Today, I placed an online order at 3:13 PM to be picked up at 3:50 PM. Unfortunately, the order was not ready until 4:07 PM - and it was a) poor, b) not correct, and c) missing items. I had ordered my steak to be medium rare - it was well done (no pink whatsoever.) The baked potato was severely overcooked. As opposed to being white and fluffy inside, it was a dark yellow and clumpy. I requested butter, cheese, and bacon bits to go with the potato - all three items were placed in the small cup - so what I got was a melted butter sauce mixed with a couple of crumbles of cheddar cheese and a few bacon bits. The second side for my steak/chicken order (steakhouse mac and cheese) which was a $1.99 up charge - totally left out of the order, despite the receipt being accurate. (Did not receive this item.) I also ordered a prime rib sandwich with no onions - yet it was a) swimming with onions making it inedible to the person it was meant for. For a fairly simple order during a time of the day that isn't very busy, it's amazing how many things LongHorn got wrong. This place definitely went down hill. Today I order the 7 pepper steak salad medium and the steak was inedible I pulled it off my salad. Not only was the steak ice cold I'm convinced it was someone's leftovers from the fridge. It was cooked consistently at all. Some parts were cooked well and some parts had red raw spots in it. I've been coming here for years, before COVID, and a couple times since. I've never had so many issues with one meal anywhere before, let alone this place... first off my bartender served me my beer in a bottle and didn't ask if I wanted a glass. I realize that a lot of places do this, that doesn't mean that it's proper. Second, my French onion soup was barely warm, I'm not sure how they were able to melt the cheese with it being this temperature. My bartender gladly took it back to the kitchen so they could heat it up. Several minutes later my dinner arrives before my soup. My asparagus was soggy and pale olive green in color. My steak, shrimp, and rice was just about as warm as my first order of soup was. Minutes after my dinner arrived my reheated soup appears. My bartender asked if everything was okay and I said no, everything is warm nothing is hot. He said that he was sorry to hear that and walked away. I ate my reheated soup and Luke warm dinner (I didn't eat the asparagus). After my plate was cleared and all of the evidence destroyed, a manager appears. She introduced herself and said that she heard that I wasn't happy with my meal. I said that's true, everything was barely warm and my asparagus looked like it was cooked for three days. She asked if I would like anything remade and I said no, I ate the dinner. She than asked if I wanted another drink or dessert. I accepted a piece of cheesecake to go. I then got my bill and noticed that the asparagus was an up charge and was still on my bill. In fact nothing was removed or discounted. This was not an immediate surprise since discounts were not offered or discussed by the manager. I paid my bill, tipping the bartender who didn't act when I told him that my dinner was not hot, and left. Upon arriving home I began to think about my overall experience. I would have at least taken the asparagus off of the bill since it was inedible and a separate line item on the bill. We probably will not visit the "LongHorn Steakhouse" on route 40 again. While I do enjoy their steaks (after I use my bread portion to soak off the butter that they put on after cooking), I was unhappy with our treatment. We waited outside in the cold for well over an hour for a table (we were told 20 minutes wait). Several parties that came after us were called in and seated so I decided to go in and check on our table. I was told that all these people all called in to reserve a seat. In my opinion, this should have been taken into consideration when we checked in. Finally, we left and went to Firebirds and thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful dinner WITHOUT even a 5 minute wait to get seated. read more

The rest was good (baked potato and brussel sprouts) but when I get food from a STEAKhouse I do expect the steak to be good. Very disappointing. I'm not much of a themer when it comes to my gastronomical experiences, but I had held on to this gift card long enough. So off we go to take a 30 minutes ride to get out of town to help the decision. Greeted and seated immediately with a smile we're off to a good start. Skipped the apps and went for the honey wheat bread and spreadable butter. I ordered the half rack of ribs (a first) and requested the sauce on the side along with a loaded sweet potato and a grilled Parmesan corn on the cob........delicious, that's right delicious I was pleasantly surprised. Sauce was a tangy sweet blend and the ribs literally fell off the bone as I picked them up. In an attempt to stay clean I stripped the corn from the cob, again delicious. My guest had their 6 oz filet mignon that was I'm told cooked to perfection. Up against the clock we skipped dessert but this meal definitely left me with a desire to return and include the apps and dessert next time. I went to this location with my dad last night & it was a horrible experience. First, after we were called for our table, the manager went to take us to our table & another couple had switched to the table she took us to. She said just a minute & never came to get us & take us to our new table. After about an additional 15 minutes, my dad had to get up & say something in order for us to be seated. Then the server we had was atrocious, I believe her name was Mckayla or Kayla. We ended up being seated by a huge party she had. It took her about 10 minutes to ever come to our table to get our drink orders. Anyway, she kept forgetting my dads order & even after she wrote it down, she had to come ask him. The huge party she had she apparently knew & when my dad asked her to bring us something to the table, she would say okay & then literally go sit with the big party next to us for about 10 minutes & never grabbed what my dad asked for. She also never refilled my drink or offered to & forgot to bring lemons to the table like we asked for our water, we had to remind her. She never brought out the bread either. She spent the majority of her time literally sitting & talking with the table next to us that she knew...in front of our faces. To top it all off, she never brought out our food and when we got our food, that another waiter graciously brought out to us. That other waiter asked us if we needed anything else & actually checked in on us. She refilled my dads drink & brought us bread. Meanwhile our waiter was talking with the other table that she knew. Horrible customer service, horrible experience. I do not plan on visiting a longhorn steakhouse again. read more

This used to be a decent place to get a reliable meal when you needed it. The staff used to be good and the food was cooked right. Not any more. The last two times have been a horrible experience and the staff has all changed. Tonight could not have gone more wrong. Wrong drinks. Wrong orders. Steaks cooked wrong. For starters we had the Shrimp/Lobster dip and it was okay but the Old Bay wasnt needed needed on the chips. A suggestion is add the Old Bay to the dip! Had their 18 oz ribeye, baked potato and mixed veggies. I found the mixed veggies a little undercooked. It was all pretty good except I compare to Outback. I think Outback has better tasting steaks and sides. The bread they give you at Longhorn was better than Outback though. We finished with the Caramel/Apple/Cinammon desert with Vanilla ice cream. We came in and asked for a booth... Half restaurant was empty. Host replied they don't have any available when there were lots of them! We looked around and asked what does he mean. He replied that they don't have any servers attached to those booths. Young girl came over and told him to offer half-booth. We got seated there and it was the most awkward setting... right in the hallway. We went back to the reception and said we will wait for the booth. Host looked annoyed and said it would be a 25 min wait (WITH RESTAURANT 80% empty!!!!). My husband said he wants to leave, but I was too tired and hungry, even though it is unacceptable and disrespectful to treat people who chose to come to your restaurant, even though there are more than enough choices. We waited for not even 1 min, older couple walks in, they were escorted to the same half-booth, older man turned around, points to an empty booth, they get seated RIGHT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!! We walk back to the reception and we are ready to leave this place, host looking all annoyed, says:"we'll get you seated now". NO APOLOGY!!!!! NOTHING!!!!!! If we were not as tired and hungry we would leave immediately after we could not seat at the booth when at least 10 were available. Our waitress however was great, very sweet lady from Texas.. She was wonderful. Food was bad. My grilled shrimp looked boiled rather than grilled and were cold. Spinach side order tasted spoiled. Everything else was average. Restaurant was very dirty. Came for my sons birthday. Had a large group. They were able to seat us almost immediately. Drinks and appetizers were fast, accurate and tasty. We had the Wild West shrimp, buffalo chips and onion Salads came soon after. Dinner we had a hiccup but right after the manager came over, he straightened it all out and took care of us with the bill and gave free desserts. Kudos to him for acting immediately and generously. We have been pleased with the quality of the food we have received, and I have never had an issue with a steak being prepared at the wrong temperature. Last time I was there my wife made sure they knew that the cowboy pork chops cannot be over cooked, guess what- hockey pucks came up disguised as pork chops. These we r sent back and were replaced with ribs. I had a burger that to me was either bad meat or the Swiss cheese on it made it taste like rotten meat, as I looked closer there was a hair in the burger, not on top but in the meat, I have a crew cut so not mine and two deep into the sandwich to have fallen in. This use to be our favorite spot but the last few visits have progressively gotten worse. We have never tried the Texas Roadhouse down the road, I guess We'll try them. read more

My first time dining here. My best friend and I had lunch here. We settled on the soup and salad combo. The shrimp & lobster chowder was delicious. It had just enough kick to it no need for pepper at all. Then we had the grilled chicken & strawberry salad. I'm not a big fan of mixing fruit with my chicken but this went very well together. The mandarin oranges, pecans and raspberry vinaigrette dressing was very well balanced. The strawberries were fresh and very sweet. The service was pretty good. For the most part...not to bad...portion, drinks, speed, service, and how quickly we were sat. The steak was still moo and moving. The sirloin was 60% fat and 40% meat. I wasted 26.50 on the steak. I could have cooked a better steak at home. I asked for a Med Well steak with just a little more pink. It came out med rare... It was gross. I told and showed the waitress and she was like oh.. Went for lunch on a weekday around 1 PM. Atmosphere is nine out of 10. Service was nine out of 10. Manager was nine out of 10. My steak was raw so I had to send it back, and I told them I want a different kind of steak and a new steak and new baked potato. My new steak was a 10 out of 10. My loaded baked potato was a 10 out of 10. I got the 10 ounce filet mignon, which is their largest filet.... The bill for steak and potato and soda was $31. My overall experience today was a nine out of 10. The manager and this server made a nice recovery from my first steak- mistake. The restaurant was clean and the servers were working hard. When we arrived there was a huge crowd waiting. We had done call ahead and were told an hour and a half. We evidently timed it perfectly because we literally had no wait and were seated immediately. First, I order a steak medium well but when it was brought to the table it might as well had been a raw steak because it was barley cooked and was oozing blood. The food is better quality than chain steakhouses like it, and with enough variety to have something for everyone. While it is worth the money it is a pricey place. Longhorn is the best place to come to if you are craving steak. The appetizers we got were out of this world -- stuffed mushrooms and spicy shrimp! The bread is so delicious! The steaks were truly amazingly delicious! I didn't even try the sauce that they make in front of you because the steak really didn't it. The only drawback was the salad was big. They gave us a lot of salad instead of making it a light salad. We had no room for dessert but we left very very happy. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and comfortable as well. Over done and soggy. Not sure why they steamed it instead of grilling. Wild West shrimp was OK in flavor but too greasy. Service was good.
