Parking here is a nightmare, even though there's lots of parking in the shopping area the area directly in front of the restaurant is not great, luckily, I can park further away and walk. The salads are always fresh; the dressings are good. The bread and butter are so good you have to stop yourself so you can save your appetite for that great steak and baked potato. My kids enjoy the desserts, I enjoy any that I have tried. For the most part the servers are good, we can all have a bad day so there have been a handful of times it could have been better - but overall great service. My church buddy selected Longhorn Steakhouse for her birthday lunch. The staff warmly greeted us and met her request to sit in a specific area of the restaurant. Our waitress, Alisha, was kind. I really enjoyed my loaded potato soup and baby back ribs were ok too. She was satisfied with her 12 oz ribeye and sweet potato. And the bread is her favorite...lol I noticed other guests were recognized for their birthdays. So I informed Alisha we were celebrating her birthday too. She can not eat chocolate so they gave her a special vanilla ice cream with caramel treat- in addition to the sweet birthday serenade. Disrespectful, Racist, and Unprofessional - Stay Away from LongHorn on Webb Ginn Let me just say this: if you're Black or Brown, don't expect fair treatment at this LongHorn. I've had the same server, Alex, multiple times, and each time he's cold, rude, and barely gives the minimum effort. Meanwhile, he laughs, chats, and caters to his white customers like he's their best friend. The contrast is loud and clear--and it's disgusting. Tonight, he tells my friend "we don't have potatoes or sweet potatoes" right away. Minutes later, we watch other customers being served exactly that. No correction. No explanation. When my friend tried to order a beer, Alex walked off and started grinning with the white customers again--just ignored us completely. A worker in the bar area refused to help, saying she "didn't want to step on his toes." What kind of unprofessional mess is that? He finally slaps the drink down in front of my friend--no eye contact, no words, nothing. Just nasty. I asked to speak to the manager, who admitted they did have potatoes in the oven the whole time. Why out of all places I get ribs bought to me from Longhorn??? I received a call and was asked if I wanted some ribs? I'm like sure!! I'm thinking these ribs were going to come from a well known bbq spot. No dice! It was Longhorn. Um Um Um. First things first: When I got the ribs, the first thing I did was smelled them. That gave me all inclination that I would not like these ribs. I'm somewhat of a bbq connoisseur you understand as well as a partial snob when it comes to bbq. First thing I need to smell on the ribs is some good smoke!! Rather hickory or mesquite, I need that smoke!! Good smoke makes a damn good bbq. Needless to say, no smoke was smelled. Mistakes on my ribs: 1) No smoke 2) Sauce is on my ribs already (That's a no-no to me, you have something to hide!) 3) Ribs themselves weren't seasoned (They depended on the sauce to carry them through) 4) I saw a yellow tint under the sauce that were on the ribs (That's what they were trying to hide, the color) 5) Saw some red in the meat in certain places (Some red is acceptable for some really good SMOKED MEAT, this didn't apply on this occasion.) 6) They were crunchy. That tells me they just put the meat on the gas or propane grill or whatever they used to try to brown them up. I can go on for a few more but I'm tired now. Ribs were just an EPIC FAIL! Hindsight 20/20: When people are used to eating bbq, they wouldn't get it from a place such as this, they do not specialize in bbq. If I had known that's where it was coming from, I most definitely would have declined that offer. However I'm not going to allow Longhorn to get off Scott free with this. I think in all honesty, Longhorn should get rid of the ribs aspect and concentrate just on the steak aspect. At least on the steak aspect they will cook peoples steak the way they ordered it at least 60% of the time. Non connoisseur's: Anyone who didn't or doesn't really know anything about bbq will accept this and say it's good. This is the third time I have came to this place. Every single time the service (servers) are horrible. Today we had Leslie as our server. We told her it was a family members birthday. Completely forgotten. Attitude was displayed as she didn't want to be there. If you don't want to work there then don't. BAD Management... I'm a teenager looking for a Summer job to apply to. I came across the restaurant, "Longhorn Steakhouse, and applied to two locations, one in Lawrenceville, and one in Snellville. Around the middle of June, I attended an interview here as a Hostess, full time job. But, in a different location. Before the one in Snellville, I had applied to the same restaurant in Lawrenceville, they planned an interview with at 3:15pm. On the same day, an hour ago before, a notification was from them, gave as a reminder. But literally 10 minutes later, they cancelled my interview at the last minute at 3:04pm. My interview was scheduled for 3:15pm. And they informed me that they no longer were available for me to attend the interview. Knowing they scheduled me that same day, they cut me off last minute. Back to the one in Snellville, I was informed that I would be interviewed by a guy named, Omar. Suddenly, things were changed the day of, and I was then interviewed by a different man named, Bob. Not only did he ask questions that you'd expect, but they were silly things that weren't relevant to my interview (FYI, I forget what he said to me)... It lasted only 15 minutes and it was very short and brief. After, Bob said that they would get back to me after Omar comes back on a Thursday. I haven't heard from them since. It's been a whole month, and it is now July 10th, and they still haven't said anything to me. Therefore, Longhorn Steakhouse is a very unprofessional restaurant that doesn't know how to manage interviews, nor have the respect to reach out to others who want to be or was interviewed. I am scanning the joint for the waitress and spot her with a manager ( I guess) and they are all involved with an empty service frig??? I told my daughter she forgot to place the orders, or maybe she decided not to place them? She sees me watching her and the manager and leaves the kitchen entrance, comes over and says " I am waiting for them to cook your food" I don't respond and she then remembers the Jack n Coke..' oh your Jack n Coke' and I said forget the drink.. And I thought about the Longhorn Yelp event where I tried the watermelon margarita and the bourbon lemonade and ended up here =) The drinks were ok. I think they would have tasted better if they were a little stronger. My bourbon lemonade didn't really taste like bourbon at all. Just blueberry lemonade. The watermelon margarita was great, really watermelony, but it didn't taste like a margarita. It needed some alcohol also. The sampler had wild west shrimp, the egg rolls, and the stuffed mushrooms. All excellent! I would highly recommend this appetizer sampler to everyone. It had a good variety of items, plus dipping sauces, plus fun to share, plus great presentation, plus just awesome. I don't eat ribs a lot, but my cousin does, and I really enjoyed them! They melt right off the bone and they taste even better with extra BBQ sauce. The mac and cheese was also just as excellent as I remembered. I love the little bacon bits and the crisp breaded topping. The mac and cheese definitely hit the mac and cheese spot. The first time we had quite a wait and found out that many people had called ahead to have their names put on the waiting list, nice to know. So, the second time we arrived before the rush, around five. Each time our server was pleasant and the food was great. Though I've been trying to remove meat from my diet I ordered the ribeye both times and enjoyed it.
