At first sight from outdoors this place looks very appealing but I should have known from the noise level - extremely loud- the sticky tablethat I was not going to be comfortable!! Ok , so the menu had several options of which I don't care for.. pub food/ fried options so many!! I opted to have the scallop pie and when I asked to sub for asparagus instead of whatever veggies came with the dinner a disappointment when it was an up charge... no thanks as the meal was already 28$- so when served rather quickly plate was loaded with the garlic mashed potatoes which took up half the plate... the scallop pie was also a generous portion! So I expected it all to be delicious but was more than DISAPPOINTED- scallops were tasteless and the garlic mashed potatoes were so dry I ate like (2)) bites ... all in all a bust No water ( I guess you have to ask) ridiculous in this day and age what restaurants get away with ... honestly after being in the business for more than a decade I guess things are quite different ?! Dessert was awful dry cake that despite having fudge in middle and whipped cream tasted sour- the ice cream was fine.... Service was mediocre... All in all I won't be returning and the reason I went to this locale was for the music bingo... at least we won a prize A $10 gift card that we were told that we could not use until the next time??? We've eaten at this restaurant several times and it has always been good. However this past Sunday it was not very good. Our waitress was very good. I got the 12oz rib eye steak with rice pilaf. The steak was at least 1/3 inedible fat. It was also extremely spicy, so spicy I had a difficult time eating it, and I like hot spicy food. The rice pilaf was the same, infact so spicy I could not eat it. My daughter got the strawberry salad woth chicken. She said the chicken was good but the salad itsrlf was extremely spicy. My wife had a burger and they forgot the side salad, she did say the burger was good.My son in law had steak tips and said they were good. Whrn I go to a steakhouse I don't expect the food to be so spicy hot the it is almost inedible. Also the men's restroom was outright filthy. read more

To say that the service was mediocre would be kind. I have been to both the Haverhill and Tewksbury locations several times and have never had such a horrible visit. I had told the waitress that I am allergic to eggs so that she could check the allergy menu and be sure I didn't order anything I can't have, eggs hide in the weirdest places. After a different server brings out one of the 2 salads we ordered and placed it in front of the wrong person once our server returns I find out that only one dressing they have doesn't contain eggs. It's definitely not to my liking so I am stuck with oil and vinegar. Then our main courses arrive. My plate has cold asparagus and EGG product on it! I didn't know the parm crusted sauce wasn't just cheese and breadcrumbs, but also has eggs. The waitress didn't look it up she just served it. So I had to send back my Flo's Filet. When I got a replacement it was nearly raw. I had ordered it medium. The table is beginning to look like we've ordered for 4. She left the cold asparagus on my plate and brought me another plate of hot asparagus. The new steak that was barely cooked was on another plate and I asked for a manager. The GM came over. He said he would take care of it. I thought he'd at least take it off my bill. BUT OH NO, he had them make the steak again. This is the third time. My dining companion felt bad sitting there eating while I was again waiting for food to be corrected. After serving me food she was told I was allergic to, cold food, and undercooked food, the bill was over $70. Two meals that were at best mediocre, a waitress not concerned with an allergy and a GM that's not going to get my business again. What a waste of money. read more

I don't know if this makes me basic, but I love Longhorn. This location is my favorite. It was real busy yesterday, which was also a Friday night at 6pm. Not sure if that is typical or weather related, or just an indicator about how others feel about this place too. This solidified it as a great choice. I wiggled into a parking spot and trotted in. There was a wait for tables, as the inside was just as packed as the parking lot. I breezed by those hungry folks and met my friend at the bar, which had a few open seats. We enjoyed our food, talked, and laughed. The bartender was awesome, as she was attentive and around if we needed anything. I didn't take any pictures (next time!). We ate everything. He got a ribeye, I got the renegade with a salad (my favorite part!!) with a sweet potato plus cinnamon, sugar and butter. I had two glasses of moscato (I'm double downing on my basic-ness). I initially said no to dessert but changed my mind and got the cheesecake. It was huge and topped with whipped cream, caramel, and pecans. Heaven! I took half of it home. The prices are really good for what you get. I'm so glad we chose it, from start to finish it was great! read more

I guess I won't be going back to Longhorn inHaverhill, MA. Last night, October 24, 2025. The service horrible. The waitress came over took our drinks and we ordered an appetizer. She brought us our drink in time, and ask if we wanted to order. We told her we need a little time. She never came back. We were waiting for over 30 minutes. I finally one of the waitress if she could get our waitress. Around 10 later she shows up with another waitress. We ask her about our appetizer and she said I forgot. Really!!!. Like 5 minutes later the appetizer shows up. The new waitress took our entrees. No manager shows up. Also who charges for tap water. She never said they charge 75 cents. I couldn't believe it- she never told us there is a charge. My steak was tough my rice and mashed potatoes not hot enough. I will never visit again. read more

What's not to love about this place? Great food, service, and drinks. Super cozy and great ambiance. Can't beat the prices either. I've been coming here since I was in high school (graduated in 2007) and the place hasn't changed a BIT - some may say it needs a face lift and is outdated but that what makes it so great. Booths are cozy, fresh bread and the drinks at this location are always strong and delicious. My family and I have dined the past two weekends and the service has been amazing. We have a toddler and he loves the grilled chicken tenders. Yes, this is a chain but it's one of the better locations with consistently good food. THE BEST honey mustard and chicken fingers. We came in last night on New Year's Eve with call ahead seating around 6ish. This is the 3rd LongHorn my husband and I have eaten at. We brought our friends to try it out & yet again LongHorn did not disappoint. Our severs name was Jaylene I believe and she was so good and very attentive. We had a small hiccup with our dinner and the manager and server came out to the table and were so kind. We understand stuff happens and we're not even the slightest upset. More managers need to be out in dining rooms greeting customers... well done. We will be back now being this is the closest one we live near and will be asking for Jaylene. I fully expected to give 4 stars. Pleasantly surprised by the exceptional dining experience. I've been to longhorn before but it's been a long while. I'm a big fan of Outback, but the Longhorn now ranks higher. I tried a little bit of everything. The taste and the presentation was excellent. Filet mingon was cooked exactly the way I ordered it, and it was melt in your mouth perfect without any hint of fat. Lobster tail was a good size and cooked perfectly. Delicious melted butter by its side. The side dishes were great! Fire grilled Corn on the cob and steakhouse Mac and Cheese. Both delicious! Also tried Parmesan crusted chicken and Baby back ribs. Highly recommend both! Others seemed to enjoy their salads. Order your favorite foods here...you will not be disappointed read more

Planned a night out with family, there were 8 of us. Arrived an hour early and told the manager, Jason, that the rest of our party would be arriving at 6:00. I know they don't take reservations, but they do have call ahead seating. He was so kind and helpful! We were seated at a very nice table at 6:00. Our waitress was wonderful, the food was delicious. Jason checked in with us a couple of times during our visit to make sure we were happy. We all had a very good time, and will definitely be back! read more

Yes, I know it's a chain. Yes, I know there's a way. That being said, it's pretty good here. We got a gift certificate for Christmas. Kind of excited, because we don't get to go out for steak much. There wasn't really a long wait for two people, we got seated right by the door, it was a little chilly because it was freezing outside, but the seating area was ample enough for the two people sitting in the booth. The bar seemed like it was packed. I think it was a game on. We each got a steak. And we got salad and sides as well. We even got the fried pickles to start as an appetizer. Those are good, taste a little processedI can't really put my finger on it. They're probably frozen. But good nonetheless. Both of our steaks were done perfectly. For my friends, family, and boyfriend and I, Longhorn has always been an old reliable. The steak, fish, sides, etc. were consistently good every time I went with any of the people listed. However, over the last few months, the service has dipped substantially, and so has the quality of the food. My boyfriend and I, being young and unable to drink but still adults, were sat by the lovely hostess and ignored for about 20 minutes after being sat. No water, no bread, not even a smile and a "I'll be right by". They were busy, sure. But not THAT busy. It wasn't until I flagged down the hostess (who again, was lovely and very apologetic) about twenty minutes later and mentioned that we hadn't been spoken to once that our waitress rushed over and gave an attitude, saying she was coming right over. I watched her walk by our table multiple times! She was NOT coming over! She was passive aggressive and rude the entire meal, and I'll admit, my boyfriend and I barely tipped. We're young and working and we understand how tips are very important, but that level of insincerity and rude behavior was to the point of it being necessary. The few times after that were pleasant. Good food good service. And then a few weeks ago, I returned with my parents. My food was decent, just a bit overcooked, and my father's food was good as well. My mom got the farm fresh salad with salmon, and the salmon was luke warm, gray, and tasted like it had been sitting out. Naturally, my mom did not eat it, and I tried some as well when she originally received the order, and agreed with her sentiment. They did end up taking 10% off the bill, but in my opinion, having worked in the service industry, it should have been removed completely. The waitress was also very consistently checking in with her other tables around us, but only checked in with us maybe twice, and we were seated for just under an hour. We did get a gift certificate from the company after my mom emailed and spoke about the situation, so this is not an attempt for me to get free stuff or anything. I want to genuinely say that the food has always been good and the service has always been good up until about a few months ago! What happened??? read more

My wife and myself recently went to Longhorn after not going for a number of years. Well we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the great service! The ambiance was great southwestern style atmosphere. I had quite possibly the best ribeye steak ever. Cooked perfectly medium rare, mashed potato with butter. Normally when I visit Longhorn it is for dinner, but today I went there for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. I had the 7 pepper sirloin salad. Lucky if there were 5 little strips of steak on this small salad. Would I have known, I would have ordered my usual, The Renegade Sirloin which comes with 2 sides for only 3 dollars more than this sad salad. Though it was extremely quiet in there, the waitress did not even bother to ask if any of us wanted dessert, or anything else for that matter. I love the managers there, always so friendly and come around to be sure everything is fine. I will certainly never order that again. read more

On this beautiful sunny warm Sunday afternoon my dinner companion and I decided to dine at this local steakhouse. We go there periodically when in the area because the food is consistent (and delicious) and the prices fair. Today we had an added benefit-our server named Kyle! He was a winner right out of the gate! Not only was he charming and attentive, but he instinctively knew when to approach our table to serve and when to keep his distance (an art not all servers can master). We go to the Longhorn in Naples Fl. quite often and recently went to the one in Newington. We both usually get steaks but I opted for the tips last night. My wife had the Flo's Filet and she really enjoyed it. The tips came with very small button mushrooms and 2-3 slices of onion. The tips were served in a sauce which covered all three items. Hard to distinguish any of the flavors due to the sauce. When steak tips are marinated, the tips soak in a sauce and are then cooked. These were cooked and then had the sauce poured over them. Will continue to visit Longhorn but probably not this one. Sat at the bar and the service was good. read more

Awesome lunch experience last week. We split the spinach dip and I had a salad with salmon and my husband had a salad with chicken tenders. There was a ton of food and complimentary bread too. The two servers we had (Parker and ?Michael) were excellent- could not have been better. Super nice, attentive and just really made a great lunch excellent. We filled up on the app and then ate a little of the huge salad and took the rest home. Parker even got us extra dressing just in case. I've always gone back and from Longhorn to Ninety Nine Steakhouse. I didn't care much for this longhorn. The crew I went with all noticed a strange smell upon entry. We couldn't identify it, but it smelled badly....almost like a dirty old rag was left out. It was unclean and unkempt. They needed an extra hand to walk around and do some major sweeping. I ordered my go to steak (porterhouse). It was cooked to perfection, but it was seriously over seasoned. Maybe the lid accidentally opened of their seasoning. I don't like bland, but this had some major salt action happening. Their broccoli (which I assumed should have been steamed, was more boiled to death) was very mushy. Food is ok. The service the last two times we went was awful. Last time we had our order given to the table behind us. So we had to wait and wait for our order again. The guy that got our meals said I don't think I ordered all this food. Of course he didn't there were two dinners he got lol. This last one was ridiculous. We went in and ordered drinks. I got a hot coffee and my husband got lemonade. Then we got our salads. Then we didn't see our waitress for awhile. Then another girl brings out our dinner. I asked for flos filet medium it came out raw and the asparagus had some seasoning on it that burnt your mouth out. So we didn't see our waitress for awhile so we asked another waitress to take my meal back. She agreed is was raw. So she took the meal with my fork. In the meantime we still don't see our waitress and the waitress that took my meal couldn't find her. So my meal come out again it was seared more. The asparagus was new with nothing on it. Which was good. But then I had no fork. No drinks. Other tables waitresses automatically gave water to their tables. So we're still waiting for our waitress. No where to be found so we ask again the waitress from the next table if she could get me a fork. So she goes and gets it. Now here comes our waitress. So I asked her for a white Zinfandel she says we don't carry that. So I say ok how about a Chardonnay? Ok she says. Now we're waiting again. Then she comes back and says we don't have that and shows me the menu of what they have. So I said just give me a coke. So I get my coke then we are done with dinner and now we're waiting again. Waitress no where to be found. So she finally comes out doesn't give us the bill but takes my credit card. So now she's gone again. She finally comes back and hands me my card and the bill. She ran my card before I filled out the tip and sign the bill. Then she asked if we wanted any dessert. So I filled it out the top and sign bill.. And we left. Wasn't a good dinner. We sat down at 5pm (tonight, 2/12/22). The waitress was nice and friendly but seemed new and unorganized. The complimentary bread was not good, bland and tasted only of oats. Reminded me of SUBWAY, tasted just like their rolls. My wife's 6oz. filet and my 9oz. filet were both cooked perfectly (medium) but were not thick and not good quality. Both had the same height and texture of sirloin steak (were tough to cut). We went to order dessert but couldn't because they were sold out of the Lava Cake. The waitress recommended the triple chocolate cheese cake but said it was only ok. We declined and waited to leave. Wish she or anyone would have cleared our table while we waited for the check. The table was never cleared. Maybe we will give them a second try. I hope they were just having a bad night. I ate there two years ago and thought it was fantastic but not tonight. read more
