even if you aren't a fan. It's two stories and almost everything is on the upper floor. The store even has a brochure about their SoHo outpost and the theory behind the design. The sales staff was very sharp and rang up and wrapped my purchase. I walked out with everything done; and a few bucks still left in my pocket. Definitely a nice surprise and my guess is I'll be back. read more

Gorgeous bags in such a glamourous and huge store! The service here is really lacking though. When I walked in, there was absolutely no one to greet me. As I make my way upstairs to find the bag I wanted, there were 3 workers standing by the cashier (that's not even in use because you pay downstairs), and no one made the initiative to assist me. i never been inside a longchamp store before but this one had an interesting design for the stairwell. when i got into the store and went upstairs to look at the totes, i wasn't greeted and helped until i already decided what color and size i wanted, so all they had to do was a get me it and ring me up. but i admire their big selection on colors and sizes readily available at the store. read more

First of all I'd like to say that I left happier with my experience there than actually purchasing because Crystal was amazing. I would literally just go back just to purchase from her. She understood what I was looking for and gave me plenty of options. Anything I asked about she supplied with great information and sufficient detail about it. Beautiful, beautiful store. And beautiful, classic bags. You really can never go wrong with a Longchamp bag, as my mom taught me through example. And this is a fantastic store to go to. You can peruse the various styles and many, many colors they offer without obnoxious staffers hovering over you or pressuring you in any way. Sometimes the lack of attention can be off-putting, especially if you actually do need their help and no one is even in the same room as you. But once you've chosen your desired style and color (or more - its hard to resist buying one in every style, size and shade!), they quickly ring you up and off you go with a bag that will literally last you a lifetime. I went in for the Roseau croc tote. of course I couldn't make up my mind as to which color I wanted but the sales girl was more than helpful. I walked into this Longchamp a couple years back, when they happened to be having their semi-annual sale. The staff was very helpful and there was a large amount of inventory. Additionally, the store's architecture (namely the staircase) is absolutely beautiful in person. I love Longchamp bags, and regularly receive compliments on my purchases... They are usually very timeless looking and hold up nicely. I can't wait to go back to NYC and visit this Longchamp! read more

As everyone says, it's worth visiting the SoHo Longchamp simply for the space, which is beautiful. Of course their classic tote can be found in an array of colors, but don't over-look their thoughtfully designed small leather goods. It's hard to find a good wallet that has a place for everything, including a passport...and it's even harder to find one that looks good. Thankfully, Longchamp concluded a very long search for the perfect wallet. On top of it all, the wallet is looking better and better with age, which to me is the final and possibly most important test. read more

I associate Longchamp with France and my experience at the Spring Street store reflects every negative French stereotype the average American tourists hears. As a frequent vistor in France and Francophile, I have NEVER experienced anything in France like the rude and insulting experience I had in the NY store. This was simply awful customer service from staff on through the manager. I came to exchange a present. I was confronted with horrendous service. First I was studiously ignored. Then the three items I sought to exchange were taken from me, unwrapped and tossed to the back of the counter along with my gift receipt as if they were trash (so much for my care with the items). I was told to look around for exchanges or store credit but was ignored when I repeatedly asked how much the credit/exchange was worth. Then I was ignored when asking questions on the third floor about stock and future availability on items. When I was able to obtain assistance the salesperson told me they would not place any orders and would not call the Madison Ave. store to see if they had stock on the item I was interested in. Ultimately, the manager told me to leave hundreds of dollars in merchandise and come back another time for credit or refund but was unwilling to return my items to me or give me any receipt for the hundreds of dollars in items I was to leave with her. I was told "you have my word." The interpersonal interaction I associate with shopping in boutiques and department stores in France is totally lacking here but when there is eventually contact with the staff it is terrible. The experience from beginning to end was degrading and insulting. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! read more
