    Breakfast!

Updating my review from awhile ago. New owners took over and it shows. Our food took a lot longer then normal, I asked for sliced tomato as a substitute from potatoes. They were so thinly sliced and not as much as before. Our waitress didn't visit us that often and took over 5 minutes to get a menu. I hope they read this and take the feedback. Training is needed and I am worried as good as this place was, it's about to change.

I was excited to hear there was a new owner. The renovations are nice. The staff is super nicer but the food not so much. My over easy eggs all broken and very dry. I have never see grits this color. I don't think we will be back

I'm surprised that I've never stopped in here after living in the area so long. Colonial is tucked away in a strip mall between a Chinese and Italian restaurant. I frankly never noticed it. Friends suggested it and five of us stopped in for lunch. To me Colonial seems like a luncheonette in the old sense of the term. As you walk in there is a counter at the right and booths on the left. The kitchen is behind the counter. We were seated and brought menus. They have a pretty nice $5.50 lunch menu that's pretty hard to beat, typically it's a good size sandwich and fries. We had to ask for that menu. I don't know if it's for regulars only, or they forgot to tell us. I ordered the turkey blast which was a turkey, bacon, cheese, with russian dressing on a pita. I didn't want fries so I asked if they could substitute something. Our waitress suggested fresh fruit. I said, "sure." The sandwich was very good and the fruit consisted of a good portion of sliced strawberries and bananas. Nice! This is a nice family run place with a friendly vibe; worth checking out.

The location is a little further than we would normally travel, but it was worth it. I loved all the farm to table foods they have. They even nicely promote all the partners they use right on the wall of the restaurant, so you know where all your food comes from. Everyone loved their meals! I had the Thai chicken sandwich and it was so flavorful and delicious. It came with a side and I picked baked sweet potato wedges that were really good and so memorable that a week later I am still thinking about them. Other dishes ordered were the chicken salad and strawberry salad which my friends both enjoyed. Our server was very good and didn't rush us as we were just chatting up a storm. The restaurant suggests reservations which are a good idea, especially for dinner. I will definitely be back and can't wait to put Harvest on my restaurant rotation. Along this highway in Farmingdale, you will find an Italian deli that serves quality ingredients. I…read moreonly went there to support local businesses, and I will say that I do not regret it. Brand: 5/5 Tenth and Willow is an Italian-themed deli located in Colts Neck Plaza in Farmingdale. The logo has the Italian flag emblazoned in the background. The solid aesthetics on the website of the sparkles and shining rays perfectly represent the brand. When it comes to the interior, I will say that they deliver on all they promise, for you will find many Italian food and ingredients throughout the establishment. Website: 5/5 It brings you immediately to an image of a sandwich, which makes a good first impression on anyone coming to the site. Scrolling down, you encounter the backstory and the menu with many selections from beverages to wraps to heroes. You will find at the bottom a regularly updated blog section filled with fun facts of Tenth and Willow. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no delay or disruptions during the time I waited for my order. Ambiance: 4/5 The establishment housed plenty of Manhattan Specials of varying flavors throughout the aisles. You will also find plenty of cookies and treats upon racks, including meats and cheese hidden behind large glass counters. The aisles and the space between them and the deli did feel cramped with no tables or seats available. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Maple Ham Hero, which considers maple ham, fontana cheese, lettuce, tomato, and balsamic glaze. The maple ham had a sweet taste, as expected, which complements well with the sharp fontana cheese and the lettuce. The balsamic glaze had its own strong taste. The bread held well and had a decent amount of crunch, without becoming stale. Everything in the hero stayed in place while it also had a rich, thick taste. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to get my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 4/5 The selection of meals, such as heroes, definitely reflect the brand of Tenth and Willow as an Italian market-and-deli. While I did not have a problem waiting, it did feel cumbersome in a cramped area for my order. Nevertheless, the ambiance of exploring around the establishment did not have an issue with me, especially as I got to see the delicacies from the cookies to the marzipan. As for the Maple Ham Hero, the appropriate wait time matched the quality of the food. The organization of the food shows that the staff care about their ingredients. They make it clear on their website that most of their partners provided locally sourced ingredients. If that is true, then this establishment deserves more attention, and I can see how Italian restaurants would rely on this deli for their ingredients. While the website does not scroll down with silky speed, it does provide a sense of welcoming ambiance with its deep, green color. I will say ultimately that the price of the Maple Ham Hero and the experience going to Tenth and Willow was worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I have hope that Tenth and Willow will continue to have relevance in Farmingdale, and among those who prioritize Italian cuisine and ingredients. Recommend To... Anyone just starting an Italian restaurant and is looking for key ingredients, since you would be supporting local producers while propping up your local business, thus creating a network of local businesses that help the community through the local multiplier effect. I also recommend to anyone looking to add more to their Italian-inspired cuisine and need suggestions about which meats, cheese, or spices to use. If you like Manhattan Special, then I would also recommend this establishment to you.

My girlfriend and I looked at the extensive menu and thought, 'why come to the skillet and not order a skillet??' So we did - and we were not disappointed. She ordered the skillet with sweet potato and eggs and was really happy with her choice. I went for the ultimate skillet - which includes bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, a pancake and a waffle. Bacon is standard and the sausages (including the chicken) had a sweeter, mild flavor, but the eggs and potatoes were the real star of the show - just super well prepared. The pancake and waffle were ok, but I think I would have enjoyed them better on their own - they were more of an afterthought in the ultimate skillet and eating them last probably didn't help. Price was on target for brunch considering the generous portion and quality of the food and service. Would definitely come back if in the area.

Definitely not 90 mins.. My daughter just had to have Brownstone. The worst part of the wait was their system. They do not notify you by text or restaurant pager. That's crazy considering the amount of names they get and the house doesn't pronounce it correctly The food: All of our order was VERY good. Only complaint.
