The bread was hard and barely warm. It was hard to cut and left an horrible mess on the table. The butter was VERY chalky and it could barely spread on the bread. The bread is normally a high light to the start of our meal. The 1/2 steakhouse burger (Lunch time) had very good flavor. Make sure to order it medium well so you can enjoy some of the juices. Otherwise it will be dry. The fries were like warm. The season steakhouse wings were great!! Love how they put the buffalo sauce on the side so you can enjoy the wing flavor. Now the crispy Brussels sprouts yes they were crispy. But they lacked flavor, even salt and pepper couldn't revive these. I have had better from Longhorns, very disappointed. Ordered parmesan crusted chicken (12oz) with loaded potatoes for my parents. They loved the meal and it was take out!! Also a mixed green salad with blue cheese and loaded potato soup. As much as I enjoyed the food here and other Lonhorn locations, the service at the Oxford AL spot was some of the worst we've ever had. Plates came out late or not at all. We expect there to be some wait times on a Friday night at a popular spot but if your wait staff continually apologizes for the slow service then it's not just in the customer's mind. I won't name our waitress cause I don't think it was her fault. The place was lively with the weekend crowd and we were seated pretty fast. The entrees were great when they did reach the table. My ribeye was cooked to the perfect temp and the Brussel sprouts were very good. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. Sierra did a great job with what she had to work with. The entry door windows were filthy, that should have given me a warning! The service was quick and the salad was good. Was there on May 28, 2026. There was a strong odor of mop water, urine, and nasty carpet. The lobby was gross and there was no one attending the host area. The service was extremely slow, and the restaurant was not busy at all. I wouldn't recommend the strawberry salad. Won't be going there again. read more

I have to say I have never been to a "bad" longhorn it made me so sad seeing this one like this. Number one it was dirty, it was unorganized and just scattered. I only gave it two stars because our waitress really tried and the manager came over when everything got messed up. We orders the shrimp as appetizer like we airways do then our steaks I got a filet medium and my husband got a ribeye medium our appetizer didny come out at all.....we got our food the steak I ordered was not medium it was rare for sure had to send that back. The appetizer came out right after our food the manager came out said we will take off the appetizer and get your steak fixed we are very sorry. After that everything went smoothly. My wife and I had a great experience during dinner service. Hannah was a great server who was always attentive to us and made sure to stop by if we had questions, even if she had her hands full of drinks. We ordered the 9 chicken tenders to share and I had an amazing sweet potato and my wife also enjoyed her loaded baked potato. It was a relief to hear that our sweet tea was waiting because it was being made fresh, while other restaurants will serve it hours past expiration. Our server was very nice but I would not return any locations of this chain restaurant especially this one. Food was not good. Not sure how they ran out of baked potatoes when the restaurant was not busy. Our server didn't even ask if we wanted mashed but they gave us mashed potatoes instead. Well I never got mine and then just cancelled because I didn't want mashed potatoes. Glad I did because the rest of my group said the mashed potatoes were cold as were the ribs they ordered. I came to this Longhorn at 9 pm last night,1 hour before closing. My husband and I are visiting from California. Alrighty then, the two stars are for the food. It was pretty good, honestly. We ordered the spinach dip with pita chips, and two glasses of wine for my husband, then he ordered the 20oz outlaw ribeye with fries and a Caesar salad on the side. The food was fine, but I couldn't focus on that--more on that later. The issues come with the cleanliness of the entire restaurant right up to the dishes. There was a strange smell that wafted from the floors to the ceiling. I wondered when was the last time they had these carpets properly cleaned. I look down and see crumbs on crumbs on crumbs on the booth corners and just nastiness on the floors which was ironic, maybe because of the amount of employees mind numbingly sweeping. Stop sweeping, get a vacuum and a rug doctor, and clean the grime off these carpets!! Also, we received the appetizer bread it was hard as a rock. Couldn't eat that. The plates that they sat down for the bread still had food on them!! The dishes were greasy and nasty and were not clean. While I was eating I kept thinking was I gonna get food poisoning from any unwashed dishes that my food was served on. This is sad, because the food was good but that dooesn't matter if they don't care enough to wash the dishes. Please have more pride in your establishment. Also the service wasn't worth mentioning, the server who did the bare minimum to bring our food looked like she would rather be anywhere else. I Love long horn. Great service, great food. Steaks are always a good choice here. They have many drink options as well. Prices are reasonable and you also get bread and butter as a complimentary starter to your meal. I would recommend. My favorite servers here are Trey and Donte! If I could give this place minus stars I would. We have had good experiences here and bad before, but for some reasons we come back from time to time to check it out. Why ??? I don't know. This time we came in hungry from a busy day of working outside. I got the Flo's filet. My salad was drenched in ranch dressing. I could not eat it, let's just say over kill, on the dressing. The lettuce was literally soggy with the dressing, and it had a had a slightly salty taste. I ordered my steak cooked med. LOL. Rare was more the case. I tried to cut around the outside edges to eat the "cooked"parts, but honestly there weren't any. My Husband and I ordered baked potatoes and were served mashed potatoes, the server told us they were out of baked potatoes. No choice was given. It was that or nothing, because we weren't asked if we wanted anything else just served the mashed potatoes. The server never asked if everything was ok, or if my steak was cooked ok. I did ask to speak to the manager, and he comped the entire meal. However, that was not why I was complaining, because it prompted the manager to become snarky with me. I do not want his free food. I wanted the food I came into the establishment and ordered with the intention of paying for. But I would like for it to be prepared the way I'm paying for it to be prepared. I did tell the manager I was writing a review on Yelp, in which he asked me to be nice. He did comp the meal, but I couldn't eat mine, so it didn't matter that i wasn't charged for it. After being seated we sat 10 minutes and weren't even recognized. No drink order, no hello, nothing. Went to walk out and told the hostess they could have the table back, she rolled her eyes and said "whatever." Walked across the parking lot and got seated with no wait, drink orders in less than 3 minutes. At least we got a "I'll be right with you" at Olive Garden. I have always loved this Long Horn but I think the time has come to stop going there at least for to go orders. In the past they have always made things right but when it's almost every time you get a Togo order it is wrong. There is a major problem. Going inside to eat is usually very good but if you order curbside pick up you can just expect it to be wrong. Usually missing 1-2 things that you paid for and cook level... forget about that... Tonight we ordered two steaks and both were dangerously under cooked (coming from someone who eats their steak medium rare). It was missing the stuffed mushrooms which I had to go back inside for not realizing the salad was also missing. We spend between $60-$100 every time we go and that just ends now. It would be different if they were busy but there was only 1-2 tables with people eating when I had to go back inside to get the mushrooms. Meanwhile across the road at Texas Road House it was full as usual. I hate to do it but we are making to switch. Don't bother contacting us to replace our meals because we don't need the money but if you want to stay in business I suggest figuring out the problem. What a disappointment... Hear me out. I've eaten at a few LongHorn locations, most of them in Texas, and after a flight, long drive, some time watching softball, I was craving a steak and a cold beer. First... Ask the waiter what is on draft... He looked at me with a very confused look and says "What do you mean?" Took about 10 minutes to get that sorted. We order our food, and the waiter brings warm bread, utensils and plates. We unwrap utensils and instantly ask for replacements... Food still left on the forks and knife. Replacement utensils arrive, and we cut into our bread... My daughter grabs a plate and it is STUCK to the one underneath. Curious, we pry them apart and there is not one, but TWO gobs of chewing gum between the plates. Honestly, we laughed and told the server to please take them away... His response "Oh no... [10-15 mins] Sat down, waited five minutes for a server, but once the formality of the greeting were done, drinks and appetizers appeared rather quickly. I liked the shaved parmesan and pleased with the croutons, but it was more like Ceasar dressing dumped on a Garden salad! The Mashed potatoes...a bit chunky, not smooth as I expect, but still tasty. I think it's cute that they serve it perfectly rounded...with butter oozing off the top. That's signature! ------ My overall impression is that the service is good and attentive. The steak and asparagus would have been better if they hadnt been sitting in a bowel of spiced and salty juices. This mix was so bad that it nuked your taste buds. Finally the bartender came from behind the bar and took my order. Then he went and started a conversation with a patron. He neither turned in my order or brought me the water or beer I ordered. He just stood 10 feet away talking to someone. He would occasionally look at me then look back at the customer. After 15 minutes with no drink and the poorest service I've ever experienced at an over priced steakhouse I just stood up and left. Ordered my steak with no seasoning, it had seasoning! . when the steaks were brought to the table, no one had removed any of the salad bowls and there was very little space so the the server just stood there while we tried to rearrange the table to accommodate our food. the "steamed " asparagus was essentially raw. our server brought us the check and never ask whether we would care for a dessert or anything. a total waste of money! read more
