We have been coming to this location for years, and although somewhat higher priced compared to other steak houses, Longhorn is worth it. The Wild West Shrimp are a must have pretty much every time. Lots of different cuts of steak and plenty of other choices for anyone not looking for steak. Good drinks, seasoned staff and good service keeps us coming back. The only outstanding issue was the last few trips, they overcooked "medium rare" steaks. Thought it was a fluke, went back, and had another cooked the same way. We came here because we were given a gift card. Never tried it before and will never come back. The food itself was satisfactory, but part of my meal did not come until the rest of the meal was already finished. When I tried to flag down my server to ask about the missing item, She ignored me for a while. When she finally came over I told her that my side of shrimp did not show up, and her response was "ok". No apology or anything. She completely forgot to tell the kitchen to make it. Also, when I was placing my order I forgot that I get a salad with my food and I had to ask her if I also had a salad and that's when she told me that I did get one. If I didn't ask for a salad I am wondering if I would've even gotten a salad. This should be a no brainer for servers in a restaurant. Cover all of your bases and ask every question you need to. Me and my boyfriend go here EVERY weekend and get the same meal. longhorn salmon with rice, fries and a Cesar salad. Muffin is the most amazing waitress there. She's knows me and my boyfriends order and starts putting it in as soon as she sees were in the building. We only let her wait on us. The chicken was worth the try. 2 boneless breasts cooked to perfection nice and plump. We just had lunch here at the one in Bear, DE. Today. The food was very good. My friend had the surf and turf steak with the macaroni and cheese with the lobster on top, and he gave it two thumbs up. The potato soup was so good. At first the waiter said he couldn't give me the soup with no bacon, then I said well just don't put extra. He surprised me and didn't put any bacon. Very bad experience with a hostess who is unprofessional. Told us 20 minutes wait for a table for 4 adults and 1 child because they were short on servers. 2 people walk in and get seated, 2 more walk in and get seated, party of 4 walk in and get seated and now we have been there waiting 45 minutes. When we asked about whether we will be seated or not, hostess was ignorant and the manager worthless as well. I am only giving it a 2 because the drinks were good and strong... My boyfriend and I went there a few weeks ago looking for a good steak on a friday night... We get there and it seemed to be very busy and had a 15-20 min wait which was ok, and i think we actually waited about 10 mins and the staff was really nice. My boyfriend ordered the NY strip and i order the ribeye, both medium cooked our sides were veggies and fries. After ordering we had 1 mango margartta and 1 strawberry both were awesome drinks!! Then the food arrived, his steak was under cooked to the point where we had to send it back for a 2nd cooking... and mine was over cooked to the point where i couldnt eat it... needless to say i ate my veggies, and our dog had a nice steak dinner when we got home!! and not to mention the price of this meal was right at 100.00 not including tip!! if you are looking for a good steak avoid this place, if you are ok with w/ spending money on a good meal again AVOID this place!! We have been to longhorns up and down the east coast while traveling. Always a good meal. Went to the one in Bear last night, not so good. Ordered salads, 1 without onions or croutons, it came with both. The other was a blue cheese wedge. It came out as a few leaves of romaine with crumbles... it's a wedge salad. That is iceberg cut in a wedge. A wedge. Oh yeah, got the tonion it was real good. The entrees came out. Hers, a filet medium well with a loaded baked. Mine, a serloin medium well with a loaded baked. Both were great cuts of meat. The spuds, served room temp with possibly 1 tsp of "load" between the two. Her filet was room temp and mine was bleeding all over the plate. Sent mine back to be cooked and it was still served room temp. Very disapointed. I wasn't going to give them any stars but the food quality was very good, they just ruined it. So 4 stars for the food and 0 stars for ruining it. read more

Been here a couple of times over the last few years. It's nothing great, but it's not terrible either. I think the prices are a little high for what you get (smaller portions). But the food is tasty and the service is just so-so. The last time were there it was for an early dinner on a week night so it wasn't really that crowded, yet we didn't see much of our server and after our food was delivered she never even came back to check on us or see if we needed anything else. We even had to flag her down just to get our check and it was only then did she ask if we wanted anything else, like dessert. No Thank You. In my opinion, I prefer some of the other local steakhouses around, but Longhorn isn't all that bad. To Longhorn management/employees: if you're looking for ways to improve, please consider repricing your menu or added slightly larger portions and train your servers to be more consistent in checking on their customers. Like most people, we tip based on the quality of the service we receive. If you're just there to take my order and give me the bill when I'm done, or if we have to hunt you down to get a refill on an iced tea, then you're only going to get a below average tip. Horrible service! Waited 25 minutes for water. This after waiting 45 min for a seat. Very inattentive staff.

While visiting this restaurant my father we ent to use the restroom. He is blind and went to use the handicapped restroom. When he sat down he almost flipped over as the toilet was only held together by a bolt. He smacked his elbow and arm on the wall and nearly fell on the floor. For a person in a wheelchair this would have been very very dangerous and could have led to something serious. Upon returning to the table he asked to be peak to the manager and after explaining the situation to him he said that he would have to look into it and there was a maintenance person that could maybe get to it next week. He seemed puzzled that anyone would complain about a bathroom. We told him it was a $5 fix for two bolts. He did not seem to get the gravity of the matter. I eat at Longhorns all over the country and was furious that he did not even go back to look at the restroom. This occured late in the evening on wednesday july 25th. We were the only customers left in the restuarant. Before we left I rechecked the bathroom. Nothing had been done and no signs posted. I think this is very irresponsible and nothing like the Longhorns I am used to. read more

Food was good, service not so good. Mind you, we've dined here before and all was ok. The problem started when we received our food after waiting for some time. One of our meals was a chicken dish that we noticed was not cooked all the way. We immediately informed our server Shannon, and she simply put her hand out to take the food back (not saying anything). She then walked past our table several times with no communication as to what she was doing, no apology, nothing. About 10 minutes later we saw her ask the Manager to go and get our food. He then returns with our food. We say to him that we think our server needs to be re trained on Customer Service, and explained to him what all just happened. He says, oh really? I'm sorry. We then asked him if this is the same baked potato that went back on the plate and he replied no, we always give a new potato. We pointed out to him that this in fact was the same potato, because the fork mark was the same fork mark from the taste we had already taken. He then put his hands up as to say "oh well" (without speaking the words oh well) and then walks away. Shannon, our server, now comes back to the table and we inform her of what we just told the manager about her, and she gave an insincere apology and says can i get you anything else. We said yes, we'd like boxes to go and our bill please. I know it was a busy evening, and I've managed a restaurant before, but customer service today is key and I refuse to be treated that way. Today my husband and I wanted to get out, after being snowed in for a few days. We decided to go to LongHorn for lunch. The waitress was nice and friendly. I ordered the broccoli cheese soup, it was very good. We both decided to order the Rib Eye steak. My husbands steak was good, but mine had a lot of fat in it. Quite a bit of fat was left on my plate after I ate my steak. The waitress was called over and told about my steak. She asked if we wanted to see a manager. We said yes, the manager came over and asked what was wrong, I told him about my steak, he took one look at it and agreed it was a lot of fat left on my plate. He offered to order me another steak and suggested the New York Strip steak. I agreed to that one. I took a small bite and took the rest home along with fresh steamed broccoli. I was pleased with the New York Strip. I thought the manager was really nice and held the the situation very nicely. I frequently visit this restaurant and will be back. read more

We called ahead to make "reservations" and our name was taken, and we were told "we can get you right in." We arrived at the appointed time to find that -shocker- no one had written our name down. Manager says "sorry for the confusion, it'll be just a couple minutes." After a half hour we complained. After 45 minutes and seeing two parties of the same number of guests walk past us to be seated, we complained again, pointedly. After 50 minutes, and my adult daughter actually walking into the restaurant, observing a finished table needing to be cleared, and suggesting to the manager that we might be able to sit at that table, they finally sat us. My wife's drink was made wrong twice as well. I still tipped appropriately, because the wait staff has families too, but because of the idiotic and dishonest manager, and the incompetent hostess, we will not be back. read more

I heard about this restaurant through yelp in 2012, so my family wanted to try it out. We loved it,and have been there a LOT since. We go there for family birthdays,and date-night for me and my wife. Went there for valentines day and it was a 45 minute wait, the shrimp and lobster dip is good, Love the Outlaw rib-eye,and those parmesan fries are awesome,they also have this new burger with brisket on it ,whoa its tender and juicy (sorry forget the name I took a bite of my son's). The lava cake is so moist even without the melted choco center. You can get a complete meal here and leave satisfied. I am a steak and potatoes kinda guy so sorry I have'nt tried anything else. The managers are very friendly and are always working not just watching other people work. 1 outta 5 times they got the temp wrong on my steak but they corrected it and I was back to business. The waitstaff are really nice and take care of you, very clean even bathrooms too. Their prices are good and we always leave there full. Awe man now I want a steak. (Date-night honey) read more
