A couple friends and I made last minute plans and decided on this LongHorn Steakhouse because the location was convenient. I'm already a big fan of LongHorn, although I usually visit a different location, and I'm happy to say this one did not disappoint! The steaks are always good, but I'm also obsessed with their margaritas. I'm picky about margaritas because I need more than the average sour mix and tequila. When I saw a watermelon margarita that I hadn't tried before, I had to order it, and it was fabulous! I'm also a big fan of their dragon fruit margarita. For lunch, I chose the steak salad, which also came with a side. I ordered the French onion soup, and it was basically a delicious bowl of melted cheese...in the best possible way! The salad was fresh and included a decent amount of steak. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. When going to Long Horn in Howell N J If there is a wait for a table they have a really nice bar to wait the bartenders are al fantastic you can order a bottle of wine at the bar and the wait staff will bring it to your table . The service is fantastic the fresh bread a nice perk. Weather you are getting a tea bone or a flow filet or just aa ribeye you are going to get a prime piece of. Beef made to order . the salads are fresh so are all the sides you really can't get a bad meal there The manager Chris always makes his rounds to check and make sure everyone's dinners come out correctly I highly recommend this store read more

Giving this location a 10 out of 10 thanks to our waiter Ty (Ronnie)! My husband and I came in for a quick bite in between shopping. Ty made the experience a fun one. He was so energetic and gave suggestions on what to try off the menu. We definitely felt like we had the best service we've had in a restaurant in a longgg time. Obviously I have dined here a bit since 2014- and alway enjoyed dining in. My review today is for the To-Go orders I have been doing as of late for a few reasons, 1. My job requires long hours most nights until 7p - I am not about cooking at that time. 2. Family is usually home long before I get there & although they cook, it's nicer when we don't have tooooooo, am I right? 3. LongHorn is close to home and the food is always great! So, online ordering is really easy, I was a little skeptical the first time I did it, but it really is easy. I always order 2 of the wings to share and they are good size wings, MINI-ME prefers the flats and they give a good mix of flats and drums, the kids meal steak with salad or broccoli, is the perfect size portion for light eaters. I really like sweet potatoes so a side salad and sweet potato is usually my go to dinner. Hubby likes the parmesan chicken with sweet potato and recently the lobster shrimp chowder is a favorite of his. I usually order from work, drive the 10 minutes or so it takes, park in the to-go spot & let them know I'm waiting. Usually they are bringing my order out in about 10 minutes, 15 minutes tops. Honestly, everything is packed really well, no spillage & the packaging is sturdy so you don't need to transfer the food to plates, so no plates to wash & pop the utensils right into the dishwasher afterwards. It's nice that dinner is hot, ready & so delicious. We are sitting down and enjoying dinner well before 8pm, something I can't do, if was to cook, or reheat leftovers. The food was really good, The server Ronnie was amazing, very energetic and awesome at making us feel comfortable. However I asked if I could have my steak sliced before it came out because I was sharing, when it came out it wasn't sliced and I asked the lady who brought it out if it was possible to still slice it, she gave an attitude when I asked and said that the kitchen was too busy to do it and if I could slice it myself. It's a small location but definitely feels very private and has that regular atmosphere you expect from longhorn anywhere else. read more

Longhorn is the only chain I still go to. However, this location was so disgustingly dirty. Atrocious dirty. Bartender was arguing and cursing at bar with a man... seemed personal. Another server who said she was also a bartender was spewing filthy words in front of us customers. My food and the couple next to me sent our food back for it not being cooked properly. Believe it or not is one of the first places I like to go, and Im a vegetarian! I like the salad, the big baked potatoes they have asparagus and brussels sprouts. I like their little onion dippers, and their stuffed mushrooms are to die for!!! one of my mother-in-law's favorites for a small petite filet mignon.... friends and my boyfriend loves their small salmon with grilled shrimp. Okay food and service but nothing to write home about. NY strip steak a little undercooked for medium but not badly. Flavor okay. Baked Idaho potato, was decent and the best part of the meal. This review is for this location only because I do go to other locations. The very good is: The bread, fresh baked, served on a wood board with butter. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious. House salad with 1000 island dressing is fresh cold and crisp. Flo's filet, is always enjoyed. Outlaw ribeye was terrific. Cooked to the temperature I requested. Now, the bad: (deducted 1 star) The salmon was a flat piece and way overcooked, the seasoning was lacking. Not done to the specifications that all the other Longhorns that I have been to adhere to. My wife sent it back, but, the next one was no better. Longhorn has always served a mid section portion, not a flat end. I do not know if this Longhorn is trying to cut a corner with this or their purveyor is not delivering what Longhorn has served for years. We were treated extremely bad by the waitress. My nephew had to order something he didn't want because she was super angry and in a hurry. The manager waived the entire bill, and she came after and apologized to both of us. I was hesitant to write a negative review but I believe this forum should be fair and the customers who spend their hard earned money deserve better treatment with respect, also for the owners to correct what went wrong, assuming the workers under pressure, having a bad day, they were treated bad by grumpy customers etc, so the negative score is for the overall restaurant to correct and figure out what went wrong. The food wasn't great it was ok, so that's another point that needs to be looked especially when there are several steakhouses near by. Service was poor, we got seated and had to wait around 15 minutes before someone came to take our drinks, even another waitress came asking if we were getting serve, and our waitress was non-existent for the whole time. Food was great but the waiting time to get anything was insulting, we had to wait another 15 minutes just to pay because our waitress wouldn't show to take the check. For a chain streak concept, the food here is always very good with steaks that are both tender and prepared within a few degrees of how you requested them. However, what sets Longhorn apart, at least in Howell, is the exceptional service which on every occasion has been attentive without being overbearing. One of my pet peeves when dining out is constantly being asked "how's the meal" when I have my mouth full of fajitas or whatever gruel happens to be on the menu. Pretty solid menu with a good variety in all the courses as far as different items and varying prices. This past visit I went for the porterhouse and I'm glad I did. This thing was huge! The taste was there as well. Very juicy and cooked to my liking. Got myself a baked sweet potato on the side with butter and cinnamon, which was also very good. For dessert, myself and my family split the dessert trio. Gave us a chance to try different things and they were all very enjoyable. The one negative is that this place does get quite crowded on weekends so there will be a wait and the staff can be a little slow. I figured I'd get there at 5 o'clock beat the rush and have a good dinner so they sat me and I waited more than 15 minutes before I left. Not one person came to see if I wanted water soda bread nothing not one person was around. Then a table of eight came in and they were waiters and waitresses and hostesses everywhere they were swarming that table like they had $100 bills pouring out of their pockets but me little old me alone sitting in a booth got ZERO attention. Um. Maybe I went on an "off" night. It was my mom's birthday weekend. We had talked about going someplace else but at the last minute, she said, "Hey, how about Longhorn?" I hadn't been in awhile, so I figured why not? First off, Howell Township? I grew up here. This place like is Central Casting...for a drama called Trailer Park Trash. When we got in, my mom couldn't stop raving about their broccoli (side dish) and sweet potatoes. I was feeling "greens," so I opted for the broccoli. Overcooked, bad, wilted. And that's being kind. Of course, I know it's not called Longhorn "Broccoli," but I don't think any of us got steak. I got some kind of chicken thing with a portabello mushroom cap. The mushroom was very good. The rest...not so much. My husband ordered the parmesan crusted chicken. Sir, I've had parmesan crusted chicken...THIS WAS NOT PARMESAN CRUSTED CHICKEN. Shit, you're right by a goddamn Stop N Shop...buy the Shake N Bake package, it would have been MUCH better than the slop they put on my husband's plate. (He did get a potato, which he said was very good. Then again, I could poop in a potato and he'd like it simply b/c it was a potato). Our waitress...the only time she was halfway decent was when we told her it was my mom's bday. I think she kind of gave us extra dessert, which was fine. But her service up that point was terrible. Never came around to check on us, and never refilled our drinks. I know I must sound like a NYC elitist, but I only expect a few things in life when I go out to dinner.
