Loud county music, bustling tables, lineup out the door, waiters carrying huge serving platters over their hands. It's crazy in there. Anyway the food was awesome. They fill you up on free buckets of peanuts and amazing handmade bread with cinnamon butter. Just delicious. The mains were all outstanding including the salmon and steak we ordered which was perfectly cooked. The salad dressings are made in house and my Italian was excellent. My husband loved his Ceasar. Consistent! Went in on a Friday to be disappointed that the Early Dine isn't active on Friday's. However, the service and food hit the spot. The country fried chicken and gravy was amazing according to the misses, a big piece smothered in gravy, which I had to try and that might be the best gravy I've had in quite some time. Seems as if this location prefers you to make reservations. We don't have one, they weren't busy. We were ushered in front of the window where bread is lined up for the servers. We had to keep moving because servers were trying to get to the bread. Poor execution and poor decision on where to have people stand to wait for a table. We were only there for a minute or two before being taken to a table. This same scenario happened to the couple behind us. Seems as if a small change could fix this. Our server was friendly, very helpful on answering all our questions. We were short on time as we had a flight out of town. The server was able to get our order taken and the food came out very quickly. Overall we would come back again, food and service are really good. Don't get me wrong--this isn't a five-star steakhouse where you're paying $100 for a steak. Instead, it's a chain where you can get a decent cut of steak, solid service, and very reasonable prices. If you go at certain times, they offer great deals--though we always seem to miss them. I've had a few steaks here, and they're consistently on point. With recent inflation, I've noticed their prices have gone up like most places, but the portion sizes have shrunk a bit. Service was quick as we didn't have a reservation and we had 8 people in our party. We received rolls and butter right away and had pretty quick service. There was a couple times that drinks and refilling of drinks was very slow and didn't come around to ask if we needed more. The location was nice with lots of tv s and decor to look at. It was my mom's birthday and the server asked her before announcing to everyone that it was her birthday. They did not give any dessert or treat for her birthday but just a shout out to everyone in the restaurant . Kids enjoyed their food and adults did too other than they nickel and dime you on everything when it comes to adding toppings to either your potato or steak. Once my food arrived, I realized I was missing add-on and change requests, but the rubber who stopped the food off ran off without asking if everything looked OK and veggie i could even look back up.... then ten minutes later the waiter arrives and I advise him off the errors... and did also mention the raw shrimp.... well 10 more minutes and these errors were"corrected", ALMOST.... now at this point, my food is ice cold. Even after getting on the waitlist with an estimated wait of 1 1/2 hours, we still had to wait another 35 minutes. Luckily we went shopping in the same plaza. While traveling on business with two colleagues, we visited Texas Roadhouse in Cheektowaga after receiving complimentary appetizer coupons from the Residence Inn where we were staying. Based on a recommendation at the table, we ordered the fried pickles and were enjoying both the food and conversation. Partway through the meal, our waiter--who was professional and courteous throughout--returned to inform us that the coupon had expired and could not be accepted. We asked if, given that we were business travelers and the appetizer was only about $6, a current coupon could be honored instead. Our waiter kindly offered to check with management. Unfortunately, the interaction that followed was disappointing. A manager named Julie came to the table visibly irritated and stated, "The coupon is expired and we just can't give you a new coupon," adding that the hotel should not have distributed expired coupons. The tone and approach felt unnecessarily dismissive and created an uncomfortable experience for our group. As frequent business travelers, we collectively agreed this was among the poorest customer-service interactions we have experienced in years. Compounding the situation, when we later requested three separate checks--standard for business travelers using individual expense accounts--we were told the bill could only be split in half, which added further frustration. A short time later, another staff member stopped by, listened to our concerns, and apologized. Soon after, the Manager on Duty came to our table, addressed the situation professionally, and resolved the issue, which we appreciated. While our waiter and several team members handled the situation well, the earlier interaction significantly impacted our overall experience. Because we travel to the area regularly, service experiences strongly influence where we choose to dine. I want to blame hunger and how good it looked for that. The decor and theme inside is all country. If you like country music, this is the spot for you. I did like that you are able to pick out your own steak here too. Our server, Christina was AMAZING. She was so friendly and nice. She really made the dinner pleasant and we never needed anything. On to the food. The rolls were the best rolls I've ever had. The butter was incredible. We ordered some fried pickles for an appetizer and each got a salad with our meal. They have a good selection of drinks and cocktails here too. I got the ribeye with mashed potatoes and mushrooms. It was delicious. They cooked it perfectly and it was surprisingly good for what I was expecting. I couldn't even eat everything so we have plenty of leftovers. Overall, I had a good experience here. My most recent visit here was just okay. My husband and I had a giftcard we needed to use so we decided to come for dinner. It was pretty busy but everything came out pretty quickly. Our main disappointment was the steaks. It seems like they have gone downhill a bit. My husband got a 20oz bone in ribeye and I opted for the 12oz standard strip steak. I wish I had gone for the 8oz thick cut because mine tasted a bit dry. My husband's ribeye was better but still not as good as I remember it being here. The sides were delicious which saved the meal. Service has gone downhill over the last year. I did the waitlist so we didn't have to wait too long. We got there and people were EVERYWHERE (no walking room to get to the host). When we finally did get in, the host took us to a table and I requested to sit at a booth. There were booths open, but we were told it would be another half an hour wait, so we went along with the table. Within 2-3 minutes of getting seated, multiple other parties around us were seated at a booth which was a little annoying. Food was okay. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. If I could come here and just eat these all day, it would be an endless amount of 5 stars. The rest of the food is eh. If you are looking for a cheap steak, then it's fine. They do cook it well! And if you are someone who likes rare steak but always have to send it back because they didn't cook it properly, I wouldn't worry about that here. I do recommend paying the extra money to get your steak loaded with onions and mushrooms and cheese. It does bring them to the next level! But prepare for it because they are pretty salty. Absolutely would not recommend the "roadkill" entree. It's not steak, it's more like ground beef. They do have alot of side options. Though I didn't see Mac and cheese? And that makes me sad.
