    New York Strip 12 oz.

Bring me meat - here we are. Surprisingly not very busy for a Sunday afternoon. Bread & butter arrived hot & good as always. Tried Shrimp & Lobster Chowder, nice flavor but couldn't find the lobster. Entrees consisted of New York Strip - med rare. Came out as ordered, well seasoned and extremely tender. The other was Flo's Filet - med. Cooked as ordered, again well seasoned & tender. Can't say when the last time we had steaks this tender. Service was good, checked back with us occasionally & kept my drink glass full. Nice meal on a Sunday afternoon

Well, today you are going to see something different. The boys and one girl from the VA Creative Writing Group went to a national chain for a burger. Why? Two reasons. First, look at that photo. We've been looking at that photo for months now. One of our folks gets regular email advertisements from Longhorn Steakhouse, and that photo really does look good. Second, this burger was recently rated the best sit-down national chain hamburger by Tasting Table. That did it. We went, and we concur. A great burger. Half a pound of meat with all the fixins. Price? $9.99 at lunch. Our service was superb and amply rewarded [we also got the veterans discount]. The ambiance may be cookie-cutter, but it is inviting and a pleasant atmosphere. We normally do not go to any national chains, but this one meal and this one place are highly recommended. Just click on the following YouTube video link and see why we enjoyed it so much. https://youtu.be/pkwJ_WLQlc8?si=UHcmW02pa67gITHE

Outlaw steak with broccoli and shrimp and Lobster chowder

I hadn't been to Longhorn Steakhouse in years, but I forgot I signed up for their eClub. So, I got the opportunity to get a Free Appetizer up $14.79 when I ordered an Adult Dinner Entree. I ordered To Go Ahead for 7:30pm. The coupon code wouldn't work for me online, so I called to complete the order. The person on the phone was very patient and got it through. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye ($32.79) Medium-rare with broccoli and a Bowl of Shrimp and Lobster Chowder (+$2.99) and the Chicken Wings appetizer with Buffalo sauce and Blue cheese on the side ($12.99). I did arrive about 15 min late, parked in a numbered spot, confirmed on the link given, and waited. About less than 10 min, they arrived with my bag of food. I double checked everything and it was all there. I was very happy and tried the broccoli, which was steamed perfectly. When I got home, the food was still warm, but I heated up the wings a bit more so they were nice and hot, but I ate the chowder as is. The chowder was warm, but that's ok. I don't know how the chowder is supposed to taste, but I did find it runny and bland. The chowder had a lot of pieces though. The wings were well seasoned, a tad salty, but overall good flavor. The Outlaw Ribeye was cooked Medium-rare and well seasoned. Overall, I was satisfied with my purchase and will order again, but would modify a different 2nd side. Ordering To Go was almost seamless, and I hope to order online for the convenience.

Craving a Cheeseburger and have a gift card so I chose LongHorn Steakhouse. The worst burger I have ever had. Even the worst one I had at Disneyland was better. McDonald's has a much better double quarter pound, which was the size of theirs 1/2 lb. I asked for pink, which the nice waiter said medium. When it came it was well done, burnt at the tips, the bottom bun was as hard as ever, and the lettuce was old and wilted. Just plain nasty. No more burgers for me at that location.

    brown lettuce

I went here on 1/24 for takeout and was disappointed a $75.00 order included two welted brown salads. i can't imagine how the entree salads look like. I only went to this place to use a gift card i been holding on for too long. Had I not had the gift card i would have gone to my regular place "Pelicans" who salad portions are bigger and with better ranch. Entrees met the expectations, but it will be a damn loooooonnngggg time before I every return to this restaurant to eat. Do better LH

Bar with trophy long horn mount. Nice choice of beverages.

The restaurant design and decor is beautiful and upscale. The ambiance is welcoming and quiet enough for conversations . The prices are reasonable abd the restaurant is staffed appropriately. They offer bordelaise sauce Bordelaise sauce (https://share.google/rN4AVhU0geDHY8ADY ) which I haven't seen in a restaurant in decades! I am impressed and delighted! Friendly, professional staff. Great looking food that is tasty. It is in a popular mall in a separate building. Plenty of parking.

This is bad. I order 2 southwest chicken tortilla soup and they don't have tortilla and the soup mot even fill only half bowl why? Is this how you guys pack Togo now ?

Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

Yes it's divey, but in a way that taste buds don't care about. If you recall Hell or High Water, this feels like that cafe, but less sassy a wait staff. Decor is lots of old wood, leather booths, neon signs. It sort of feels like Old Vegas. Old, but not run down, classy in it's age. Drinks are dive bar classics Cape Cod on a menu, Sutter Home and Cavit. LIIT, lmeon drop, tequila sunrise, what are we 12 now. I actually like a bohemia, shiner, guiness (not on tap) with my dinner. Their early week special is a 14oz boneless strip which is beefy and juicy, don't over cook this as it will toughen up. Their late week prime rib is thick, tender and wall to wall pink. They do have horseradish if you ask. Their ribeyes are on the smaller side, but very good quality. They have their own butcher and not a chef who does the butchery. The baked potat is generous sized and well accompanied. Prices are decent, quality is good and portions are excellent. Feels more midwest than southwest in vibe, but the Greek immigrant influence is interesting as I'm curious how Bakalava and dolmas and a shish kabob might taste. The Ham & cheese and grilled cheese just seem out of place, but not more than seeing Milk on the menu.....with sizes offered. My ideal meal here is the late week speciall prime rib, with fried shimp and chopped green chilis. Fried mozzarella sticks and a shrimp cocktail to start. They let you order cold center which is how I like my porterhouse and ribeyes. The salads don't come with tomatoes, but their burgers do, weird. Lots of Locals, but not a locals only joint, plenty of travelers being pointed this way makes this feel a little like a classy TRH.

After several locals recommended Antiquity, we quickly learned why reservations are so hard to come by. We couldn't secure a table on our actual anniversary, but managed to get one a couple of nights later, and it was well worth the wait. From the outside, Antiquity is understated. Step inside, however, and you're immediately welcomed into a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Albuquerque. Owner Steve, who has been running the restaurant for nearly three decades, greeted us personally. His passion for hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. While we waited briefly for our table, he took time to learn about us, ask what types of food we enjoy, and offer thoughtful menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is charming and authentic, with an old-world steakhouse feel that perfectly complements the historic New Mexico setting. Many of the tables and booths are arranged to create private, intimate dining spaces, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. We were touched when Steve seated us at what he called the "anniversary table," complete with a small scattering of heart confetti, despite our celebration having technically passed. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than relying on a single server, the entire staff worked seamlessly together. Water glasses were never less than half full, empty plates disappeared almost instantly, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a memorable experience. Even the kitchen staff engaged warmly with diners, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it exceeded every expectation. We started with oysters on the half shell, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I upgraded to the special salad, a beautiful combination of greens, apples, strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, bacon, and a creamy mini brie, all brought together with a delicious pear vinaigrette. For our entrée, we chose the Châteaubriand for two. It was expertly prepared, carved tableside, and cooked perfectly. Every recommendation we received was spot-on, and the meal was so impressive that before leaving, I made another reservation for later that week just so I could return and try more of the menu before our trip ended. Antiquity offers beer and wine rather than a full bar, which was perfectly fine for us and fit the restaurant's classic, understated character. This is not an inexpensive dinner, nor should it be. What you're paying for is exceptional food, genuine hospitality, flawless service, and an atmosphere that is increasingly difficult to find. Antiquity doesn't simply serve dinner, it creates an experience. If you're visiting Albuquerque and looking for a memorable meal, especially for a special occasion, this restaurant deserves a spot at the very top of your list.

No, so don't expect change for the sake of patrons' convenience. At least the person who answers the phone, and frankly, that's more than you get from most restaurants these days. Very unassuming on the outside. Inside, you can tell it's an established place that's been around for a while. Arrived a few minutes early for our celebratory reservation and were seated right away in a quiet, private book surrounded by art and dim lighting. For starters, my gumbo was good, and his salad looked as good as it tasted. For entrees, husband got sucked in by the specials and ordered the schnitzel, which (to quote Shania) didn't impress me much. To clarify, there was nothing wrong with it, but I've had a lot of schnitzel, and it just failed to stand out. I kept to the classics with a filet mignon. To my surprise, it left the same impression. Again, absolutely nothing wrong with it - cooked well, quality cut, etc. - but I've had more memorable steaks at High Noon Saloon. *shrug* Highlight: The servers were exceptional. Lowlight: The sconce / light fixture over our table was in need of a dusting. Overall: A lovely evening to toast my guy's significant professional achievement. Would recommend if you find yourself stuck in the rut of bad service when dining out. Antiquity's dinner service will remind you how a night on the town is supposed to feel!

This also happened the first time we came to eat at social house a year ago, but it felt more pronounced this time. And the restaurant was not full. Probably a third full of patrons? We were seated at 6:45 and our food did not arrive until 830. Quite the wait if you ask me. Finally, the kitchen was having some sort of smoke issue. If you've never been in an establishment where the grease smell and smoke is visibly accumulating in the air, you know it's quite distracting from a dining experience. It was so smoky inside. I actually caught myself blinking my eyes to see if it was just my vision being blurry or if it was the room. Our food was fine, the pork belly was a standout. Otherwise, I'm not sure I need to come here again. I wish that they would get a better handle on service timing, because that seems to be an ongoing issue.
