I had a strawberry mocktail which was a bit bitter but nice! I absolutely loved this place, the parking was a pain because I had to park far and it was raining. Everything was absolutely delicious! Have been coming here for years and Burtons is consistently a great time. Ribeye was delicious, the key lime pie too. The chocolate cake was incredible. Dimly lit located in North Andover. This is a pretty consistent meal with a chain restaurant at this point. The bar is known for the pickup scene and you can see plenty of single ladies being swarmed by men looking to buy them a drink. Dining room is a bit dark and loud but the staff is friendly and the food is rather consistent. Sometimes the temperature of food is low and you need to send it back but it always returns as it should have been delivered to the table the first time. My family and I went on Sunday, February 2, for a birthday meal when the "Brunch" menu was offered. Overall, Burton's offered generally good food with higher than merited prices, compared to other restaurants. I had the feeling that Burton's was a "Capitol Grille" wannabe but did not really offer fine dining. We were a party of 8, and the table they offered was a bit too small for the group. To start the experience, one person's water glass fell apart and the bottom came off cleanly. Unfortunately, they tried to wipe off the table with non-absorbent napkins and then returned our menus which were still dripping with water from the spill. The food was relatively good; Burgers (2 Maxx and 1 Brunch) Harvest Bowl, Superfood Salad, Avocado BLT, a Bolognese (best dish at the table), a side of fries, and a "bag" of doughnuts. We also had teas, orange juice, and soda. Eight of us paid $220 which included a $36 tip. One good thing about Burton's was that many items are gluten free and others can be made as a gluten-free-version of a menu item. I felt like we paid a bit more than the meal was worth. I was also made to feel a bit rushed because the waitress whisked away plates while some of us were still sharing with others even when our own plates appeared empty. This is a major faux pas in dining, in my opinion. I am generally a very generous reviewer, but in this case, I think some staff training would help make the service and ambience much improved. read more

I visited Burtons in early August with my husband and had a delicious lobster roll on a gluten free roll with sweet potato fries. Our server was great and brought me a gluten free menu on request. It's always appreciated when restaurants take celiac into consideration when planning their menus. Their sangria was also delicious. read more

Another So-So experience at Burtons. I'm a long-time customer of Burtons, both in N. Andover and in Nashua. I've got to say though, that I've been increasingly dissatisfied with the food in the N. Andover restaurant over the last year and a half or so. I was there on Saturday (3/29), and I experienced another blasé meal. Had the Beet Tower (?) salad, and Lobster and Shrimp Pasta....both were not up to the Burton's standard that I was used to. The Beet Tower salad was totally over powered by the vinaigrette to the point of almost getting no beet (or walnut) taste at all. It is nowhere near as good the old beet salad, served a few years ago. The Pasta dish was very disappointing, not sure if they were going for a 'fresh' tomatoes style sauce, of some sort of ragu, but it missed on both, and was nearly tasteless. The lobster was either totally over-cooked or was previously frozen as the consistency was tough with not much flavor. Overall, the experience was unmemorable. Sadly, I won't be back. read more

I'm giving them a 5 star rating. The service was impeccable. We took our mothers out for an early Mother's Day dinner. My Crab Crusted Haddock was delicious. All the other plates listed were very good as well. Their bread service was amazing. We ate it so fast, I forgot to take a picture. A must try and will be back for sure. read more

First let me say that I love the food and have been coming here for years. Service is decent too. The issue I have had the last few times I've been is the lack of cleanliness. The carpets need a very deep clean or replacement and the booths stink. No really. They stink. I sat through a meal and could tell the place hadn't been deep cleaned in a long time. I was a server at similar restaurants and know the scent- it's just not good. Unfortunately it turned my stomach to the point that the thought of going back is not high on my list. Hoping management reads this and does the necessary things to bring it back to what it once was. I'll definitely be back then. read more

This used to be one of my favorite drop in restaurants for a bite and a great drink. The drinks were always the highlight ... come for the drinks and order some food. This time our service from Nicole was outstanding and the hamburger my wife ordered and the Mediterranean chicken risotto were good but the drinks (which is what we come for) were absolutely horrible ... nothing in them !! I understand food costs require such a thin steak, but the full charcoal coating, complete lack of fat rendering, and mo hatch marks lead me to believe this was hurried through a broiler with the deck closed to speed it up. We were very happy with this place and it was way better than review stars made it seem. We ordered the bread basket that was extremely yummy homemade bread that so light and fluffy. There were also 3 spreads (pesto, olive tampenade, garlic butter) For dinner we shared the General Thaso Bowl which was super flavorful. We each had 2 Drinks ( wine and beer) Only hiccup was my 2nd glass of wine tasted different than my 1st so I took it back to the bar. I have been a longtime customer of Burton's and tonight I had the worst experience ever. It's makes me feel badly for creating this post, as the food was great and ambiance alway beautiful! We had reservations for 5pm, which wasn't located in the system. The woman at the front seemed to be very overwhelmed this evening. Our server was very dismissive and borderline rude! She really had a chip on her shoulder tonight! After years of patronage, your hostesses and server truly made a special dinner outing with my teacher friends a really disappointing one! Thank you to the young man that found our server to take our order after a half hour...and thank you to the chefs! Your front of house needs to be addressed please! Came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon with my family. We opted to sit on the outside patio. Our server was very friendly. We ordered the Caesar salad, steak frites, the Mediterranean chicken risotto, and the crab crusted haddock. The Caesar salad was fresh and the dressing was really good. I had the crab crusted haddock which was cooked really well but needed a little salt. The Jasmine rice had good flavor but I didn't love the texture. I was sad that my string beans were undercooked. Too raw so I didn't eat any. My FIL ordered the same as me and ate all of it. He said his string beans were good. My MIL enjoyed her risotto. She ordered the full size and took half of it home. My husband ordered his steak medium rare. It looked more medium to medium well but he loved the chimichurri. The fries were good but could have been crispier. Overall, the food was good. I only wish the server checked on us more to fill our water. I would come back since the menu has a lot of things I would love to try! read more

Visited 5/18/24 I like burtons very much, but our most recent experience made me not want to return. I can say their food is very good, and their service is fine, but their allergy safety is lacking. We went out for dinner and I informed them I had a shellfish allergy and asked what they could accommodate. They said they have a separate fryer, so I could get fries with my burger. Very happy to hear. A manager delivers my plate and confirms it's safe for shellfish allergy. 15 minutes later I knew that wasn't true, and I was in their bathroom getting sick. I go back to the table and I think our server was on break (normally not a problem, we aren't usually in a rush) but all I wanted to do was get out of there and it took 20 minutes till we saw her. At that point I just wanted to leave so I didn't even bother letting them know, I just wanted to go to a cvs and get some Benadryl. Having a whole conversation and waiting for a manger while you feel terrible wasn't the choice. Luckily I am not full throat closing anaphylactic, but still ruined our first night out without baby. I can say, it's not the servers fault. She was very nice (if hard to find). It was a kitchen issue. My wife's steak was cooked nicely and she very much enjoyed it. I have been going to Burtons for years but it's been two years since my last visit. What the F@#$ happens. It started out with slow service, followed by a horrible spinach artichoke dip. I can't even explain how sad it was. The Salmon was served with what looked like a 4 to 6 oz over cooked piece with dried fingerling potatoes. The risotto was just flavorless and I'm not sure but the rice might have been a bit under cooked. I've never had a risotto like that before. The bourbon pour didn't even reach the top of the cube. A wonderful made to order scratch kitchen located in a busy parking lot in Andover. Burtons has a full gluten free menu and has plenty of items for everyone in your party to chose from. Burtons does get busy, so I would recommend calling ahead or putting in a reservation. My group did not and we had to wait around 45 minutes for a table. The food has gone down but the prices wayyy up! it used to be that they used to have specials on hamburgers every Monday night for 10.00! in PEABODY now you don't even get free bread. If you have a salad, they charge you four dollars for a little loaf. I rarely go to Burtons since its usually out of the way. I had a dinner with coworkers and tried the street taco bowl with steak. The saving grace of this bowl was that the steak was cooked excellently to a nice medium and flavored nicely. Everything else was just okay, and if the steak wasn't so good this bowl should definitely not be $20. Portion probably feels more appropriate for a lunch rather than dinner to most. My biggest gripe is that somebody out there picked up a brown mushy lime and decided it was passable for somebody elses dish. I tried to squeeze it and no juice really came out, it just squished into itself. Even the lettuce at fast food restaurants is fresher than this lime. I don't need huge portions or the best food, but it bothers me more to feel like a restaurant is skimping out to save a few cents. read more

We came in really looking forward to a nice dinner, but unfortunately, the experience at Burtons left a lot to be desired. To start, we were seated quickly but then ignored for quite some time. We figured our server was busy or doing something. Eventually a young lady came over, but it felt like we were more of an inconvenience to her than actual guests with her attitude. Drink orders were running 20 minutes , there was zero sense of urgency, and basic attentiveness just didn't seem to be on the menu. When our food finally arrived (well after we'd debated leaving), parts of the order were incorrect and all came out scattered. We politely flagged this to the server, and she seemed either overwhelmed or completely uninterested--hard to tell. We hoped management might step in or at least acknowledge the issues, but they appeared equally uninterested in whether or not anyone was enjoying their time there. Too busy hanging out by the kitchen standing there. Manager came over later and No apology, no real effort to fix things, just a vague "we'll look into it" that never resulted in anything. I'm not someone who normally writes reviews, especially negative ones, but the level of indifference we experienced was really disappointing. I'm sure they can do better... if they ever decide to care. Needless to say I won't be rushing back. Better quality food and service at Burger King across the street! read more

Every Burton's location I have been to has been great! My favorite is Market Street in Lynnfield, MA but I also like the Burlington, MA and Andover, MA locations. My favorite appetizers are the Crispy Calamari and the Spinach and Artichoke dip. My favorite Salads/bowls are the Ahi Tuna Bowl and Southwest Chicken Salad. In my opinions the best Burger/Sandwich is the Max burger and my favorite Burtons Classics is the Chicken Piccata. Finally I would pick the Steak Frites and the Crab Cakes are the best seafood on the menu! read more

Love this place - for ordering online. Food is great. Prices are ridiculously high but the food does not disappoint. The bread service is amazing. Food seems to travel well and they put some effort into the presentation, even though it's going through GH or DD service. Only one thing I would like to see- maybe change up the desserts. They only have two and it's been the same two desserts for many months. read more
