This experience was awful!!! We ordered the family meal, 4 steaks, 4 potatoes and a salad for 4 for $40.00. We put in the special instructions the temperature of the steaks and ask for condiments. We requested curbside and when I got there, I was told to come in and pick it up. I got in at the exact pick up time and waited another 15 minutes. When I got my food I had no condiments and no salad dressing. When I got home, my steaks were all medium rare instead of medium and well done. The mixed green salad was Caesar salad and no Caesar salad dressing. The ticket on the steaks and salad was exactly how I ordered so something went wrong from order to cooked and packed. Everything was cold. So disappointed. I know times are tough but if you are going to open for business you should do it correctly. I will start this by saying that we expected to have a bit of a wait ... it is Fathers Day after all. I also realize we are still in a COVID world but ... We arrived at Longhorn Steakhouse in Flowood, MS 11:50 am and were told our wait would be app. 50 minutes. We were seated JUST before 2 pm. Our waitress came over right away and took our order. None of this is the fault of the wait staff whose tips will most likely suffer because of what's happening as I sit here. We ordered our food at 2 pm. Our waitress came back after putting our order in to let us know that food arrival time would be delayed by as much as an hour because they had so many "to go" orders that they couldn't keep up. And thyme are right about the to go orders. They were flying out the door as we sat and waited (still). It is now 3:15 pm and we still have no food. We asked to see a manager and they sent a waiter out to tell us that our food had been "bumped up to the front of the line" and that we would get a discount for being so patient. And the managers couldn't come to the table because they were cooking our food. There is NO excuse for this type of horrific service. If they had told us up front that our food would take 2-1/2 hours to get to the table after a 2+ hour wait, we would have gone to another restaurant. Fathers Day and COVID are not valid excuses for what we are STILL experiencing. Can't wait to see what kind of discount we'll receive. Worst experience ever! We will not be back. read more

Longhorn is one of my favorites places to get dinner. It's always pretty full but the line moves fast and in order to get seated. I got the redrock grilled shrimp. And like always it was really good!! For my side I got the Steakhouse mac and cheese. It's a four cheese mac and cheese with bits of bacon. As my other side I got an elote (corn on the cob) but it was definitely not what I expected. I can't explain what that tastes like but never again .. other than that I love it here and would definitely recommend everything except the elote of course lol. read more

They always get my order right, provide silverware without request, have my water ready to go, and have the food ready when they say they will. I ate here for dinner almost once a month when I was in high school and always enjoyed the food. The service is always very friendly too. I came for dinner the other day and the service and food were still great, as expected. I had a Caesar salad and the tilapia over rice. Our meal came to the table in a timely manner and they brought the birthday girl an ice cream sunday. First time going here and let me say WOW! The wait wasn't bad at all, the service was Great! Our waiter James was beyond amazing..please ask for him at the Flowood, MS location! Now the food (deep breath) was Heaven seat! It was hot and cooked to perfection! The steaks we had were cooked to the perfect temperature and was so tender and juicy! If you get a steak do yourself a favor and add the Parmesan cheese crust it will not your socks off! If dessert is your thing and you like chocolate dive into the Chocolate Stampede, it's the best thing I've ever ate with a spoon! Sides I recommend or that I tried this go round baked sweet potato with cinnamon butter (YUMMY!!!) and the rice pilaf which turned awesome once mixed with the steak juices and Parmesan cheese lol. Just throw the WHOLE night shift away. Garbage. I've never had to walk out of an establishment before eating - I had to do it at this location. Please be aware the staff makes rude comments amongst each other about guests and clearly do not know what proper customer service is or how to conduct themselves. I came in to eat tonight (4/15/18) after the other place I had planned on eating had closed early because it was Sunday. I walked in at about 8:15 or so. There was no one at the hostess desk to the left at all. I stood and waited.. kept waiting.. litttle linger.. finally a guy came around the corner carrying some bags with pickup orders. He was dressed better than the other servers so I am left to believe he was a manager. Not sure though. He was a white guy and had on a white ? dress shirt and black slacks, short cut hair brownish/blonde hair. He looked at his screen and said they didn't have a booth clean and that they needed to clean one off - no problem. I said that's cool and then he started messing with the receipts/register for the to go order to the side of the hostess desk and then asked me "would you like to sit over in the bar area at a high top" I said "no I want a booth". He says "okay let me get it cleaned" and walked off.. I didn't see him again. He did not clear a table. I then wait again.. probably another 2-3 minutes before anyone comes to the desk again. This time it was a white girl with a black sweater with a big orange longhorn on it and black pants. She comes over and asks if I had been helped. I told her "yeah the guy just came and said he needed to clean off a booth" and she said "okay let me get that cleared" and walked off back to her section and stood there. She did not clear a table. I already knew this was about to get real ugly.. I had been waiting about 5 minutes just to be SEATED on a SUNDAY NIGHT. Meanwhile there was an entire back section with booths clean. I could see over the ledges. I was super pissed by this time. Just countless mistakes. SEAT YOUR CUSTOMER IN A TIMELY MANNER. Especially when there are booths available. I'm sure they had already cleaned that section and didn't wanna seat anyone there but is it really worth getting an irate customer because the staff is lazy ?!?! Another guy comes up maybe another 30 seconds later wearing a black apron and asked if i had been helped yet and I tell him "I've had 2 people tell me they are going to clear a table and I really don't know what's going on at this point" he said "let me get that done right now" he then walked to a table and started clearing it immediately. The girl in the black sweater comes over to him along with a black girl with fluffy hair and he was asked why is he cleaning the table and he says "because she's waiting for a booth" and the white girl in the black sweater says in a ugly tone "uhhh it's a booth for a party of 1". Soooo because of that you didn't want me in your section ?! And the black girl with the fluffy hair heard her say it and instead of DOING something, just stood there. She's just as guilty as the girl who popped her little mouth off if she thought that was okay. Did she think she wasn't gonna make a good tip because it was just a party of one ?! Didn't think serving me would be worth her time ?!?! Didn't wanna clear the table again ?!? How very rude and utterly disgusting. Maybe she should find a different job or no job at all with that trash mouth and attitude. I've neeeeever had to hold myself back from walking up on an employee and really giving her the business but i had to do this at this establishment. A steakhouse, at that. Mind blowing. I then said out loud to all of them "You know what.. don't even worry about my table." and i turned around and walked out. I have neeeeeever in all my years of dining had this happen to me. Truly appalling. I will be contacting a REAL manager tomorrow about this incident. The only helpful person in this whole debacle was the guy in the apron who IMMEDIATELY started to clear a table.. all the others were TRASH. Horrible horrible customer service and just manners in general. I thought I had experienced bad customer service but this took the cake and all the candy. I wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

I love longhorn but this place needs to change the name. It does not stand up to the standard set by Longhorn. I recently moved from Boca Raton and was a regular at the Delray Beach location where the food was always top quality. We ordered medium rare $27.00 steaks only for them to be well done. The salads were poorly made and the rice was not cooked at all. I will try the one in Madison and hope for the best. Flowood is the worst experience I have every had at Longhorn. Better than expected, and actually not bad for a chain dining experience. I didn't risk ordering a prime steak cut, but did go with the sirloin blue cheese wedge salad, after a cup of way-too-salty French onion soup. The "steak" was a little tough (and small), but after cutting it up and mixing it with a decent sized blue cheese wedge, it made for a reasonable dinner. I called to see if I could get on a waiting list and was told I could call ahead 30 minutes prior to arrival and get on a waiting list...when I called back I was told no and then was put in eternal hold. I think it depends on who you are!! On arrival I was told there was an hour wait, we waited 1 1/2 hours. The only large table was not being used..my steak was tough and over cooked..too much trouble sending it back! Poor waitress was the only one on our side..we ate at this same location in January for our anniversary and it was great, the steak was great and so was our waitress. My friend wanted steak so I said lets go. She said this was her favorite steakhouse (I've been here 2X over the past 5 years). There was nothing. That wowed me during the dine in. I got the NY Strip Steak and it was just okay. I version ally loved grilled items on an actual grill and it seemed as though they run their steaks through the oven (I know because I have worked in chain restaurants before) the server was fine. The place wasn't crowded at all for a Saturday in booming Rankin county! It was a business and leisure lunch for me. I couldn't understand that I've been to Longhorns in the past and they usually let you get a small side salad and one side item but on yesterday I got the one side and got charged for the salad. I probably will let it be another year or two before I visit this particular brand. The steak just wasn't seasoned right, but the loaded mashed potatoes were good and hot. P.S. Unfortunately this is one of the dirtiest restaurants I've been into for some time. The men's restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in months and not even casually cleaned in more than a day. Our table and wall next to our table hadn't been cleaned and had old food and drink on the wall. My water glass was delivered in a dirty glass too. The service and food was average. I was a restaurant general manager for many years and it is common knowledge that if the areas your guests see are not clean then the areas where your food and drink are being prepared is likely less clean. I rarely write reviews but this being a national, corporate restaurant, the standards are far from where they should be and it's obvious no one cares much. I will not be back to this location nor any location. Many choices for dining. Hopefully this company will remember that and make changes. read more

I am usually well pleased with the 6 oz filet mignon at Longhorn, however last night it was very disappointing. I had ordered my steak medium well, but it came to me rarer than I expected. Despite the steak being cooked less than the medium well requirement, the steak was unusually tough and had a gamey taste to it. here was also tough stringy portions spread throughout it. I may have unfortunately received a lesser quality steak, and this may have been the exception. The salad that I ordered was fresh, and my side order was okay. The service was acceptable. I really love this place, and I hope that the management has not decided to buy less quality beef in order to make more profit. Don't need a menu, sirloin, salad, baked sweet potato or broccoli. The service is always reasonable. The staff is always polite. The food is good and consistent. If you're looking for a romantic dining experience, or a fancy place to impress a date, this probably isn't it. If you want a good meal at a reasonable price, check it out.
