    Lobster added to my filet
    Katie C.

Had a great experience tonight at Longhorn. I haven't been to one of these restaurants in years but I sat at the bar tonight and was actually very impressed. Everyone around me said that they're always super consistent and I can see that now. Steak was cooked perfectly, staff was friendly and lobster was great. All in all great night! Ambiance was kind of what you'd expect from a chain steakhouse. I wish they'd incorporate local art but it fits the vibe.

    Chicken Tenders

I ordered a nine piece chicken tender meal and this is what I received. Next time I will just go to Burger King for this...

This Longhorn is a staple in my life. I always have a great dinner experience sitting at the bar! Food was fantasy as usual! The vibe is very low key. Casual atmosphere. Bar service is always on point.

They are very friendly and the food was great, my favorite part is the country theme.

The first set of filth. The second set was Way WORSE!

Sat down and ordered my meal. Server and hostess were great! Bread and drinks came out. I opened my cloth to get the silver wear and the knife was filthy. Looked like boogers caked on it. It happens from time to time so I stopped a worker and asked for a new set. He returned promptly with a new set and I opened it in front of him and this set was WAY WORSE! His face was that of sheer terror and mine was of disgust. This is unacceptable. How bad is it back there? What does the kitchen look like? How would the food be and would the plate under the food be filthy too? Not finding out. I got up and walked out. Disgusting.

The food delicious! I've been to this establishment plenty of times we ate the wings & the warm bread of course for starters. I also ordered a mango margarita it was icy cold gave me brain freeze. The salad I ordered was scrumptious! although I can say they could've added more chicken. The long horn steak house was everything for my partner cooked exactly how it was requested... ohhh & the wait wasn't long at all r waitress was also the bartender that night and she kept checking up on us and was the kindest soul ever!! "Okay Longhorns"

    Whole lot of tasty.

I'm a sucker for Longhorn Steakhouse, I really am. Compared to most chains like this, this place reigns supreme in both quality and taste. I ended up coming here on Sunday for lunch and left both full, happy, and just a little fatter then I already am. The place was busy, but not packed when we arrived and we were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and quick the entire time we were here as well, especially when it came to bringing the goods. We ended up starting off with some spicy chicken bites and the Texas onion (I'm not including the bread here, we all get the bread). I picked the Longhorn for my main course, a 22oz porterhouse that is packed with flavour and juicy deliciousness with a side of street corn. Did I like my food? Well now. Bread- Hey, the bread is really good and deserves it's own thumbs up. Spicy Chicken Bites- I absolutely love the little spicy chicken bites that this place serves up. I can't explain it but they pack a unique punch that is the perfect way to start off a meal. Texas Onion- I really liked the Texas onion bites, way more then I was expecting. They are basically little onion petals packed full of crunchy flavour. Street Corn- The perfect corn on the cob! It was hot, flavourful, and whatever was on top of it made me want to dance in little circles. The Longhorn- This was a fantastic steak compared to other similar restaurants. I ordered mine rare and they did it just the way I wanted. I was so full by the time I got my steak that I was only able to consume half of it. Overall, I had a great meal and time at Longhorn Steakhouse. The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful, and other then spilling sauce on my shorts (100% my fault), it was a 5 star experience!

There's different prices depending if you go for lunch or dinner, you can order steak, prime rib, Salmon, salads or chicken tenders.I had the salmon dinner with rice and a sweet potato, it was delicious and tender, complimentary bread is also included. For dessert I ordered the strawberry shortcake which was very scrumptious. There is also a bar if your interested in just drinks.

We met up with some friends about 6pm, it was pretty busy, but it's usually like post work people at the bar enjoying and camaraderie. We sat in the covered patio area, after grabbing some menus from the bar. For those new to this, you order your food at the bar if you're not eating right at the bar. The folks here that work are super kind, and I see the same two every time I come in so it's pretty consistent. The four of us ordered some drinks, burgers and a specialty flavored basket of wings. It came out pretty quickly for how busy it was. We all demolished our food, and spent a good two hours there just chatting and catching up. I'm a creature of habit and got the black and blue burger with fries. I also got the cider. My boyfriend got the prohibition signature burger with tots, and the seasonal Pumpking beer. We got the chili garlic wings and those were solid. Drowned in sauce and crispy. Our friends got the Bern burger with tots and the prohibition signature turkey burger with onion rings. They got a beer and a Cabernet respectively. I really enjoyed my cider and they enjoyed their drinks. The burgers were on point as always, and I enjoy my fries with vinegar and ketchup. Onion rings and tots were nice and crispy without being greasy. No complaints at all here. Will be back soon.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

The craziest part about it is that Winfield's Pub is literally just 10 minutes from my House. A conveniently small place that packs big Bold Flavors. Like as you are driving down Ridge Road towards the main Lackawanna area. A place that if you want to enjoy, you'd have to park in front of it or park on the Side Streets of the neighborhood across from it and walk over. After trying out their Food at a Stillwater Farm Dinner consisting or Birria Tacos and Sausage stuffed Chicken Breast. To me that was a nice welcoming Card telling me to come right away instead of wasting more time ignoring the Place. You walk up 3 Steps and in you are greeted by the Owner's wife Sherryl, the Owner and the Head of Winfield's (Tab Daulton) is running the show making sure food gets pumped out of their Small Kitchen. While their son Thomas is at the Bar making Cocktails of the highest Quality with some of the most unique names that I've ever heard. My 1st visit was enjoying a Birthday Dinner with loved ones in the center of the Restaurant. While going over the menu, I had my 1st Cocktail called The Ghostwriter in a tall cylindrical glass that had Gin, Herbal Liqueur, Coconut, Lime, Lemongrass Syrup & Dill. Sweet and Herbaceous. Next up was some Fresh made Focaccia Bread studded with Rosemary, Garlic, Tomatoes and Zucchini that was so Warm and Flavorful like it just came right out the Oven. You know I like to drink Beer and cook with it too, I couldn't help but get myself a cup of their Beer Cheese soup with Bratwurst and Housemade Croutons. Every single Spoonful I took was Rich with a hint of Spicy heat at the end. Next up was a plate off Duck Confit Poutine with Goat Cheese (I opted for that instead of Cheese Curds). You might look at it and see a big globby mess but what I saw and what I ate was pure Gluttonous Heaven. French Fries, bits of Rich and Tender Duck Meat and mild and Tangy Cheese which equaled a comforting Bite. Next was another Cocktail I got called the Dirty Harry (named after one of Clint Eastwood's best-known roles). Another drink that hit hard consisting of Pineapple, Doctor Bird Rum, Boomsa Herbal Liquor and Banana Shrub Jam. While waiting for my main course, I tried some of Nathan's BBQ Pork Belly Burnt Ends. Who doesn't like tender Pieces of Meat with the outside bring Crispy while the Meat inside just melts away on your Tongue. For our Entrees, everyone enjoyed something different like Nathan and Brianna having Seared Chicken with Vegetables, Mike enjoying a Burger, Rick just getting a few Appetizers, Grandma Carol eating Fish Tacos, Jimmy and Kathy enjoying a Steak. While I got myself Seared Scallops over Sweet Corn Risotto with Tarragon. This looked to me and ate like a Summer Dish, why on earth was it on the Menu during close to Fall/Winter, I don't know. But I'll say this, I loved every bite, you get Sweetness from both the Seafood and the Corn with the Tarragon at the end giving it a light hit of Licorice. Thomas kindly gave me a Complimentary Drink while waiting for Dessert called the Legislation #2. It had Rye Whiskey, Dry Vermouth, Orange Cognac and Acidic Phosphate. While it had all those Ingredients, it was a simple looking Drink with a Jurassic sized Ice Cube in it. But I will say this, this drink packed one heck of a Potent Punch. To finish off the Meal, I got myself a big slice of Guinness Chocolate Cake. One of my favorite Beers has been Transformed into a Dessert. It had such a Deep chocolate Flavor with richness from the frosting packed in between each layer. I walked over and personally thank Tab and his Crew for the great Food that night. The only issue we had was waiting to get our Checks, but other than that everything went great. Another one to cross off my list, another restaurant that I will no longer Ignore. Winfield's better be ready for some more Visits from me in the Future. !!!
