My spouse and I had never had Longhorn, but today we decided to give it a try. As we walked in, we were promptly greeted and immediately sat. Our server, Esmeralda, was fantastic! She was super friendly, and very on top of guiding us through the menu and drink refills! The knock down in stars wasn't her fault; I would place that blame on the bartender that took at least 10 minutes to make each drink we ordered. It's a bit frustrating to be eating your appetizer and placing your entree order all before the bartender could manage to make 2 drinks. That being said, the drinks tasted great. For our appetizer we ordered the stuffed mushrooms; they were delicious! For our entrees we ordered "The Outlaw," which is a 20 ounce bone-in ribeye. It came out flavorful, juicy, and cooked to a perfect medium. My spouse ordered the Filet with Lobster tail combo, with slightly less thrilling results. The filet, which was ordered medium rare, came out more along the lines of medium well, making it quite tough and dry. The lobster tail also seemed to have the unfortunate result of being slightly overcooked, resulting in a dry and rubbery experience. That being said, the seasoning was very good on everything we had and we will certainly be back. I just hope the line cooks get a better understanding of how to properly cook a filet (and lobster tails) before that time comes. read more

This place must have some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My friend and I went there Saturday evening around 5:30-6:00 PM. We were seated quickly and ordered our drinks. About 10 minutes later, our waitress came back and asked if we were ready to order, and we were. I ordered a medium-rare steak with a loaded potato. My friend ordered the 12-ounce Parmesan chicken with a salad. Our waitress brought us some bread and told us our food would be out shortly. About 20 minutes later, my friend had to ask about her salad because it still hadn't arrived. Then we waited...and waited. An hour and 10 minutes had passed, and we still had not received our food. I asked the manager about our order, and I was repeatedly told, "Five more minutes." Another five minutes passed, then another 15-20 minutes, and still nothing. Meanwhile, we watched other customers come in, eat, and leave while we were still sitting there waiting for our food. I finally told my friend that we should just leave. At that point, another manager, Darcy, came over and said she was there to "fix things." I had even asked the waitress if they had lost our ticket or forgotten about us. She said no, but explained that she had entered the steak incorrectly as medium-well instead of medium-rare. I understand that mistakes happen, but what I don't understand is why we were repeatedly told our food would be out in five minutes when we had already been waiting for over an hour. After 1 hour and 32 minutes, we still had not received our food. Darcy offered to take something off the bill and even asked if we wanted an appetizer or dessert. At that point, it was far too late. We weren't interested in anything else--we just wanted to leave. We got up and walked out without even telling the waitress we were leaving. This was an extremely disappointing experience. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and the constant "five more minutes" with no food was unacceptable. Today Da Bears defeated the Saints. We came all the way from Cali because we're Bear fans. Thank God there was plenty of parking. When we arrived it was crowded but thankfully the wait was only 20 minutes for us. Inside is a western vibe. We ordered a little bit of everything and it was delicious. Have always enjoyed hanging out with mom. It's always a good time. We met up for a quick lunch. Love the western themed decor of this restaurant. Horses, cattle horns, cowboy boots and hats throughout. Now, I have that darn "Boots on the Ground" song in my head. Can't wait to get the moves right. Our server was very nice and attentive. This is the worse Longhorn location in the Chicago area. On three occasions I have been kept on the phone for over :30 to place a to-go order. Then sometimes I have been disconnected....I think accidentally. Today was awful. Someone would come on the phone and then say they need to connect me to the to-go person. This happened 4 times. My wife and I went out of our way to dine at this LongHorn Steakhouse, only to be told they could not accommodate us. I am currently recovering from major leg surgery and wear a full leg brace. Despite explaining my situation, no reasonable effort was made to find seating that would work for me, and we ended up leaving without being served. What made the experience even more disappointing was that there was no indication on the website or elsewhere that accommodations might be limited. After dealing with months of recovery and mobility challenges, I expected a little more understanding and customer service. I understand restaurants get busy, but customers with mobility limitations deserve to be treated with respect and offered reasonable accommodations when possible. My dad wanted a steak but didn't want to go far so we came here again. The wait time was about 40 min which I think is pretty lengthy for a Monday at 5:30pm. The tables were half full and many of them were dirty, so I think they have a staff shortage issue. Nonetheless, our server was Seraya. She was great! Our food came out fast and was all tasty. My son and I were seated at a dirty table. A server moved us. The hostess came up to us at the new table and told us, "There is no server assigned to this area." Ummm ok? My best friend and I went and had a blast! Our server was Andreas. He gave great suggestions and was super friendly. We started with the spinach dip for an appetizer. The chips weren't actually tortilla chips. They were deep fried tortilla shells. I think this made the dip pop more. I got the Outlaw Ribeye and my best friend got the NY strip. My sides were a loaded baked potato and macaroni (no bacon). My friend got broccoli and macaroni (with bacon). We loved it all! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. I had a really disappointing experience at LongHorn Steakhouse. When we arrived, we had to wait around 45 minutes to an hour just to get seated, which was already frustrating. After finally sitting down, it took another 25 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out well done, and then I had to wait even longer for it to be remade. My mother orders soup with her meal and then decides she would like to order a larger soup to go. I don't know about you but I believe Longhorn steakhouse is fire , dope, good AF. I've been several times now and it's gotten better and better. The lamb chops are DE-licious so is the cowboy ribeye. Longhorn has curbside service with plenty of parking spaces available. Every time I've been to this location I had to wait an extra 20 minutes outside of the pick up time. That's really the only reason I knocked off a star. Until proven otherwise, Longhorn's salmon reigns supreme. It's the perfect size, shape and is always seasoned well. I also love that it comes with rice and 2 sides which makes for a nice full portion. I will continue to patron this location......just have to ensure I have extra wait time to spare. read more
