Walked in hungry, ordered a Bloomin' Onion and said "yes" when asked if I wanted bread. That kicked off what felt like a game of Where's My Food? Ten minutes go by... no bread, no onion. Salad arrives solo, looking lonely. I ask about the onion - boom, it appears. Bread? Still missing in action. Entrees come out (no complaints there), but I ask for the bread again. I was staying across the street and took a gamble on Outback after at least a decade since my last visit. While I loved your product some 20 years ago during college and the consistency during my early years of business travel, the food quality has plummeted. Despite not eating all day, somehow nearly everything was inedible including the famous blooming onion which may have been more disappointing than the gristle filled "filet". On a positive note the to go service was well organized and your sweet molasses bread is still good and one of the items that's has withstood time (and your processes). Absolutely the worst steak dinners we have ever had. We ordered to go because two of our party was ill and didn't want to set in a restaurant. Our order was 2 sirloin dinners, 1 joey sirloin, 1 outback burger. One Sirloin dinner was ordered medium rare; it was not medium rare, or rare. It was blue. It also had a huge grissle that was about 1/4 of the steak. The 2nd sirloin was likewise blue. This dinner also did not get the cesear salad that was ordered. The Joey sirloin was the same as all the rest, served blue. The Outback burger was ordered medium, the entire burger was raw, had a bite off the outside of it and that's all. If we had been in the restaurant all four dinners would have been returned. Not sure what was going on. The people who served us were very friendly, but the service sure didn't extend to the kitchen. read more

Stopped here on the way home from a family vacation. Took about 10 mins for someone to approach our table, but our waitress (3rd day with Outback) was amazing. So personable and attentive. I ordered the French onion soup and it was amazing!! Hubby ordered the baked potato soup and it was delicious. He ordered the prime rib and it was great and didn't have a lot of fat. Looking for a reliable meal while traveling but was sorely disappointed. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in recent memory. Food was tepid, Old Fashioned was terrible (also, only national restaurant bar I've ever been in that did not have Rye whisky), asparagus was mushy and improperly trimmed, dessert cookie was hard as a rock, no coffee was available. I know Outback is closing several restaurants and this should be on the list. At the very least the management should be changed. $60+ for a single terrible meal...never again Outback. It's sad because you used to be a great restaurant, that's why I showed up last night. BTW, melted butter for the lobster is not a sauce as it was referred to but the server. read more

We had a large-ish group (8) and called ahead and the restaurant said they could accommodate us at 8pm, we were seated at 756pm. So nice job there!!! Service was attentive, a couple items were not brought out with the main courses however when brought to the waiter's attention he fixed it righty o. Three of us had steak, 2 medium and 1 medium rare but mine were cooked right as far as I'm concerned. You'd think a "steakhouse" with uniform cuts of meat and restaurant grade stove tops would have this figured out but it's pretty endemic of "steakhouses" that they just can't get done-ness done right. But there were issues with steaks not being cooked to the correct doneness. All were overcooked. Also issues with missing items but that was quickly rectified. Staying at hotel in Charelston, WV. Went to local Outback Steakhouse and ordered Cob Salad with salmon. Salad came to my table in good time. However, salad was iceberg lettuce, not mixed greens as in menu. Zero tomatoes when should have had and ton of chopped hard-boiled eggs and some bacon bits. The salmon, of reasonable portion, was so undercooked it was basically raw. I was quite hungry so ate much of salad and a little of salmon hoping I wouldn't get ill from undercooked fish. Every menu in the country has those famous words, "eating raw or undercooked foods...." Very nice waitress came back to table asking if I was done. I calmly pointed out the obvious shortcomings of the salad. She quickly took it away saying, "I'll be right back." Thinking she might bring back a new salad but she returned telling me, "your bill had been taken care of." So they thankfully did not charge me. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode where everything went wrong! First of all, plenty of tables are open but they sat us by the bathrooms. Food, over did the dressing on my salad till it was only one flavor. My bloomin chicken sandwich had zero flavor. My dad's burger was undercooked pushing raw. My mom's prime rib sandwich was flavorless as well. Service was ok, nearly forgot my dad's drink. To top off the night, the men's bathroom flooded and one of the waitresses said it happens often. I don't think I've seen a man run out of the bathroom so fast. Our corner smelled bad after they were cleaning. In fact, the smells wafted everytime the doors opened and closed all night!!! do not recommend going here, the mall has better food for cheaper prices. read more
