the hidden gem in West Virginia was a welcome surprise after a long day of travel. The locally sourced meat and veg were delicious and our server Aaron was a friendly knowledgeable delight!

My boyfriend and I came for a date night on one of their less busy nights. We still had to wait a little bit, but had a great time at the bar getting a drink while we waited. After that we were led to our table, which was quite cozy and romantic. They bring you a delicious bread, which I was a huge fan of! I always love with establishments have some bread to get you started. We ordered a Caprese salad for us to share, which was delicious! Overall the food was very good, but I do feel the price point was a little bit steep for the quality. Our waitress was not the greatest, she did not check on us often, was not very friendly and messed up a few things during the ordering process. However, I think that she was just new so it was no biggie.

Loved the experience and the vibe. My steak was great and the chef explained it to me when they brought it out with the lava stone. Can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town!

Went for Charleston Restaurant week, overall great food and experience. The restaurant is always clean as well. The service was good. The brownie was a bit dry but a good taste, but I'd recommend the cheesecake for a dessert!

Great service. Really cool experience cooking on the stone! Not sure I would do it again only because it's work haha but the food was great!

    Crab Bisque Fresh Made

Located in the head of downtown this lovely restaurant was an easy walk from anywhere in the heart of downtown Charleston. The ambiance is vey classy and beautiful for a relaxing dinner The grilled Caesar Salad is the best I have had anywhere in the continental United States. The food was exceptional what I would consider too notch. I travel constantly for work and can benchmark pretty well. The service and staff was amazing and we will be back. Dine with confidence !

If you're in downtown Charleston...this is a nice local place to visit. We both had the lobster bisque...stuffed beef rolls...wedge salad and bread. That bread by the way...was so good. It was hot and fresh and to me...it tasted like it had toasted sesame and maybe rye on the outside? I had the Tarragon Room potatoes with my filet. The potatoes were a bit too hard for my personal taste but the flavor was okay. My friend had the Garlic and Rosemary Chicken with risotto. She seemed to like it a lot. It's a bit pricey here...but they have a great wine selection...and next time...I'm going to try their "Steak on a Stone". I would have tried it when we were there but it was a late Monday night dinner...and I didn't feel like learning a new table-side cooking skill at 8:30pm.

The bar staff was outstanding from start to finish. We had a few different bartenders taking care of us, and each one was attentive, friendly, and great at helping with recommendations. We ordered the New York steak and the Brussels sprouts special. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, and the Brussels sprouts hit that ideal balance--crispy, flavorful, and just right. Everything we had was packed with flavor. The drinks didn't miss either--ice-cold beer and expertly crafted cocktails all around. If you find yourself in Charleston, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend.

We heard from so many folks that we needed to come try this gem but what we experienced first hand…read morewas an expensive bomb. There's an amazing selection of bourbon but I love tequila! My margarita was not good at all. So bad that I didn't even drink more than half which is just a sin when it comes to expensive cocktails. My husband's chicken sandwich had about as much chicken as a tiny tender strip. He left hungry. I had the steak special. Which had good flavors (as anything covered in cheese would) but if I'm paying $60 for a medium rare steak, it's a shame that it came out medium well. Roasted cauliflower was mid, I make better at home in my air fryer. Service was good but the waitress was pretty pushy with the extras like we were insane for not ordering appetizers and not letting her bring us a glass of 4 roses. Ambiance was fine. But the experience was not worth my money, not even if it was half the cost honestly.

We were in visiting on a work trip and we were looking for some great food. First off, the venue space is nice. I really liked the atmosphere and vibe. Unfortunately, things kind of didn't start well and they just went downhill from there. We were looking at the higher dollar menu items like the seabass and scallops. They had a scallops special that caught our attention but the chef wouldn't budge on the menu sides. We were looking for something lower carb. What I wanted was the scallop dinner with the special miso sauce, but instead of the sweet potato hash, I wanted veggies. But the server said the chef said no. Based on that, we both ended up ordering a hamburger. It wasn't what we wanted but we felt it was the safest option based on the quality of the appetizer. You see, we had ordered some calamari and it was so bad we had to send it back. It was nothing but hard crunchy batter. There was very little calamari actually in the pieces. You couldn't even pierce it with your fork. It was horrible. Based on the quality and flavor of the calamari, we decided to not take the risk on sea bass or scallops. The burgers came out and they were ok. Nothing special. I've read through some of the other reviews about the complaints of how salty the food is, and I can confirm the food we had was way over salted. Now for the service. This was a really awkward and uncomfortable night. The server was trying but he honestly didn't fit the price point of the menu. Each interaction was more awkward than the next. The things he would say and the way he communicated, made us so confused and uncomfortable. He was a nice guy, he just probably isn't a good fit as a server. We've had good meals in Charleston before, tonight wasn't one of them. The martinis we had were good, but we walked out of there only spending $70, while we had a budget of $125 each to spend. This restaurant lost out on $180 worth of business all because they didn't want to budge on the scallops dish. Do the math, this wasn't a smart business decision.

My boyfriend and I were passing through Charleston, WV during our roadtrip and looking for dinner…read moreduring the work week. I wanted to try something new and interesting and through my Yelp research I found this spot. It's located in downtown with metered street parking free Monday-Saturday nights after 6pm and all of Sunday. Luckily, we were able to find a spot easily. Inside was modern and relatively clean. We had to wait a little bit to be seated as they were pretty busy; however, this place had a decent amount of seating and space. Service was good overall, but it wasn't as consistent as I would've liked for actions such as water refills, asking for extra napkins, etc. This was partly because they were very busy that night. They have a variety of food options - apps, salads, sandwiches, pies (pizzas), and dessert. We ended up ordering a large pizza (thin crust) to split - half Thai and half Chicken Gouda. Both were yummy although the crust was a tad burnt - nothing bad to the extent that taking bites were an effort. Overall, I preferred the Thai since I've never come across a Thai style pizza and I could really taste the curry sauce. The only downside of the Thai was that the shrimp were slightly overcooked, which could be potentially explained by us ordering a pizza split in two styles with them cooking the entire pizza evenly versus what is needed for each ingredient. We finished the entire pizza between the two of us, but I could see someone having some leftovers. If possible, they might want to do some minor pest management. The entire time of our visit a fruit fly or gnat was hovering around us and the food. We tried to catch it and protect the food, only for it to ultimately take a permanent dip in my water. My overall assessment was that it was a good place to try in the city. It's not something I would crave, but I wouldn't mind coming back again if I was in the area.
