Slow service, mediocre food. The servers are usually nice but they seem very short staffed. Went just bc of gift cards. Won't go back.

i loveee coming here, have been for the last 2 years or so since i moved here. every server i've gotten has been so sweet an more then attentive enough, including a sweet girl who at the time was pregnant, an that's just on top of how delicious the food is my appetite goes into power drive just thinking about there buffalo chicken appetizer thing they have, an they're bread an butter is to die for, also the decor for being in the south is spot on you gotta love the deer antler chandelier an bear on the wall read more

Lets being with the service, the waitress was pretty good thou I will say that she did let my glass go empty once and for a long period of time. We ordered two 6 oz reneged steaks they were ok but the plate was filled with grease No idea how that could get that much grease on our plates. I have always been a longhorns fan. There steaks are great but I decided to change it up and get some seafood this time. I got the Bourbon Salmon salad. The salad was great, the ranch dressing was awesome, the salmon on the other hand lacked flavor and was very overcooked.. I still l like this place, and I'm guessing I just caught them on an off night. My girlfriend go the lamb chops....they were phenomenal!! Probably the best lamb chops I've ever had. The service was great, and the place was clean. If your passing by, this is definitely a place that is worth stopping in and checking out. Went here for my birthday. BIG mistake! Our waitress, Sherri, had an attitude to begin with. It took 15 minutes before she even showed up to take our drink order, 27 minutes later, our drinks were delivered. 38 minutes after ordering, our salads were delivered. 53 minutes to receive our meal. Typically have a great meal and speedy service at Cornelia LongHorn, but tonight something happened and the kitchen was running behind (which is understandable-things happen). Unfortunately, it seemed more like our table had been forgotten, as tables of similar party-size around us were seated well after us, but got their meals 20 minutes before us. We waited at our table for a full hour for our food to arrive, and when it was finally served, the one steak at our table was cold. Very disappointed to not get an apology from the management about the long wait, or the cold steak. We all decided not to complain to the waitperson, as it wasn't primarily their fault, but a couple of "I'm so sorry for the wait!" Comments could have righted the situation quickly. Times are heard right now, and staff is difficult to come by, I know. But when you are serving a $150 meal, every effort to make it excellent is appreciated by customers who worked hard to afford the treat. read more

I guess because of the area and no other comparable choices this Longhorn's is always slam packed which tends to make the service somewhat slow. I've visited twice since they opened, the last being at lunchtime. I visited with my girlfriend and her 13 year old son for his birthday. The service was treacherously slow, over an hour and a half for lunch! When the boy's and my salads were delivered my g/f didn't get her soup which we all kept waiting for. Since she was having soup and salad it was all delivered together, though she did end up asking for it. The waitress was very nice but I think they still have a lot of new employees on the floor and in the kitchen with the timing problem. The time before was on a Wednesday evening. A Captive Audience - That is what this Longhorn possesses. I have eaten here 50+ times over the past two years and have refrained from writing a review. Today's visit put me over the rubicon and I feel the obligation to put this review out there. First, a summary of today's experience. I stopped in, sat at the bar, ordered a draft beer, and decided on a cheeseburger. Beer arrived as it should have - icy cold glass. I ordered my burger as follows: rare, American cheese, sliced dill pickles, onion. A large side of mayo on the side (carefully explained that I needed mayo for my burger and my fries) and mustard on the side. What arrived: a medium burger, cheese not melted, dill pickles, two thin rings of onion, NO mayo, and no mustard. At this point, I called the Managing Partner over to show and share my situation. She quickly took it away and promised to personally return it to the kitchen and rectify the issues. I enjoyed the remainder of my beer and let my server know that I would prefer to take the new (assured to be perfect) burger "to go". Soon, my burger arrived and I paid my check. When I got home and opened the container (see photo for specifics) -- burger cooked rare, cheese semi melted, pickles, and (wait for it) three tiny onion rings. Oh, and about 6 oz of mayo but sadly, no mustard. After all of the effort, still unable to get more onions. Oh well. Now, for a culmination of my previous visits: The good: - Jason (the bartender on several nights) manages to go the extra mile "band aiding" the kitchen's frequent tone-deafness and snafus. - the freshness and quality of the chicken tenders - HDTV in the bar area The not so good: - the mediocrity of the steak quality based on the price - the repeated snafu's of the kitchen to get steaks and burgers cooked as ordered - the forgetfulness of the kitchen regarding sides of mayo, extra dressing, etc. Bottom line: Set your expectations properly before you walk through the door. read more

Worst service!! Waited about 8-10 minutes to be seated, no one at hostess stand. This was at 4:15, maybe 4 tables in entire restaurant. 4 waitresses saw us and didn't inform anyone to seat us. Then, our waitress didn't even come get our drink order until we had been seated for over 10 minutes. If the restaurant had been packed or even slightly more busy as it was when we finished our meal, I'd understand. This woman had maybe 3 tables. The waitress slopped sauce all over our wild west shrimp. Got a hunk of improperly cut lemon for my water, not a slice, and didn't get it until my water was half gone. My husband NEVER got even ONE refill of Coke, nor was offered. Waitress didn't offer a second helping of bread, as we've become accustomed to at Longhorns. My husband always loves the steak at Longhorns. The food and the service is excellent at all times we are never disappointed and go there quite frequently. We take our family there every chance we get it's one of the best places to get a good steak one that's exactly what you wantif you get there by 5 o'clock you will get right in it's always a line after six it since but if you get there early enough you get right in with no problem. read more

She was horrible, this woman in her 20s, was rude and then led a man in a motorized wheel chair through 3 different small tables and you could clearly see how upset he was having to ask everyone to move out of his way. We waited 40 minutes for 2 salads, never received a table check or drink refills. Asked another waitress to find out where our salads where, 5 minutes later we again saw no one and we left. However, as we made our way over to bar/waiting area as it is kind of all one area we were yelled at by the take out server and/or bartender. She was RUDE and demanded we move out of the "clearly marked" take out area. We were just really shifting all around to avoid the flow of traffic from others coming and going and I guess also picking up take our orders when she mockingly pointed and referenced the said take out order sign that was "clearly marked"!? It was at that point that we decided NOT to spend our hard earned money on a meal here and also be treated with such poor customer service so..we left. Waited less than ten minutes to be seated for a party of six. Waitress was friendly and kept up very nicely. There was a slight mix up with our order but it was fixed immediately. This is for the Cornelia, GA location. Waited 15 minutes to be seated when half of the tables were empty. Restaurant ran out of bread and offered nothing in the place of it. Service was extremely slow, and server was unfriendly. The food was brought to the table cold, and my husband's burger and bun were burnt. He ate less than half of the burger. We have eaten here 3 times, and this was the last time. All 3 times have been bad. The only reason we tried eating here 3 times is because this is the only steakhouse in this city. Bathrooms a mess not very clean! Floors were dirty in the restaurant. Our food came to the table cold! When employees cleaned the table we sat at they took the rag and pushed food into our seats and never wiped the seates. On a positive note our server was very good and fast however I will never visit this store again it was that bad! I'm angry I even have to give it one star. My boyfriend and I went to Longhorn after a long absence to give it another try as we have both had bad experiences at this location. We were prepared to have a nice night out, but it was anything but. We received our buzzer from the hostess who was very nice and took a seat at the bar for a before dinner drink. From the time the bartender saw we were waiting for a table, she was completely unconcerned with us. I requested a second drink after she had already tossed our check face up to us on the bar. She poured my draft and the keg went out. The carbonation splashed some beer on her and she walked out of the bar area complaining loudly that it had splashed on her face. She then comes back plops the beer in front of me saying "The keg went out. We'll get you another one." Clearly, I do not want a beer that has left my line of sight that might now have something in it. The trainee who was learning was very nice and offered me another type of draft. We paid our tab and went to our table. Our server was very nice and tried very hard. We ordered apps, wine with dinner, a medium rare filet with a "signature side", and a medium rare filet with lobster tail. My boyfriend's steak came out nicely as it was the 7oz. I ordered the 9oz that when it was served to me it had clearly been cut into 2 times during preparation to check the temp which created almost 3 separate steaks. One of which was clearly over cooked being completely grey throughout the section. We sent the steak back to have it corrected. Afterwards, the manager comes back to the table with the steak that I had just sent back with it cut open on the opposite side that had not been cut to check temp. Obviously the thickest portion was cooked to the correct temp, but I didn't order half a steak that is cooked properly. When the manager asked me was wrong with the steak, I pointed out the cut marks that were cooked through. I could not believe that I was having to explain to a steakhouse manager that yes half of the meat was correctly cooked, but half of it was not. We attempted to pay for our meal that we were now not going to be staying to eat after the treatment we had received. We were informed that there would be no charge. We left the half of the cheese fries that we had already boxed up, a tip for our server that was working hard, and left. I have never walked out of a restaurant, movie, event, etc ever in my life, and I will never walk into another Longhorn again. read more

I think it's a shame to have a chain restaurant like longhorns in this small town of Cornelia Georgia and you can't get a good meal with good service!!! It's ridiculous!!! but it's the truth ... ever time I have been there they take forever to seat you and you never get refills the food takes forever to get to your table and this was at times when the restaurant wasn't even busy!!! so they can't blame it on being very busy and just having a bad night... So what gives?
